A discord nuke, for the purposes of this article, will be classified as an event where one or more people purposefully delete/ban large amounts of the discord, for the goal of harming the server without approval from the leadership of said discord.

On July 22nd, 2024, the Cascadian discord was nuked by Texas. This was because Cascadia and Texas were at war in a war known as the Great North American War. After a Texan was accidentally given admin by the President of Cascadia at the time, they deleted a majority of channels and kicked/banned around 100 members. Several channels though, survived including several important channels like passed-laws and passed-resolutions. The reason for this is that the Texans were banned by server owner [[SayerQT]] before they could finish the nuke. Additionally, the server was renamed to 'TEXAS VICTORY' and an announcement was made by the Texans declaring victory over Cascadia. The discord was later rebuilt by the Cascadian leadership, notably [[Dracnoian]] and is now fully functional.

In September of 2024, the Texas discord was nuked. The nuke was done by [[KARN4]] after a disagreement between him and the leader of Texas at the time, [[North_Paso]]. KARN4 also withdrawal a total of 16k gold from the Texan national bank, pocketing it. Though KARN4 mainly wanted the gold, the discord was also damaged with many channels lost.

On April 12th, 2025, the Organization of Free Nations, the biggest alliance on the server in terms of residents, discord was nuked. Owry, the Secretary-General (leader) of the alliance at the time, on the last couple days of his term, used his admin perms to give admin to several of his friends and they together nuked the discord. In total, 99% of discord channels and roles were lost, and over a 100 members were banned. During the nuke, Dracnoian, an admin in the OFN discord became aware of what was happening and banned Owry and his friends, stopping the nuke before it was finished. Even though it was stopped, the damage was still done. Over the coming days, OFN leadership, notably [[MasterEWild]], Capitanfra, and Dracnoian rebuilt the OFN discord, which is now fully functional again. On top of the nuke, Owry also made an EMC forum, stating that after a vote, the OFN had been dissolved after a vote, when no vote had happened. OFN leadership then clarified the alliance was not disbanded. Additionally, during all of this, [[Aurora:Pilbara|Pilbara]] left the OFN and Capitanfra was elected as the new Secretary-General, who would later resign and be succeeded by Dracnoian.

The '''Hanse Library Robbery''' was a heist committed on October 15, 2023 by [[Cascadia|Cascadian]] citizens [[Paradox_1080]] and [[8kwng]] of the Hanse Library in what was then Wien, Styria. Tens of thousands of gold worth of items were stolen, including the exclusive Hanse Library head, a priceless, one of one head representing the library itself. The fallout included a major scandal against Cascadia, where the perpetrators lived, and the recovery effort by the Cascadian Government that occurred over the following couple of months. The scandal lasted into the [[Wagner War]], with the event often being used by Wagner nations to brand Cascadia as a nation of scammers, however the robbery became largely forgotten afterward.

==Background==

===Hanse Library===
The Hanse Library was originally a shop that sold primarily Netherite, started by HowAboutAStone in 2022 in what was then Wien, Austria. Eventually in January of 2023, it was turned into a library, and quickly became the largest, most beloved, and most famous library on the server during this time. From player memoirs to transcriptions of real world literature, the library was a cultural icon. HowAboutAStone became very rich during this time, and would amass vast riches in items, including heads, mending books, and more. Eventually, EarthMC itself gifted the Hanse Library with an exclusive one of one head, known as the Hanse Library Head. Throughout this time, the Hanse Library was the place to go if someone wanted to find ingame literature on the server. However, during the summer of 2023, HowAboutAStone gradually became inactive some time before the robbery. The town and nation the library was in changed hands to Bobbobster, who changed the nation name to Styria.

===Perpetrators (Proven and Alleged)===
Paradox_1080 and 3llies were Cascadian citizens who both joined in late 2022. Both were frontiersmen, and as a result were a part of it's respective political faction, prominent in Cascadia during this time. Both had relatively successful political careers under the Frontier during this time as well, both serving tenures as representatives, 3llies having experience as a secretary for what was then the Department of Social Services, and Paradox having been Vice President under [[WrestlingWithGod]]'s cabinet. 3llies was known to be into collecting heads, owning a head shop herself, and this would lead to her(albeit lesser) involvement in the robbery.

8kwng was a more nomadic player, hopping from nation to nation in North America, eventually ending up in the town of Oceanside, now [[Aurora:Astoria|Astoria]], where he became a councilor. He was friends with many frontiersmen at the time, including the other perpetrator, which led to him joining in on the plot. He also had a history of robbery, robbing around 800 gold from the town of Nenetsia, however this was not known to anyone until long after the library robbery. Regardless, the idea to rob the library was originally his own.

There is little record of the robbery itself, however accounts from those related to the perpetrators show that it was most likely 8kwng who had perms to the library, possibly given by Bubuxcx. The idea was chiefly 8kwng's, with Paradox jumping on the idea alongside him.

==Scandal & Recovery Effort==

News spread of the robbery, with Styria declaring war on Cascadia on October 18. Despite this, their leader, Bobbobster, called for diplomatic talks, which occurred immediately afterward. Throughout the same day, multiple other nations would join in, denouncing or declaring war on Cascadia. Milgorn123, Cascadia's then Secretary of State, published a statement saying that Cascadia did not authorize the robbery, that they were in diplomatic talks with Styria concerning the robbery, and that the perpetrators were never in the Cascadian government. The claim that the perpetrators were never in the government was false, whether on purpose or by genuine mistake. This would be called out by Somalia under 8set in their denouncement statement, made just a couple hours later. Over the next few hours, Russian Dominion, Maranhao, and Carpathia joined in on the denouncement, with Yakutia declaring war as well. The final event on October 18 was the Rocky Mountain Brotherhood's declaration of war on Cascadia over the robbery, with a long announcement written by it's leader, REALlimpopo. It accused Cascadia itself of committing the robbery and not just a few citizens, and claiming Beamz30, then Vice President, was involved in the robbery, though this was not true. He also called out the false claim Milgorn made in his announcement, and complained about the embargo Cascadia and her ally [[Aurora:Brazil|Brazil]] made against his nation earlier due to the fact that ironically, he had stolen the nation he then owned from Cascadia just two months prior.

