When I first joined EMC on February 26th I started to make my town '''Mehamn''', because of the area I was in, I got approached by '''airways23''' who invited me to join '''[[Aurora:Aland|Aland]]'''.

'''[[aurora:Lapland|Lapland]]''' was a seperate "state" within Aland which I learned I had joined. The leader of Lapland '''the_estonian_guy''' had plans to create the nation Lapland finally and split from Aland, and eventually that happened. We got gifted a Nation which we all joined to form Lapland without Aland.

I never thought I would want a nation as I was happy being apart of Lapland, I even became a member of Parliament and eventually the President of Lapland. However there was an issue with the way Lapland worked, even though I was president I had no real power, the_estonian guy held the capital and the discord. I had been voted in yet could do nothing.

One thing I could do was hold a vote. I held a vote to change the capital of Lapland to my friends town '''[[Aurora:Rovaniemi|Rovaniemi]]''', during this time me and '''[[Hubbayes]]''' discussed making our own nation.

The vote had ended and we had won, however despite the vote saying the majority of people wanted to move the capital the_estonian_guy refused to transfer it. According to Lapland, we were traitors. Hubbayes and I decided we would make a new nation and split ownership 50/50.

Originally the name of our nation was going to be Sami Kingdom however after we asked the mods they said we couldn't use that name as it had not been a nation in real life. We decided to call our nation Suomi as that is "Finland" in Finnish and where our nation was located. I started work on our nations soon to be capital by creating a Town Square with a fountain and a billboard for our plans with the nation. I had also cleaned up some paths and removed a few old buildings that didn't look very good.

Hubba didn't have enough gold for us to pay 50/50 so I paid for a large majority of Suomi however we still split ownership 50/50. On June 13th 2023 we created Suomi and within 60 minutes we already had 7 towns.

Rovaniemi, Mehamn, '''Sodankylä''', '''Kolari''', '''Karasjok''', '''SkaffaCity''' and '''Vadsø'''.

We didn't expand too much for around a week while we sorted out the inner workings of Suomi.

Before we held our first electorial vote for our parliament members I instated '''catboyHoratio''' and '''Mentalecho''' to be a temporary parliament to help us with important tasks.

After talking for a while with Hubbayes, we decided to declare war on Lapland on the 21st June 2023 to free the citizens from corruption... is what everyone had thought. In reality the war was fake and it was actually to make Suomi and Lapland residents more active. It had worked for Suomi but not so much for Lapland. We called the war off on the 30th as some of our residents had gone to ofar and started griefing Lapland.

It was time for the first official Suomi Parliament Election. By this time we had expanded to 15 towns and 94 members. We had 8 campaigns by catboyHoratio, '''REK3k''', '''Drefllix08''', '''Lehtinenkaali''', '''AtomicUnleashed''', '''[[Smarket]]''', '''1cxleb1''' and airways23.

The winners of the election were catboyHoratio, REK3k and Drefllix08.

11 days after the first election we had some big news to announce, Suomi and Lapland joined together to create '''Suomi Mega-Nation'''. It basically means Suomi has some control over Lapland, advising them on how to expand and who to be friendly with. In just over a month Suomi had gone from non existant to being a mega-nation. 8 Days after creating The Suomi Mega-Nation talks with '''Russian Dominion''' had us agree to make a mutual defense pact which we named '''N.N.D.P''' ''(Northern Nations Defense Pact)'' only a couple hours after Suomi and Russian Dominion created the N.N.D.P, Lapland officially joined making Lapland the 3rd nation in the N.N.D.P. 2 days after the nation of Severnaya joined making it the 4th.

It had been a month which means it was time for our 2nd Official Suomi Parliament Election. This time we had 10 campaigns from, the_estonian_guy, '''Zericef''', REK3k, '''Terrafire36''', '''TheNinthWave''', catboyHoratio, [[Smarket]], AtomicUnleashed, Lehtinenkaali and 1cxleb1.

