The nation was created on May 6th, 2022, with as capital Amsterdam. The towns of Brussels, The Hague, Den Haag, Antwerp, Flanders, Essen, [[Luxembourg]], Calais, Mainz and Köln then joined the nation on the same day.

Originally, the nation was meant to be called Benelux, but after a vote among the nations' members on May 5th, 2022, the name Netherlands was chosen instead.

On May 7th, 2022, the nation had already created a small shop at its nation spawn, selling various early-game items.

The nation spawn then continuted to improve. A decent blaze exp farm was created, and the shop now sells popular items such as Mending. A free sugar cane farm is also available, and only requires players to AFK for a bit to obtain sugar cane.

On May 20th, 2022, the town of Brussels left the nation to create the nation of Belgium. Quickly after that, it was decided to create a Benelux meganation, consisting of existing Netherlands, and the newly made Belgium.

One day later, the nation of Kaiserreich declared war on the nation citing claim-blocking as thier ''casus belli''. Quickly, towns across the Netherlands began expanding quickly to block the approach of newly made Kaiserreich towns that were getting closer.

The nationality of town Saint-Malo started being disputed in early June 2022 by Franco-Germany, who claimed the territory of the Dutch town as thiers, along with towns in the Rhineland and Luxembourg.

On July 2nd, 2022, the nation spawn was moved and the new Dutch Shopping District opened. It comes with various shops, surrounding a canal, inspired of real life Amsterdam.

On July 8th, 2022, the government was reformed : Ministers are now elected by citizens, and the Prime Minister is chosen by the Koning (King). Elections are held every two months. The four ministers are Infrastructure, Domestic Affairs, Finance, and Foreign Affairs. The first election took place on July 12th, 2022.

On June 26th, 2022, the EMC Protestant church was launched by the Netherlands.

On June 28th, 2022, a colony in the Cape of Good Hope, [[Cape]], was founded by MadGeckos.

The next day, the nation of [[Livonia (Aurora)|Livonia]], bought by StLouis_, joined the Netherlands as a viceroyalty. This also caused the french exclave of Saint-Malo to be lost after being sold.

On August 16th, 2022, the conflict with Deutsches_Reich, formerly Kaiserreich, was ended by the Netherlands becoming peaceful. Due to inactivity in the German side, the conflict remained dead and stale.

On March 2023, a colony in the East Indies, [[DutchEastIndies]], was founded by StLouis_.

The government is a Monarchy/Military Junta. It is composed of a King, and a Council chosen by the King.
Until January 22nd, 2023, the government was a parliamentary system, where members of the chamber could vote on propositions issued by another member. The system was abolished after attemps of overthrowing the ruling government by use of the parliament, which led in a coup led by a military junta backed by the monarchy.

Originally, the nation was meant to be called Benelux, but after a vote among the nations' members on May 5th, 2022, the name Netherlands was chosen instead.

On May 7th, 2022, the nation had already created a small shop at its nation spawn, selling various early-game items.

The nation spawn then continuted to improve. A decent blaze exp farm was created, and the shop now sells popular items such as Mending. A free sugar cane farm is also available, and only requires players to AFK for a bit to obtain sugar cane.

On May 20th, 2022, the town of Brussels left the nation to create the nation of Belgium. Quickly after that, it was decided to create a Benelux meganation, consisting of existing Netherlands, and the newly made Belgium.

One day later, the nation of Kaiserreich declared war on the nation citing claim-blocking as thier ''casus belli''. Quickly, towns across the Netherlands began expanding quickly to block the approach of newly made Kaiserreich towns that were getting closer.

The nationality of town Saint-Malo started being disputed in early June 2022 by Franco-Germany, who claimed the territory of the Dutch town as thiers, along with towns in the Rhineland and Luxembourg.

On July 8th, 2022, the government was reformed : Ministers are now elected by citizens, and the Prime Minister is chosen by the Koning (King). Elections are held every two months. The four ministers are Infrastructure, Domestic Affairs, Finance, and Foreign Affairs. The first election took place on July 12th, 2022.

On June 26th, 2022, the EMC Protestant church was launched by the Netherlands.

On June 28th, 2022, a colony in the Cape of Good Hope, Orange, was founded by MadGeckos.

== History ==

The town was founded on May 4th, 2022 by StLouis_.

On May 7th, 2022, the town joined the nation of [[Netherlands (Aurora)|Netherlands]], despite being located in France, more exactly Bretagne/Normandy.

Saint-Malo is part of the Breton alliance, with the neighbouring town Breizh, which sets a claim boundary between the two towns, and was established on May 18th, 2022.

Since then, the town kept expanding in claims, and new buildings and roads were made.

Tensions began arising in mid-May 2022 after the expansion of neighbouring town Normandy, as both towns were confilcting about claiming a certain area. On May 26th, 2022, the issue was eventually resolved, and a boundary for claims was set, and rivalry between the two towns ended.

With those new boundaires set, the town was then expanded south-east, forming a second claim 'square', both being linked together by only a few chunks. The town is thus split into 3 suburbs: ''Centre'', ''Nord'' and ''Sud''.

On July 27, 2022, the town was sold for 3.000 to the PLOC alliance. The town was renamed to Aiffres and joined the nation of [[Aquitaine]].

The town was located along the Emerald Coast, part of the English Channel.

It spanned over North-West Ille-et-Vilaine and a large part of Manche (french departments).

Most of the town's original terrain was a flower forest biome, with sparse trees and a high density of flowers and tall grass.

The terrain was also very hilly, which led to terraforming in favor of a mostly flat terrain, in order to build houses and roads more efficiently and also better-looking.

The most iconic building of the town was the two large freeways that span over the town, edge to edge.