A few days later, on October 23, the Spanish Empire declared war on Cascadia for not recovering the stolen items fast enough, and included a list of items that Bobbobster, owner of Styria, still wanted returned. Veracruz and Iowa joined in with their own war declarations just a few minutes later. Then Somalia upgraded their denouncement to a war declaration, claiming Cascadia refused to take responsibility, and unlike Spain, claimed Cascadia outright refused to recover stolen items, which was erroneous. They then made a quip claiming the tied election between Flatvent and EmpressCorgo just the night before was rigged, which would later become a common claim during the Wagner War. Finally, on October 29, the Rus Empire, then the largest meganation on the server sent their own denouncement, supporting Spain, claiming Cascadia was delaying a solution.

===Negotiations and Recovery===
Immediately upon discovery, Bobbobster DMed the president EmpressCorgo on October 17, demanding to know why his town was raided by Cascadians. She responded soon after, stating she'd look into it, and a diplomatic ticket was opened where discussion would be held, though HowAboutAStone was never present there. The diplomatic ticket concerning the Hanse Library Robbery is now lost media due to a nuke occurring the [[Great American War]], and not much information is known on what exactly was said in there. Meanwhile, when hearing about it, Karn4 and other Osoyans used the robbery as a way to bash the Frontier in their political rivalry since the perpetrators were related to the Frontier.

On October 18, TylenolEC, leader of Laurentia and close friend to HowAboutAStone and Cascadia, went to 8kwng, alongside Frontiersmen WrestlingwithGod and Beamz30. 8kwng regretted the robbery heavily, and was convinced to voluntarily give the stolen items he had to Tylenol, which he did on October 21. This included the Hanse Library head, which was the most valuable item stolen, alongside several of the books that were inside the library. He made an announcement in Laurentia celebrating the recovery, and contacted HowAboutAStone to give the items back, also having a line with Bobbobster. Through this, Wrestling, then Treasurer, discovered that a number of mending books he bought on behalf of the nation from 8kwng were stolen from the Library. He promptly offered to give them back, though this would not happen for some time.

Bobbobster made demands for Cascadia to return or otherwise reimburse items including a stack of beacons, a double chest of mending books, and other items. Though there were pushes to expel 3llies from the House of Representatives for her involvement, including a referendum on October 26 that supported an expulsion via majority, this never actually happened.(WIP)

At some point, the town of Wien and it's nation was given to bubuxcx, who renamed the nation to Austria, and would later merge it with Hungary to create [[Austria-Hungary]]. As a result, any stolen items were now to be given to bubu. On November 26, EmpressCorgo gave a double chest of mending to the town of Wien, which was taken mostly from the supply of the nation shop. Finally, on January 17, 2024, Corgo gave the requested stack of beacons to bubu, and the conflict was considered resolved. Bubu personally gifted an enchanted golden apple as thanks to Corgo herself, and also offered to back Cascadia against Wagner during the Wagner War, who were still using the incident to label the nation as scammers.

At some point in late 2023, HowAboutAStone disappeared entirely, likely 42ing at some point, and Tylenol lost contact with him. This was before Tylenol could return the aforementioned items. Because he did not trust anyone else to have the stolen items, Tylenol built his own library in Laurentia, where he put the items he recovered, including books. When he felt he was no longer a consistent player, he gave the Hanse Library head to [[Veyronity]], who was also a good friend of Stone. It is likely Veyron possessed the head for the rest of Terra Aurora.

==Aftermath & Legacy==
The perpetrators were largely forgiven in Cascadia itself due to the fact that 8kwng had given up the items he stole, and that the situation was resolved otherwise. 8kwng went inactive and 42'd not long after the robbery, and 3llies also went inactive soon after, though she held the Frontier's cultural capital, Chaeronea, for a time. Paradox_1080 would be dormant for the time after the robbery, however he eventually returned and would even go on to become elected President of Cascadia nearly a year later.

Most of the war declarations and denunciations never amounted to anything, as no actual military action occurred, though numerous threats were made. After the heat surrounding the robbery had died down, the scandal was mostly used by those who already hated Cascadia beforehand, such as during the Wagner War to brand Cascadia as a nation of scammers despite the recovery of most of the value of the items. The robbery in general was used as a way to vent hatred toward Cascadia, as was common during this time. The town the library was in, Wien, likely switched through mulitple hands over time. Eventually, the town was overclaimed by towns from the Netherlands, and the library currently stands in the town of Bratislava, untouched with empty shelves. Today, the library has been forgotten by most, as most players joined the server long after it closed down anyway. The ones who do remember it, remember the library specifically for the robbery and it's fallout, leaving a legacy as one of the stranger and more unique events in Aurora's history.

1044845201149153381: Wagner's goal from the start of the war was to destroy Cascadia(it was an offensive war on their part, Texas explicitly stating so), particularly using Overclaim. They failed miserably, incurring minimal losses on Cascadia's part(esp compared to their goals), while most of Wagner died out(Like Chad, who were a dead nation by the end of it), stopped caring, or weren't very involved in the first place. Just because there was no official end or treaty doesn't make it a stalemate.

The '''Wagner War''' was a conflict from December 13th, 2023 to March 2024 between [[Aurora:Cascadia|Cascadia]] and multiple groups and nations under the coalition of [[Wagner Group]]. The war came about through the Osoyoos secession just a couple months before, rising tensions between Cascadia and Texas, and most of all, the upcoming update of [[Overclaim]] to be released on the advent of the new year. Most of the fighting happened through fighting over territory mainly through the new Overclaim update, and through PR, with Wagner Group in particular attempting to sway international opinion against Cascadia. The war was almost purely defensive for Cascadia, with the only offensive action taken on their side being the [[San Francisco Offensive of 2024]] at the very end of the conflict. By the time Overclaim had been added on New Year's Day, Cascadian leaders had already prepared the vast majority of their vulnerable towns for the upcoming update. As a result, the only territorial losses Cascadia received were the territorial atrophy of some towns, a section of what is now [[Aurora:Astoria|Astoria]], and a single chunk of [[Chaeronea]] that had been overclaimed by Wagner Group. The conflict is widely considered to be the predecessor to or even the start of the [[Great American War]], of which was fought by many of the same nations and people that fought in this war.

==Background and Prelude to War ==

===Cascadia-Texas Tensions===
Throughout the year of 2023, relations between Cascadia and [[Texas]] were always very cold, as Texas had previously worked against Cascadia. North_Paso, Texas's King at the time, was a major participant in the [[Battle of Oceanside]], having been the one who owned and claimed the land for the Anti-Cascadia side. Texas also attempted a covert operation in April 2023 to get an entire group within Cascadia, the Frontier, to secede from Cascadia, though this was a failure. North_Paso was already well known for spreading rumors now proven to be false about pedophilia within Cascadia's ranks, and used this alongside other allies in Wagner for the effort to hurt Cascadia's reputation during the war.

