In August 2020, the Winchester Post joins the Associated Press, a joint news source, between [[EarthMC Live]], The New York Times, [[The Blockbuster Insider]], NBC News, and The Winchester Post.

The newspaper has a strong relation with [[Japan]] and even establish their main office in [[Tokyo]] in July 2020. At the same moment, civil war broke out in Japan and the redaction of TWP is divided. Blurryface and Yllalen remains loyal to Japan and its empress while some other members of the redaction such as Lord__Troll supports the [[Date|Date clan]]. In september 2020, Japan is re-united under the control of [[KawadaJP]], leader of the Date clan, and the office of Tokyo is removed and the stuff is token. The Winchester Post then starts a crusade against the new japanese empire and denounces its censorship.

The Constitution is approved by the government and Empress Pastamancer, however blocking the creation of the assembly. New Mexico begins negotiations to purchase the nation of Yugoslavia, despite the opposition of Arathorn and a few government members, instead advocating to expand its sphere of influence in North America. She will however handle the transition of government.

In the end of September, Arathorn supports Cascadian Governor [[ViolentVampire]] and Cascadian Secretary of State [[XBest Name Everx|xBest]] to reorganize New Mexico into a confederation giving Cascadia more autonomy. Pastamancer refuses and evicts Arathorn from her position, violating the new constitution and ultimately leading, on September 29th 2022, to the independence of Cascadia.
