'''Xeta''', also known as the '''Xeta Empire''', is a nation located in northern Siberia. The nation was founded in May of 2024, of which it grew into one of the most populous and largest nations in Siberia. It is also one of the founding members of the Polaris Confederation.
Xeta has many town chains, which mostly expand to the west of the capital, currently within the lands of west Siberia and northern China.

Xeta started with the creation of Xotic-Xports within [[Aurora:Angara|Angara]] as a quest to find fertile lands in the cold and lonely quarters of the Siberian peninsula. As Xotic-Xports continued growing from the starter plot through funds from mining, the mayor and single resident Capo_Co decided to put the newfound land to use. After careful consideration, Capo decided to employ new players from all around the world to make some quick cash in a challenging way, although with something missing. It was seen fit to start a cow farm, as such eight cow farms supplied a steady flow of leather, creating more exported goods, and more people employed to do the job. Capo then realized that employment was key to a steady economy and thriving community.

Xotic-Xports was exporting those two main goods throughout a good portion of the server, for a 15 Chunk town at least. Capo was PVPing at Malawi as a noob to pass the time while his business was running, when he kept getting trapped by other PVPers. He wished that there was some place to PVP without being Trapped. There just so happened to be an already dug out 3x2 chunk whole closeby. Wondering what to use it for, Capo got the idea to make a PVP arena.
With this, Capo created two PVP arenas to start off, with more created later by many people, with even the town reaching the third most visited town in a day. As such, the focus of the town became PVP.

After a person named '''Imnop771''' asked in global chat if someone could fund his town, spacewonder6 quickly responded to him, saying he could fund the town. However the location was a little too far from the nation, around 900 blocks short.
So, spacewonder6 decided to town chain, got a trustworthy member which was '''Plainfully''', a previous semi-active resident of Xotic-Xports. With this, Knivsta was founded the 4th of October 2025, so Little_Prussia(later renamed to ''Canadia''), Imop771's town, was able to join Xeta.
Then, the towns of Prussian Empire, Town Konnovosk and Fishoria joined Xeta after leaving the '''[[Aurora:Russian Republic|Russian Republic]]''' (Which was confirmed to be alright through unformal diplomacy).
==== Northern China ====
This was the start of the Xeta west town chains, which expanded even more west with the town of Sophia joining after a recommendation to join Xeta. However the west expansion was diverted when spacewonder6 saw a forum post on the Earth Discord, hoii_ was selling two towns, Bortala and Termez. At this moment spacewonder6 wondered if it could be possible to town chain to northern China, possibly making a new terrain for the nation. Near this time the Japan NAP was also signed, which needed to be considered for the town chain, however the sphere of influence of Japan fell short near where the town chain was needed, which was perfect.
After some time and three chain towns, Bortala was finally able to be bought by '''Snowey2k''' as holder, however Termez unfortunately 42d so it was not bought.

During an unfortunate chain break of Bortala, spacewonder6 decided to finally reinforce the town chains of Xeta, now they are nearly unbreakable with most towns having double town chains, with more to come. During this time the mayor of Bortala switched to '''Meltanmason''' as a mayor.
While it was already discussed earlier about town chaining to Xeta's other nation, the Russian Empire, it seemed a bit absurd, but with the towns of Clockport and Sarythion, this didn't seem like an impossible dream anymore, which only three to four town chains remain until connecting Russia.

==== Newly crowned King ====
The 10th of January 2025, spacewonde6 woke up to a notification, which, to his surprise, was Capo_Co showing his draft for spacewonder6's crowning as King of the Xeta Empire. This was quite shocking for spacewonder6, but it made sense as he was running most of Xeta. The announcement went public the same day, Capo stating how he was less active due to his newborn. His final thing he asked for as King was for more democracy to be added within Xeta, allowing the voice of the people to be heard more clearly. The same day, the province of Korglad was created, starting the federation aspect of Xeta.

The Xeta Empire is roughly divided into two provinces, Xeta to the east and the Russian Empire to the west. The Xeta region is shared with the rest of the Polaris Confederation, while the Russian Empire region is mostly owned by them with small towns in the territory.
Both of the provinces are under direct rule of the King and the Chancellor.

Amhara is one of the mayor towns in Ethiopia, it is owned by SlipperySalmon14, with 401 chunks it is the largest legitimately owned Ethiopian town. It used to be the largest by population, but was later dethroned by Elysium. The architecture seems more diverse/medieval, with roadways being pathways of grass paths serving as 'roads'. It has a lake in the north and consistently holds fishing parties for the entire server. Amhara was founded on August 15, 2025.

With only 9 residents, it's population density is incredibly low. The architecture is majorly based around brutalist architecture of real-life east Europe, there is no soil, and most of the ground is pure stone. Copper 9 was founded in August 13, 2025. Although, this is for the 'New Copper 9', as it used to exist in Old Ethiopia as 'Copper 9', and in Nubia as 'Elindil', led by an unknown user. Copper 9 is an Autonomous district, due to the fact that DizzyLP1 and RedDino had a major conflict, leading Dizzy to wish to associate less with the Ethiopian Community, today this label is only symbolic and does not retain much value as it's government is still just like all of the other towns.

As tensions between the two nations increased, Korea took possession of Ishikawa and Chitose, towns in the Japanese archipelago, leading to the outbreak of war at 3 December 2023 01:19 (JST).