In November 2023, a nation-hopper named [[Hersheylr]] arrived in Texas, having previously spent time in Cascadia. While in Texas, Hershey obtained perms to the Texan capital of [[Houston]], and severely damaged the Texan capital in a terrorist attack. Houston lost considerable materials in the looting of this attack. Citing this event as a cassus belli, Texas joined the war on Cascadia and Wagner Group on December 18th, 2023. Through this, they also had propped up a puppet state the day before they declared war, the Restored Republic of Cascadia, out of the nation of Oregon led by Bon_Kranch, in order to fight Cascadia at their home turf and attempt to poach Cascadian towns to their cause.

===The Osoyoos Secession to Chad===

In August 2023, a political faction known commonly as Osoyoos, named after the town it originally resided from, was formed. It was mainly taken up by people of a friend group who had come to Cascadia on July 3rd, 2023, when the town of Osoyoos was founded. The group was hyper-nationalistic, imperialist, [[wikipedia:Jingoism|jingoist]], and they were often accused of advocating for the Minecraft equivalent to [[wikipedia:Fascism|Fascism]]. This was in major contrast to other Cascadian political factions, such as the Frontier and those who supported the presidency of [[EmpressCorgo]]. As a result, conflict would eventually spring, becoming extremely tense after the September 2023 elections. Eventually, they seceded in response to a tie during the revealing of the results of the October elections, between incumbent president EmpressCorgo and the Osoyoos-backed candidate Flatvent_One, who was also one of the leaders of the movement. They then migrated to central Africa and made the nation of [[Chad]]. The secession was bitter, and they quickly became one of Cascadia's primary adversaries. Chad grew very quickly and even overtook Cascadia in population for a brief period at the beginning of the war. Chad eventually formed the Wagner Group with originally the nations of New Mexico and Prairies, and subsequently declared war on Cascadia on December 13th, 2023, starting the Wagner War.

Overclaim had been proposed throughout the year of 2023 by the EarthMC staff team, and despite major disapproval among the playerbase, ijt was eventually announced that it would be implemented on New Year's Day, 2024. This brought panic to many of those across EarthMC who had built up their towns and metropolitan areas before Overclaim had even been mentioned. Cascadia was one of these nations, being a major base of Overclaim opposition and many of their core towns would be vulnerable to the new update. At the same time, this gave a unique opportunity to the numerous enemies of Cascadia, who realized that Overclaim could be a way to gut Cascadia's major towns. This would be the reason Wagner Group originally started the war, wanting to seize this opportunity to get revenge on Cascadia for multiple grievances. The Cascadian government had long recognized the threat of Overclaim, however their operation to protect their towns from it, Operation LNCLAIM, was very slow in the buildup to the war itself, prioritizing other goals first, such as recouping from the activity loss caused by the Osoyoos Secession.

==The Course of War==

=== Wagner Offensive ===

The war started via declaration by Wagner Group, of which was formed specifically to fight Cascadia between the nations of [[Chad]], [[Aurora:New Mexico|New Mexico]], and [[Prairies]]. It was formed on December 13th, 2023, immediately declaring war on Cascadia at 5:13 PM ET, starting the Wagner War. Other nations would join the war, including the Texas-backed [[Restored Republic of Cascadia]] on the 17th, and the nation of Somalia led by 8set, rebranded as the spiritual successor of the [[Rocky Mountain Federation]], which 8set led during it's original incarnation also declared war on Cascadia on the 17th. They were followed by Texas on the 18th, in which North_Paso drafted a lengthy statement likening several prominent Cascadians to the Seven Deadly Sins and referring to Cascadia as "The most morally bankrupt nation on the server", in the now infamous [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IDht8GeZDWcyCCP1BWR3ooEHKy4dbLARDwOhjAFvCSg/edit?usp=sharing "The Deadly Sins Speech"]. On the 20th, [[Tasmania (Aurora)|Tasmania]] joined the War under RealLimpopo, who had previously stolen most of Cascadia's bank through a botched buyout of the Rocky Mountain Federation. On the same day, the nation of Siberia condemned Cascadia, however they did not officially join the war. On the 22nd, Wagner group was formed again as an even tighter alliance, officially listing it's members as Chad, Tasmania, Rocky Mountain Federation, and the Restored Republic of Cascadia, formerly Oregon. It is not known why the original members of Prairies and New Mexico were not included in the announcement, and it is also not known why Wagner Group was formed twice. Finally on the 27th, the nation of Russian Federation joined the war indirectly by joining Wagner Group, being the last to join the war on the side against Cascadia. Though every nation's announcement differed, the goal of all nations who joined the war was to destroy Cascadia entirely. Most of the fighting during the period before Judgement Day was composed of a smear campaign, and the occasional argument in public chats, as Overclaim had not been added yet. BonZZil_ was unbanned during this time, who would go on to become a major enemy of Cascadia until his eventual reban during the [[Great American War]].

On the Wagner side, they were primarily focused on preparing for a campaign to overclaim Cascadia, planting Overclaim towns near vulnerable Cascadian towns and preparing existing invader towns such as Bakhmut to overclaim neighboring Cascadian towns. This is where one of the only two territorial successes on the side of Wagner happened, in which 8set sniped the town of Seaside, a section of what is now Astoria, which conveniently bordered the Cascadian capital of [[Olympia]]. Some attempts at infiltrating Cascadia intelligence-wise were made, such as when GreshamBTW, a Chadian, planted an alt inside Cascadia, who then founded a town near Chaeronea, one of Wagner's targets. The alt was suspected almost immediately to be a spy by Cascadian leaders, who reacted by deciding to practice basic [[wikipedia:Operations_security|Operations Security]] since the alt was merely a mayor. The alt was later caught by EMC Staff during the Great American War, and Gresham was permanently banned.