They were inspired from real-life freeways, the E401 and E03. The E401 arrives from west to end into the E03; which goes north to south.

Those freeways are connected to a smaller road system through interchanges. The smaller roads then connected houses and other elements of the town.

In the ''Sud'' suburb, the E03 changed from a freeway to an avenue, with intersections cutting through without interchanges.

==== Mont Saint Michel ====

The Mont Saint Michel is a very famous location in real life.

It was originally planned to be built, but conflicted with the no terraforming rule of the server.

== History ==

The town was founded on May 4th, 2022 by StLouis_.

On May 7th, 2022, the town joined the nation of [[Netherlands (Aurora)|Netherlands]], despite being located in France, more exactly Bretagne/Normandy.

Saint-Malo is part of the Breton alliance, with the neighbouring town Breizh, which sets a claim boundary between the two towns, and was established on May 18th, 2022.

Since then, the town kept expanding in claims, and new buildings and roads were made.

Tensions began arising in mid-May 2022 after the expansion of neighbouring town Normandy, as both towns were confilcting about claiming a certain area. On May 26th, 2022, the issue was eventually resolved, and a boundary for claims was set, and rivalry between the two towns ended.

With those new boundaires set, the town was then expanded south-east, forming a second claim 'square', both being linked together by only a few chunks. The town is thus split into 3 suburbs: ''Centre'', ''Nord'' and ''Sud''.

The town is located along the Emerald Coast, part of the English Channel.

It spans over North-West Ille-et-Vilaine and a large part of Manche (french departments).

Most of the town's original terrain was a flower forest biome, with sparse trees and a high density of flowers and tall grass.

The terrain was also very hilly, which led to terraforming in favor of a mostly flat terrain, in order to build houses and roads more efficiently and also better-looking.

The most iconic building of the town is the two large freeways that span over the town, edge to edge.

They are inspired from real-life freeways, the E401 and E03. The E401 arrives from west to end into the E03; which goes north to south.

Those freeways are connected to a smaller road system through interchanges. The smaller roads then connect houses and other elements of the town.

In the ''Sud'' suburb, the E03 changes from a freeway to an avenue, with intersections cutting through without interchanges.

The Mont Saint Michel is a very famous location in real life.

It was originally planned to be built, but conflicted with the no terraforming rule of the server.

Originally, the nation was meant to be called Benelux, but after a vote among the nations' members on May 5th, 2022, the name Netherlands was chosen instead.

On May 7th, 2022, the nation had already created a small shop at its nation spawn, selling various early-game items.

The nation spawn then continuted to improve. A decent blaze exp farm was created, and the shop now sells popular items such as Mending. A free sugar cane farm is also available, and only requires players to AFK for a bit to obtain sugar cane.

On May 20th, 2022, the town of Brussels left the nation to create the nation of Belgium. Quickly after that, it was decided to create a Benelux meganation, consisting of existing Netherlands, and the newly made Belgium.

One day later, the nation of Kaiserreich declared war on the nation citing claim-blocking as thier ''casus belli''. Quickly, towns across the Netherlands began expanding quickly to block the approach of newly made Kaiserreich towns that were getting closer.

The nationality of town Saint-Malo started being disputed in early June 2022 by Franco-Germany, who claimed the territory of the Dutch town as thiers, along with towns in the Rhineland and Luxembourg.

The nation was created on May 6th, 2022, with as capital Amsterdam. The towns of Brussels, The Hague, Den Haag, Antwerp, Flanders, Essen, [[Luxembourg]], Calais, Mainz and Köln then joined the nation on the same day.

Originally, the nation was meant to be called Benelux, but after a vote among the nations' members on May 5th, 2022, the name Netherlands was chosen instead.

On May 7th, 2022, the nation had already created a small shop at its nation spawn, selling various early-game items.

The nation spawn then continuted to improve. A decent blaze exp farm was created, and the shop now sells popular items such as Mending. A free sugar cane farm is also available, and only requires players to AFK for a bit to obtain sugar cane.

On May 20th, 2022, the town of Brussels left the nation to create the nation of Belgium. Quickly after that, it was decided to create a Benelux meganation, consisting of existing Netherlands, and the newly made Belgium.

One day later, the nation of Kaiserreich declared war on the nation citing claim-blocking as thier ''casus belli''. Quickly, towns across the Netherlands began expanding quickly to block the approach of newly made Kaiserreich towns that were getting closer.

The nationality of town Saint-Malo started being disputed in early June 2022 by Franco-Germany, who claimed the territory of the Dutch town as thiers, along with towns in the Rhineland and Luxembourg.

Saint-Malo is part of the Breton alliance, with the neighbouring town Breizh, which sets a claim boundary between the two towns, and was established on May 18th, 2022.

Since then, the town kept expanding in claims, and new buildings and roads were made.

Tensions began arising in mid-May 2022 after the expansion of neighbouring town Normandy, as both towns were confilcting about claiming a certain area. On May 26th, 2022, the issue was eventually resolved, and a boundary for claims was set, and rivalry between the two towns ended.

== History ==

The town was founded on May 7th, 2022 by StLouis_. On May 7th, 2022, the town joined the nation of [[Netherlands (Aurora)|Netherlands]], despite being located in France, more exactly Bretagne/Normandy. Saint-Malo is part of the Breton alliance, with the neighbouring town Breizh, which sets a claim boundary between the two towns, and was established on May 18th, 2022.

The town is located along the Emerald Coast, part of the English Channel. It spans over North-West Ille-et-Vilaine and a large part of Manche (french departments).

Most of the town's original terrain was a flower forest biome, with sparse trees and a high density of flowers and tall grass. The terrain was also very hilly, which led to terraforming in favor of a mostly flat terrain, in order to build houses and roads more efficiently and also better-looking.