=== Pre-history ===
StarkeOG would join EarthMC on August 11th, 2024, he would be joined by his friends in the following days. They would all join the Australia town of Tambo (then named Mexico) and begin grinding on the server. Once enough gold was collected between the group, StarkeOG would leave the town of Tambo and begin trekking through Siberia to find a suitable place to found a town. On August 17th, 2024, the town of Abram was founded in the Angara river valley, just north of Lake Baikal. Abram's population would rise steadily over the next few weeks, hitting 10 people by September. On September 4th, Abram citizens had grinded out enough gold to found a nation, and thus, the nation of Angara was born. Over the rest of September, Angara would recruit a nearby town, send a colonist out to found a new town, and see its population within the capital of Abram explode to 30+ residents.

=== October and November ===
Later into the Fall of 2024, Angara's number of towns would increase. Angara constructed multiple large redstone farms to mass produce foodstuffs, discs, dripstone and more, most of which are sold at the marketplace within their /n spawn. On October 9th, 2024, a constitution would be implemented in Angara, which provided Angara with a constitutional republic government. On October 12th, Angara would join both the '''Global Protection Pact''' (GPP) and become a founding member of '''The Federation of Democratic Russian Nations''' (later renamed to the Free Russian Opposition Pact (FROP)), the latter of which has a stated goal of maintaining and spreading democratic ideals throughout Eastern Russia and Siberia. Angara formed the FDRN with the nearby nations of Sibir and Yakutia.

Into November, Angara would begin to expand even faster. Their town count would rise to 13, and continued development of the capital city's industrial district would bring in even more wealth. Near the end of November, Angara would join The Eastern Accord, being one of it's original members. It is a massive alliance of Eastern European and Asian nations on the server, and quickly became the 2nd most populous alliance on the server, behind the OFN itself. The other nations whom joined include (but is not limited to) Japan, Baltic, Yakutia, North Korea and Lapland.

=== December and January ===
Into the Winter, having established itself, Angara's next goals were to continue to grow their economy and improve infrastructure in their largely uninhabited Siberian region. This took the form of a massive mapart store (the largest in Siberia), ice tunnels connecting all major Angaran cities and more. In December, two cities in Angara's Lake Baikal region ceded from Angara to form their own nation; Baikal. The formation of Baikal was amicable for both parties, and they were quickly admitted into both the FROP and the Eastern Accord; introduced as Allies to their former nation, Angara. Unfortunately, Baikal would fall into inactivity, and become largely abandoned by March 2025, with most of its towns being sniped or flat out being deleted. Their shared history with Angara can still be seen in their ruins.

=== Spring 2025 ===
As Winter came to a close, all of Angara's major cities were developing into active and wealthy towns. Infrastructure improvements allowed them to trade rare mobs amongst each other, giving them access to rare resources that are not native to Siberia. One Angaran town, Xotic Xports, became a very popular PVP spot into March, being one of the most popular on the whole server. In April, a short war between the nations of Central Russia and Sakha had broken out. When Angaran towns began being caught in the crossfire, Angaran leader StarkeOG was forced to try aiding in peace talks between the two nations. The peace talks were held in the conference hall of the Angaran capitol building. The talks were initially unsuccessful, but after a week, a fragile peace was established and the war was ended.

In May, Xotic Xports along with the Angaran town of Ridgeport would form the nation of Xeta. Like with Baikal before it, this was an amicable split. Unlike with Baikal, Xeta has not fallen into inactivity, and has even outshined Angara's population count for the time being. As of today, Angara and Xeta have a very close bond, almost functioning as dual empires, with many Xetan citizens even still proclaiming their loyalty to Angara. Combined, the 2 nations have a very firm foothold in the Siberian region. Angara having its industrial and economic might, and Xeta having its droves of PvP experienced players.

=== Polaris Meganation ===
The 15th of June 2025, Angara, Xeta and Sakha founded the Polaris meganation as the high council and with Evenkia joining later is now one of the largest meganations in Siberia.

== Government ==
The Angara Constiution, officially named '''The Articles of Angara''', outlines an official form of government for Angara in the form of a constitutional republic. Each town within Angara has representatives, the number of which scale with the population of the town; all towns have 1 representative by default and gain an additional one for every 8 citizens that town gains. These representatives come together to form a government entity known as The Council. The more populous the town, the more impact it will have within The Council.

The purpose of The Council is to vote on pressing issues regarding Angara, and to ensure that the High Priest, the main leadership figurehead role, acts with integrity and in the best interest for Angara. For most issues they vote upon, the Council must come to at least a 66% consensus for decisions to be made. The Council currently consists of over 20 Angara citizens.

== Religion ==
Angara officially identifies itself as a '''Christian''' nation, believing in the divinity and teachings of Lord Jesus Christ. Angara's /n spawn is a giant Cross with beacons shining through the top of it, and various Christian themed map arts are owned by various citizens. An official church is planned for construction at a future point, with aspirations of getting it officially recognized by EarthMC's Vatican.

Christianity is not a state forced religion, however. The religion of '''Epsteinism''' is a fringe religion within Angara, which is a carbon copy of Christendom's beliefs spare for Jesus Christ being swapped with Jeffrey Epstein. There exists 3 known Epsteinism churches within EarthMC, one in the Angara capital of Abram, another in the Angara town of Epstein Village, and the 3rd and original church being in Tambo, Australia.