Alongside this, they also lashed out with an informal smear campaign, publicly accusing Cascadia collectively of being a variety of things, often falsely[Writer's Note: This article does portray the smear campaign as organized through it's naming, but it was actually quite informal and unorganized, don't think too much of it.]. This was through a few fronts, one being accusing Cascadia of being a dictatorship, citing the October 2023 elections, in which they claimed [[Sayerleft]] rigged it against [[Flatvent_One]], though this was unfounded. Another was through accusing Cascadia of being a "scam nation" or "nation of scammers", citing primarily the Hanse Library Robbery, which had been committed by Cascadians. This was despite the fact that the government had been returning much of the value and items lost themselves. A last one was accusing Cascadia of being a pedophile ring, using the aforementioned rumors from North_Paso, later proven to be false. All three of these were used with mild success of temporarily damaging Cascadia's reputation on the world stage. Most of this usually just manifested into just promoting these accusations in public chats, usually whenever Cascadia was mentioned or a Cascadian attempted to advertise, or in some cases, whenever a Cascadian merely appeared in public chats.[[File:Texan Declaration of War Against Cascadia 2023.webp|thumb|619x619px|The Texan war declaration, at the end of "The Deadly Sins Speech".]]Poaching was also a common tactic used by Wagner throughout the war, who often used the same accusations to attempt to sway new players away from the nation. Though they hoped they could sweet talk some of Cascadia's active citizens or even mayors into joining them, the most they could get were the occasional new recruit they convinced.

There was an incident at the Cascadian Capitol on December 21st, where several Wagner members entered the building and claimed that they took it over, even attempting to get the event on [[TBI]]. However, then [[President of Cascadia|Cascadian President]] and architect of said building at the time, [[Setrus]], simply closed the entrance behind them while they were inside and effectively trapped them. Another incident occurred between EmpressCorgo, the Treasurer at the time, and [[CDDragon4784]], the leader of the USSR and of the United Front, an alliance Cascadia was apart of. EmpressCorgo joked in a public Cascadian discord channel about starting an Anti-Cascadia group to get donations from those who opposed the nation, scamming them. CDDragon4784 created a discord server known as the "Anti-Cascadia League", also in a joking matter. In response, North_Paso, the King of Texas, took it seriously upon seeing the conversation, and released a statement condemning Cascadia for conspiring to scam them, and even declared war on the Anti-Cascadia League specifically.

=== Operation LNCLAIM ===
Operation LNCLAIM was Cascadia's main defensive response to the Wagner War. It originally was simply Cascadia's response to Overclaim itself when it was first announced in April of 2023, without any particular threat in mind. However, very little progress was made in actually responding to it, though plans were made. Swamped with other duties, nobody actually picked up the operation, and the entire nation effectively procrastinated until the war's start, which acted as a wake up call. Immediately, many of the active and trusted members of Cascadia assembled to respond to Wagner's threat.

Most of the planning and coordination took place in a Discord group chat originally used for coordinating a defunct attempt at developing the town of Vancouver, which would later be known as the "Girlboss GC" within Cascadia after the war. Ironically, the group chat included Osoyans such as Flatvent_One prior to the war, who were now Wagner leaders. Major contributors to Operation LNCLAIM were [[Setrus]], EmpressCorgo, [[Akeboun]], [[EstiQT]], [[Raptormm4]], and [[Milgorn123]], among others. EstiQT was a major contributor to LNCLAIM, as she coordinated the splitting of all of Vancouver Island, alongside Setrus.

At the beginning of the war, most of Cascadia's core towns, including their capital [[Olympia]], were still very vulnerable to Overclaim, some by hundreds of chunks. Some non-core towns such as Chaeronea were also vulnerable to Overclaim, and they would also be covered in the operation. Two main methods of reducing vulnerability were used, that being unclaiming and splitting, which involved unclaiming land and placing a town with a holder over said unclaimed land. This was possible because of EarthMC's grace period, where unclaiming land gave you a full refund. Towns of concern to Operation LNCLAIM include:

===Judgement Day===
By this point, Cascadia's leaders were tense, although they had thankfully prepared most of their most vulnerable towns just in time for the update. The one major exception to this however was the town of [[Chaeronea]], which was the main town where the Frontier originated, a friend group within Cascadia whom Chad's leaders particularly hated. As a result, they were the only town to be targeted in the Overclaim operation on Judgement Day, though there may have been plans to target the Capital town of [[Olympia]] and it's surroundings through the Wagner-held town of Bakhmut.

New Year's came to Fix's timezone at approximately 6:00 PM ET, however Overclaim would not be implemented for several hours. Eventually, at 1:11:55 AM, on New Year's Day, the staff team shuts down the server to implement the update, with CorruptedGreed testing it out on a neighboring town all the way in Europe while the server was down, becoming the first usage of the new tool.

30 minutes later, the server comes back online with Overclaim enabled at 1:41:38 AM. Immediately, Wagner members 8set, Karn4 and others come online with the town "The_BUFF", positioned against Chaeronea under the nation of Prairies. Unfortunately though, the then mayor of Charonea 3llies came online and enabled Overclaim Shield in the town in the nick of time, leading to Wagner only being able to overclaim a single chunk of the town. The chunk they had overclaimed was actually part of a house with tens of thousands of gold in valuables, however the vast majority of this was evacuated by [[WrestlingWithGod]] prior, and Wagner was only able to acquire a very small fraction of the value stored in the house. After another temporary shutdown of the server between 1:47:56 AM and 1:52:29 AM, the rest of the night would be relatively uneventful, as Wagner was unable to attack any more Cascadian towns with Overclaim. Overall, contrary to Wagner's estimations and the worst fears of Cascadian leadership, very little actually happened and the attacks on Cascadia that night were minimal at best. Had 3llies not come online and enabled Overclaim shield at the right time though, it is likely that Wagner would have ravaged the town, alongside Montana's capital, a nation that the Frontier collectively owned to be a nation shop.

=== Events After Judgement Day===
Chaeronea was the last vulnerable town in Cascadia, and the town only had enough gold in it's bank for two days of Overclaim Shield. WrestlingWithGod, who was a former mayor of the town, put extra gold in the town bank in order to expand the shield's lifespan while they thought of a plan. Due to the fact that chunk refunds had been removed with the official update of Overclaim, town splitting was prohibitively expense, leading to Cascadia deciding to simply downsize the town from it's original 360 chunks to just a third of that.

North_Paso founded an organization of the name "International Court of Justice" on December 30th, likely to be a competitor to the United Front's organization of the same name, an alliance that Cascadia was a part of and close with. North_Paso's ICJ never took off, no record can be found on it outside of the announcement of it's establishment. Wagner members decided to instead infiltrate the existing United Front ICJ, leading to 8set becoming a judge. Then, on Judgement Day itself, Wagner members opened a trial against Cascadia for supposed sexual grooming, likely citing the aforementioned false rumors provided by Paso. Cascadia, not being a signatory of the United Front ICJ, refused to take up the trial for obvious reasons. Not long after and because of this incident, the United Front pulled out of the ICJ on January 4th, which made the entire organization effectively defunct.