The winners of the election were the_estonian_guy, Zericef and REK3k. the_Estonian_guy created a new plan to create roads which connect every Suomi and Lapland town.

A road connecting '''Torneå''', Rovaniemi '''Norrbotten''', '''[[Aurora:Uusikaupunki|Uusikaupunki]]''' and '''Kantolahdenperä''' ''(currently Kuusamo)'' was created shortly after. More roads soon followed. Nothing else really happened this month other then Suomi continuing to grow and expand so it was time for the September Parliament Vote.

There were only 6 campaigns from: Terrafire36, the_estonian_guy, [[Smarket]], catboyHoratio, '''[[Salbru]]''', AtomicUnleashed.

The winners of the 4th election were Terrafire36, the_estonian_guy and Smarket.

The 4th monthly Suomi Review was published and unfortunetely showed that Suomi had been decreasing in growth. With plans to boost our population, Hubbayes decided to create the '''Suomi Olympics''' which was announced on the 19th September 2023.

I decided to try to encourage people to invite residents and get more towns to join Suomi without violating claims. Another month had passed with nearly nothing happening and it was time for a new parliament again this time all previous parliament members were '''banned''' from running this month as there was nothing done at all.

The October Election only had 5 campaigns from Salbru, AtomicUnleashed, '''ProctorOfStrife''', catboyHoratio and '''1ett'''.

The winners were Salbru, AtomicUnleashed and ProctorOfStrife.

Seemingly out of nowhere however the owner of EMC, '''Fix''' announced that /t spawn would be removed. The old Ice Metro and roads previously built became even more useful and more started to appear.

Salbru managed to get a few towns to join Suomi and helped to found a new Suomi colony in '''Cameroon'''. A new town arrived in Suomi called '''Bonk_Bonkia''', this town quickly became aggressive and refused to join Suomi stating they would make a new nation in Suomi claims. This would mark the first time Suomi launched an attack using it's army.

Suomi Monthly Review 5 was released which showed that Suomi had started to grow again as there was an increase in growth again.

The Suomi Olympics was unfortunetly cancelled around this time as there was a lack of enthusiasm about the event. In it's place I decided to create the '''Suomi Halloween Event''' in which there was multiple events and the chance to win a total of 200+ gold.

On the 18th of October we learned about an attack on Hanse Library which resulted in 25 thousand gold worth of items and books being stolen. We officially condemned '''[[Aurora:Cascadia|Cascadia]]''' for stealing from the peaceful nation of '''Austria''' and destroying knowledge and history of EMC.

On the 19th of October, Suomi officially announced recognised districts within the nation.

He spawned in Kazakhstan and decided to sail around the world in order to fine somewhere to call home, he decided that he wanted to make a town at the northern most part of Europe to which he created Mehamn, unfortunately he didn't check nor google and as it turns out, Mehamn isn't the most northern town in Europe.

Shortly after he met Airways23 and [[Hubbayes]] and decided to to join their nation of Aland, he continued expanding the town and later joined the nation of Lapland as it split from Aland due to the nation being toxic.

Chris slowly began to become more and more active and eventually became President of Lapland after an election campaign, unfortunately the powers of President was practically non-existent meaning that he had no true power within the nation. Due to this he decided to create his own nation in the region, on June 13th 2023, Hubba and Chris combined their gold to create the nation of Suomi (Finland). Some time during late 2023, Chris decided to create another nation in to act as a shop so using his brother to hold the nation he created [[aurora:Sarek|Sarek]], the nation was made as a large dome that primarily sold mapart and valuables, this nation was short lived as on January 6th, he and Hubba both quit EMC passing on Suomi to [[ProctorOfStrife]] and [[Smarket]], during this time that he had quit the nation of Sarek fell however he made sure not to lose the town of Mehamn.

He came back to EMC in August where he created the town of [[aurora:Tornhus|Tornhus]], this town was relatively featuring resident housing and a large underground head shop, he would continue to play for a few more months gaining a few dozen residents however once again he quit EMC and the new town fell.