Throughout January, Paso would quarrel with [[TBI|The Blockbuster Insider]] over perceived bias against Wagner, Texas in particular. As a result, he created a thread dedicated to posting his own announcements in [[EarthMC Live|EMCL]], another news organization where he was a journalist. During the January 2024 elections in Cascadia, Wagner attempted to influence the elections by leaking the Google Form link used for voting, sending in their own votes through the form. While this was perceived as a victory on their end, none of the non-cascadian votes were actually counted due to the Cascadian verification system, requiring all voters to say they voted in a specified channel only citizens had access to.

Afterwards, not much action occurred between Cascadia and Wagner, with most events simply just being a continuation of Wagner's smear campaign and poaching attempts. Although this too would fade for the most part by the end of January, as Wagner's members gradually became less active and bystanders from neutral nations found the smearing to become increasingly more annoying and obsessive. On January 28, 2024, Paso announced that the Restored Republic of Cascadia would be renamed to the Grand Republic of Cascadia. The last action of the war occurred in March through the [[San Francisco Offensive of 2024]], where towns surrounding the town of San Francisco, part of the Restored Republic of Cascadia, partially overclaimed the town. This caused it's mayor, [[UnbatedAura|Unbated]], to go inactive on the server and leave the town to [[NFISH2021]], who would join the [[Aurora:North Sea Republic|North Sea Republic]] through San Francisco's ingame nation of Norcallia. The NSR would collapse several months later, and to this day San Francisco and Norcal remains in the hands of NFISH, under the nation of Illinois, which is now part of current-day Texas.

==End of War & Aftermath==
The end of the Wagner War was never official, and it only "ended" because Wagner Group eventually fizzled out and mostly stopped their offensive after Judgement Day. As a result, the [[San Francisco Offensive of 2024]] is generally considered the end of the war, as it was the last significant action committed by any belligerent during the war. The end of the war could be compared to the end of [[wikipedia:Korean_War|Korean War]] in the real world, as it never had an official end, and neither South or North Korea made an official peace treaty. By the end of the war, Wagner Group was effectively defunct though it was never officially dissolved.

It is generally considered to be a victory to the Cascadian side of the conflict, as while the town of Seaside was lost, this loss proved to be temporary, particularly as the town was regained in the interwar period between the Wagner War and the [[Great American War]]. Alongside this, the territorial losses for Cascadia could have been severely worse, or even fatal if Operation LNCLAIM was not successful at protecting vulnerable towns, most of which being in the central Metropolitan area. The preparations they made for their towns were permanent too. As a result, the war theoretically made Cascadia more proactive about it's territorial security, preventing another similar crisis in the future.

For the other side, the war was an overall defeat, as their gains against Cascadia were both minimal and temporary, especially compared to their goals at the start of the war. All of the Wagner member nations with the exclusion of Texas and the Russian Federation became inactive by the end of the war, however some of the leaders of said defunct nations would consolidate in Texas and go on to fight in the Great American War, such as Karn4 of Chad and Bon_Kranch of Restored Cascadia. Texas would increase in activity significantly after the war, eventually becoming one of the strongest powers in North America, and they would begin fighting Cascadia again just a couple of months later in the Great American War, which would become a much bigger war than it's predecessor.

Their ideology followed ultra-nationalism, imperialism, jingoism, and hivemind collectivism, and have often been compared to fascism. The faction started from the friend group that settled under the town of the same name, however grew quickly, eventually encompassing around a third of Cascadia's active population, quickly obtaining political prominence in Cascadian politics, acting as a third position challenging the traditional two factions of the Cascadian Populist Era, namely the Social Democrats and the Populists. In the August 2023 presidential election, Osoyoos-aligned [[PhantomXYZ]] won the most first-preference votes, although lost to the incumbent center-left president EmpressCorgo. The Osoyoos political machine reached their height in October of 2023, where in that month's elections their presidential candidate, [[Flatvent_One]], tied with incumbent [[EmpressCorgo]], with exactly 40 votes each according to final preference votes. Due to the tied election, the result was to be decided by a contingent election in the House of Representatives, however before the contingent election was to be held, a majority of Osoyoos's figures left the nation, deleted their towns, and admitted their plan to plunder the national treasury if elected to power. Osoyoos left a legacy of causing Cascadia to go into a short but chaotic era in which the nation was extremely politically unstable and toxic, particularly concerning their feuds with the Frontier, another political faction within Cascadia at the time. After their secession, they would go on to form the nation of [[Chad]], who would eventually start the [[Wagner War]] just two months later, and some members such as Karn4 would even go on to fight in the [[Great American War]] under North_Paso's Texas.

== Foundation and Early History ==

=== Beginning and Political Emergence ===
Osoyoos was originally a town owned between a group of friends, founded on July 3, 2023. They had a whole discord of around 40-50 members to bring with them, although not all of them would join EarthMC. They were not politically active for their first month of activity, mostly due to having other priorities such as building up their town and colonies. Eventually, they would branch out and form what they'd refer to as "colonies", being towns formed by Osoyans, still connected to the main friend group. These include the towns of, but are not limited to Baroque Works, founded by Flatvent_One, Grande_Furry, founded by Nephi_UwU_oWo, and Mt. Constantinople, founded by Thither138.

This political inactivity changed around the time then Secretary of Defense RealLimpopo stole around 4,500 gold from the nation in a betrayal through a buyout of the [[Rocky Mountain Federation]] gone wrong. The Osoyans were incredibly angered by these actions at the time, leading them to urge the then President, [[EmpressCorgo]] to take military action through the proposal of founding a siege town called "PoopTown" on Banff's border, though the Corgo Administration opted to instead attempt to negotiate a repayment of the gold stolen. This eventually resulted in the unpopular Treaty of Walterston, a treaty to pay back those who donated to Cascadia for the purchase gone wrong at a rate of 50 gold per week. Regardless, Osoyans would continue to urge the Corgo Administration to "Grab them by the Rockies" and take military action on the RMB. Most of the communication between the Corgo Administration and representatives of the Osoyoos faction occurred in a group chat known as "True Based Cascadian Patriots".

Early in their political history, there was a scandal that started surrounding their discord server they brung along with them when they joined EarthMC, named "Town of Morioh" at the time. The server had a few NSFW channels inside. The real issue outsiders took with this, however, was the insufficient security surrounding them. The only security to keep possible minors from viewing the content inside, according to Osoyan officials themselves was Discord's official protection, which only verifies that the user had set their account's age to over 18, alongside a "minor" role that the leaders would place on anyone they had suspicion of was a minor. The problem with both of these is that they did not prevent someone from lying about their age whatsoever, and as a result other Cascadians took issue. This culminated in a group chat argument between Osoyans and members of the Corgo Administration, where while Osoyans defended the security levels behind the NSFW channels, they eventually surrendered and deleted them that night. Regardless, this scandal would follow them throughout the rest of their time in Cascadia and even after their secession, particularly with Frontiersmen trashing on Osoyoos for it.

=== August Elections and Term ===
After this, Osoyoos would make their entrance to Cascadian politics in the August 2023 Elections. This election cycle was very unique, as in a total of eight candidates ran for president, the most ever, a record not met until the July 2025 elections. What made this election cycle unique for Osoyoos however is that not a single one of them had been in Cascadia long enough to run for President, including the oldest member, Karn4. As a result, they chose to back candidate [[PhantomXYZ]], who would then go on to become a front-runner in the election and get the most first-preference votes, however was beat out by incumbent Social Democrat EmpressCorgo. This was extremely unexpected to the rest of Cascadia, as it was predicted that PhantomXYZ would actually be one of the worst performing candidates in the election, due to being considered by many to be inactive.

Throughout the August 2023 term, Osoyoos would focus on the Rocky Mountain Brotherhood, as well as growing their faction outside of the original friend group. It was during this time that they gained extra members, including xHydre, Rodekeel, Orbit2510, YoOscar, and others. They also grew closer with the Frontier faction, often spending time together in voice chats on the Frontier discord. Much of the term was marked by tensions with the RMB, the unpopular Treaty of Walterston, and Project Nation Shop. As a result, the rest of the August term was relatively uneventful and quiet, however political stability still had declined since before the botched RMF buyout.

== Late History and Secession ==

=== September Election ===
Unlike the August Elections, Osoyoos was able to put up their own presidential candidates this election, so as a result they put up Flatvent_One as their candidate. They also put up more representative candidates, most of which won, giving them decent portion of the seats in the House of Representatives. However, Flatvent_One would go on to lose the election to EmpressCorgo a second time, in a similar manner to the last election cycle, with Flatvent having the most first-preference votes, then being beat out by EmpressCorgo's final-preference votes, much of which was from the Frontier Faction, who had become wary of Osoyoos by this point. The silver lining for Osoyoos though is that two of them got to be in Corgo's cabinet, with Flatvent_One as the Secretary of Home Affairs, already having been an advisor beforehand, and Karn4 as the Secretary of Defense.

=== Feuds with Frontier and Jefferson ===
Immediately after the September elections, Osoyoos publicly scorned the Frontier as political enemies, accusing them of betrayal. They claimed that the Frontier violated a pact they made, that they would put each other's presidential candidates, Flatvent_One and Beamz30 in second-preference, which would boost both factions electorally above the Social Democrat faction of Cascadia. Frontier-supporting voters did not do this, mainly putting EmpressCorgo as their second preference vote instead of Flatvent. The Frontier denied such a pact ever being agreed to, and as it would have it, no evidence for such a deal has come up since. Regardless, Osoyoos supporters and leaders immediately started to spar with Frontier ones, in arguments in Cascadia's international general chat that would last thousands of messages over a couple days.

Both factions would appeal to the Corgo Administration to take their side, however EmpressCorgo elected not to take a side, at least at first. By this point, both factions were still neutral or even friendly with the Social Democrat faction. Regardless of this, EmpressCorgo sympathized with the Frontier side of the feud, believing Osoyoos's accusation to be erroneous and their agitation to be arbitrary. As EmpressCorgo's cabinet included both Frontiersmen and Osoyans, her cabinet would be ideologically split this term, and entrenched, toxic arguments would spring in the cabinet chat, something that was and continues to be extremely rare in Cascadia's cabinet chats. Eventually, EmpressCorgo had enough and fired Flatvent_One from her cabinet on October 5th, replacing him with GreshamBTW, who was another Osoyan, but less agitating to the other cabinet members.

In an incident on September 30, one or more Osoyans visited the Jeffersonian capital of Fresno, where one Osoyan criticized the quality of the builds there, possibly outright shit-talking them. In response, Rocksthunder, the leader of the nation, snapped back by referencing Town of Morioh's unsecured NSFW channels. Osoyoos took grave offense to this, believing it to imply that they were pedophiles. As a result, Osoyoos considered Jefferson to be an enemy because of this, and believed that Cascadia should declare war on and conquer the nation. They even drafted a bill to declare war on Jefferson entirely, however this failed to pass the House of Representatives by a wide margin, with the President likely to veto it even if it did. This was in contrast to the official relations between the two nations, as Cascadia and Jefferson were close allies and both governments regularly convened. Both the Social Democrats and Frontiersmen believed Osoyoos's grudge to be ridiculous, and it was one of the main contributing factors to the Corgo Administration finally growing tired of the faction, and choosing to fully oppose them later on.

Throughout October, both sides would take shots at each other's reputation, with the Frontier slinging accusations of Osoyoos being filled with "creeps" and "sexual deviants", citing Town of Morioh's now-deleted NSFW channels. Frontier would also refer to Osoyoos as ideological extremists, particularly accusing them of fascism, leaking recordings of voice chats to the Corgo Administration where Osoyan leaders said to "get the cringe people out", in an attempt to get the Corgo Administration on their side. Osoyan leaders would also leak to the Corgo Administration plans by the Frontier to secede from Cascadia assisted by North_Paso, which was leaked by North_Paso himself. However, the Corgo administration didn't take offense to the gesture, as the plan was several months ago by this point and had been abandoned very quickly. By the week of the October 2023 Elections, the Corgo Administration was fully on the side of the Frontier, believing Osoyoos's imperialist ideas and hints at authoritarianism to be a threat to the nation, alongside being tired of needing to hold back the faction from escalating relatively minor incidents with other groups.

=== October Election and Secession ===
The buildup to the October Election was tense, and extremely chaotic, as the nation was divided between Osoyoos and a coalition between Social Democrats and Frontiersmen. Osoyoos championed being for invading Jefferson, making a better deal with the RMB, whom they were friendly with by this point, and heavily criticized the Frontier and Social Democrats for being "cowardly". On the other hand, the Frontier's candidate, Beamz30, simply went with the usual Frontier policies of the time, although being vehemently Anti-Osoyoos. The Social Democrat candidate, incumbent EmpressCorgo, also continued her usual policies of economic development, however adding pacifism, heavily criticizing Osoyoos for their imperialism and anti-democratic hinting, praising her and the Frontier's presidential ticket as "a vote for sanity". Heated discussions plagued the election, with Osoyan leaders hinting at undemocratic ideals, however possibly sarcastic. There was also another presidential candidate, named YoOscar, who was Osoyoos-Aligned, however did not gain traction and would go on to only get a tiny fraction of the vote.

On the night of October 22, the voting period had passed, and Sayerleft started to count votes. By XX:XX PM ET, she had completed the counting, and around 20~ people gathered in a nation-wide voice chat to watch the election results, including members from all factions. The election results were revealed by live messages in a dedicated channel, and Sayerleft had started the process of this at 8:00 PM ET. In the presidential results, first-preference votes had Osoyoos with a near majority of the vote, with EmpressCorgo and Beamz30 trailing behind. YoOscar's small voting pool was then redistributed, with one vote going to Flatvent_One, and one going to EmpressCorgo. Then finally, Beamz30 was eliminated, with every single vote of his going to EmpressCorgo, bringing EmpressCorgo and Flatvent_One to a perfect tie, requiring a house vote for one candidate to win.

Osoyoo's immediate reaction was of extreme anger, and they decided to hold a speech in their hometown of the same name, of which around a dozen came. It was revealed by Milgorn123 however that the platform the audience stood on was actually a carpet trap. Because of his actions, only a single person died to the trap, and he was later awarded with the Cascadian Medal of Freedom. In the voice chat, Osoyan leaders in extreme anger denounced Cascadia, complained about Cascadia's electoral system, the [[Nonpartisan proportionality|Single Transferable Vote]], and announced their secession from Cascadia to start a nation in Africa, later known to be Chad, which happened immediately after.

Alucart, a leader within the movement, is widely known for declaring in a well known quote:

"Alrighty ya'll it's been fun while it lasted but imma be real, that election proved that some of you people are fake fellas. I'm out. Good luck on y'all's next election cuz you guys are gonna need it!"

The Osoyoos Secession happened throughout the night and into the next day. At 12:07:45 AM, the first town to secede, Mt. Constantinople led by Thither138 left. 30 seconds after at 12:08:11 AM, Baroque Works, Flatvent's town left the nation followed by Osoyoos itself just 3 seconds later. They were then followed by Grande Furry a minute later at 12:09:14 AM. At 12:22:20, Orbit2510 left the nation under Fairview. At 12:25:41, Alucart founded the first town of what would become the main metropolitan area of Chad, named "Akenuts" at the time of founding. After this, Rodekeel's town of Windhelm and Sierra Vista under YoOscar would leave later on.

A few Osoyan towns temporarily joined Nuevo_Leon, however most would very quickly leave to start the nation of Chad in central Africa. YoOscar under Sierra Vista seceded, however did not join Chad. A few Osoyoos-aligned players and mayors who were not as deep within the faction would stay, most notably xHydre, who would go on to found the Cascadian Communist Party with xStoicx, and later secede with NWT, fighting in the [[Cascadia-NWT War]]. Osoyoos proper would be rolled back a few days later by EMC Staff as per Karn4's request. By October 24th, the secession was completed, and Osoyoos would begin to build the nation of Chad.

== Aftermath of Secession ==
Most of those within Cascadia were jubilant in response to Osoyoos's secession, believing them to have been a major threat to the nation's democracy and even security, as Flatvent had admitted they were planning to steal the entirety of the nation's bank if he had won, as they were seceding. Cascadia's population and activity experienced a significant dip, with Cascadia's population experiencing a low of 178 from 280~, not experienced since the foundation of the nation itself. The fact that Osoyoos not only seceded, but left the region entirely, was seen as a major positive to Cascadia, as it prevented Cascadia from going into civil war and losing territory, such as with the RMF's secession. The secession was said to be the second best possible outcome for Cascadia concerning Osoyoos, behind them quitting the server entirely. However, these views were not expressed by the government publicly as to avoid foreigners from viewing the events as government repression. Osoyoo's short but storied existence is often considered to be Cascadian Democracy's greatest test yet, one which Cascadia narrowly passed.

Though the nation kept growing after the secession, activity was lower and as a result, the October term was relatively uneventful excluding the merger of Jefferson into Cascadia and the fallout from the [[Hanse Library Robbery]]. This would actually lead to Chad, who were made up of the seceded Osoyans, surpassing Cascadia in population for a very short period in December. However, by the time of the [[Wagner War]] Cascadia's population and activity increased back to pre-secession levels, and would continue to grow after that.

Many of the towns within Chad followed similar naming practices to their towns in Cascadia, with a capital called Osoyoos, Flatvent_One founding a town named Baroque Works again, and the same so for Thither138 and his Mt. Constantinople. The majority of Osoyoos who founded Chad would later seek revenge on Cascadia, accusing SayerQT of having rigged the election results in favor of EmpressCorgo, albeit unfounded. This resulted in them starting the [[Wagner War]], eventually leading to multiple other nations such as Texas joining in. Chad would permanently decline in activity during the later stages of the Wagner War, eventually disbanding some time in spring of 2024. After this, they would resettle in [[Aurora:Germany|Germany]], eventually scattering or quitting the server throughout the rest of 2024. Two Wagner members, Flatvent and Karn, would later join Texas and fight against Cascadia during the Great American War. Karn especially was greatly trusted in Texas, and as a result, had access to their fortunes. However, Karn grew gradually more annoyed with North_Paso, eventually deciding to take much of Texas's fortunes and leaving, while also selling a town he had sniped from Cascadia back to the nation for four dollars and a grilled cheese.

== Ideology & Organization ==

Osoyoos was very collectivist, and as a result, tended to be more organized than the two other major political factions at the time. They voted in a very unified manner, employing heavy vote whipping from the discord they brought along with them when they originally came to Cascadia, even requiring some members to screen share themselves voting to leadership in order to make sure they voted correctly. As a result, SayerQT remarked about it during revealing the October election results, saying "Shout out to Osoyoos for all voting the same though, made it faster to calculate,". This vote whipping gave them a boost over the Social Democrat and Frontier factions in first preference votes, who did not do this, or at the very least not at nearly the same scale Osoyoos did. This is also what led to Osoyoos performing so comparatively poorly in final preference votes, never gaining more than two votes ever by then. Generally, Karn4 and Flatvent_One were the two main leaders of the faction, however Flatvent would be the one to run in Presidential elections. Outside of this, other lower, but still important leaders within the party included Alucart, Thither, Orbit2510 and Nephi_UwU_oWo earlier on.

=== Imperialism ===
Osoyoos was very imperialist, generally supporting the military expansion of Cascadia into an empire. This was particularly shown in their altercations with Jefferson, who was Cascadia's southern neighbor at the time. Osoyans hated it's leader, Rocksthunder, and wanted to conquer his nation. However everyone outside of Osoyoos completely rejected this idea, simply suggesting that the status quo be upheld, being a close alliance to Jefferson. Regardless, altercations between Osoyans and Jeffersonians were not uncommon in the later days of Osoyoos, and harassment of Rocksthunder in global chat was commonplace among Osoyan leadership. Osoyoos also generally supported raising a PvP army to protect Cascadia from hunters, as well as help in war, such as against Jefferson.

=== Ultranationalism ===
In combination with imperialism, Osoyoos was very nationalistic, not just for Cascadia, but for their in-group as well. They, as a result, would put those not within their group down, including Frontiersmen, and occasionally Social Democrats. They also disliked those who did not use microphones in voice chats, believing it to be harmful to the activity of Cascadia. This was one of their main criticisms of EmpressCorgo, the President throughout their existence and prominent Social Democrat, who refused to use microphones in voice chats, opting for [[Milgorn123]] to act as her voice at debates. They also had a distrust toward those they would refer to as "Discadians", Cascadians who were mainly active on discord instead of ingame, whether perceived or real. This was particularly levied at people such as EstiQT and [[SayerQT]], who fit the term's description. The term, which was invented by them, would later become part of the political lingo of Cascadia in 2025, introduced by [[Explosivefirewk]].

Osoyoos took insults to the nation and especially their in-group to heart, escalating conflicts very quickly, such as with Jefferson and the Frontier.

=== Christian Nationalist Faction ===
A section of Osoyoos, nearly all of which residents in the now-defunct town of Mt. Constantinople were devout Orthodox Christians. As a result, these people, mainly Thither138 and Ayashii, would promote a christian take on the Osoyan Ideology, mainly to promote Orthodox Christianity within Cascadia. However, due to the fact that enforcing theocratic principles is both unconstitutional and impractical in the settings of Cascadia and Minecraft, this would lead to very little in terms of actual difference of policy, although the town would be accused of homophobia at some points.

The '''Hanse Library Robbery''' was a heist committed on October 15, 2023 by [[Cascadia|Cascadian]] citizens [[3llies]], [[Paradox_1080]], and [[8kwng]] of the Hanse Library in what was then Wien, Styria. Tens of thousands of gold worth of items were stolen, including the exclusive Hanse Library head, a priceless, one of one head representing the library itself. The fallout included a major scandal against Cascadia, where the perpetrators lived, and the recovery effort by the Cascadian Government that occurred over the following couple of months. The scandal lasted into the [[Wagner War]], with the event often being used by Wagner nations to brand Cascadia as a nation of scammers despite, however the robbery became largely forgotten afterward.

The Hanse Library was originally a shop that sold primarily netherite, started by HowAboutAStone in 2022 in what was then Wien, Austria. Eventually in January of 2023, it was turned into a library, and quickly became the largest, most beloved, and most famous library on the server during this time. From player memoirs to transcriptions of real world literature, the library was a cultural icon. HowAboutAStone became very rich during this time, and would amass vast riches in items, including head, mending books, and more. Eventually, EarthMC itself gifted the Hanse Library with an exclusive one of one head, known as the Hanse Library Head. Throughout this time, the Hanse Library was the place to go if you wanted to find in game literature on the server. However, during the summer of 2023, HowAboutAStone quit the server and 42 dayed some time before the robbery. The town and nation the library was in changed hands to Bobbobster, who changed the nation name to Styria.

Paradox_1080 and 3llies were Cascadian citizens who both joined in late 2022. Both were frontiersmen, and as a result were a part of it's respective political faction, prominent in Cascadia during this time. Both had relatively successful political careers under the Frontier during this time as well, both serving tenures as representatives, 3llies having experience as a secretary for what was then the Department of Social Services, and Paradox having been Vice President under [[WrestlingWithGod]]'s cabinet.

Within just a couple days, news spread of the robbery, with Styria declaring war on Cascadia on October 18. Despite this, their leader, Bobbobster, called for diplomatic talks, which occurred immediately afterward. Throughout the same day, multiple other nations would join in, denouncing or declaring war on Cascadia. Milgorn123, Cascadia's then Secretary of State, published a statement saying that Cascadia did not authorize the robbery, that they were in diplomatic talks with Styria concerning the robbery, and that the perpetrators were never in the Cascadian government. The claim that the perpetrators were never in the government was false, however it was true that none of them were in the government by this point. Regardless, this would be called out by Somalia under 8set in their denouncement statement, made just a couple hours later. Over the next few hours, Russian Dominion, Maranhao, and Carpathia joined in on the denouncement, with Yakutia declaring war as well. The final event on October 18 was the Rocky Mountain Brotherhood's declaration of war on Cascadia over the robbery, with a long announcement written by it's leader, REALlimpopo. It accused Cascadia itself of committing the robbery and not just a few citizens, claiming Beamz30, then Vice President, was involved in the robbery, though this was not true. He also called out the false claim Milgorn made in his announcement, and complained about the embargo Cascadia and her ally [[Aurora:Brazil|Brazil]] made against his nation earlier due to the fact that ironically, he had stolen the nation he then owned from Cascadia just two months before.

A few days later, on October 23, the Spanish Empire declared war on Cascadia for not recovering the stolen items fast enough, and included a list of items that Bobbobster, owner of Styria, still wanted returned. Veracruz and Iowa joined in with their own war declarations just a few minutes later. Then Somalia upgraded their denouncement to a war declaration, claiming Cascadia refused to take responsibility, and unlike Spain, claimed Cascadia outright refused to recover stolen items, which was erroneous. They then made a quip claiming the tied election between Flatvent and EmpressCorgo just the night before was rigged, which would later become a common claim during the Wagner War. Finally, on October 29, the Rus Empire, then the largest meganation on the server sent their own denouncement, supporting Spain, claiming Cascadia was delaying a solution.

Afterward, the scandal was mostly used by those who already hated Cascadia beforehand, such as during the Wagner War to brand Cascadia as a nation of scammers despite the recovery effort. The town the library was in, Wien, was overclaimed at some point by towns from the Netherlands, and the library currently stands in the town of Bratislava, untouched with empty shelves. Today, the library has been forgotten by most, and most players were born long after it closed down anyway. The ones who do remember it, remember the library specifically for the robbery and it's fallout, leaving a legacy as one of the stranger and more unique events in Aurora's history.
