Hi, my name is Gramassis. I began playing EarthMC in the 20th of May of 2023. I believe I first spawned in Siberia, though I'm not sure, as I quickly joined a town. The town I joined was called Hamilton, in Northern Canada. It had about 400 chunks, and was led by Your_Mother_Boom. This town was next to what was the famous Laurentia and Torngat nations. Laurentia, Torngat and Hamilton were basically brother towns at that time.

HAMILTON

Upon first TPing to the town, the mayor led me to a storage house and gave me contruction materials, food, and a plot. I built a terrible house in the plot he gave me, but the mayor still liked me as I was really active. At the time, my goal was to get powerful at that town. I wanted to own important plots and become someone significant. I hardly knew how big the server was, to be honest. Yet, I was really happy at how 'important' I was becoming. I purchased 0g plots all around the town. One of them, I recall, was a public street. After finishing chasing power in the town, I decided I had to explore the world. Being unware TP existed, I made a boat and began sailing towards Africa. This ignited my passion for sailing in EMC. I arrived in the Sahara. There, I made sure to check every ruins. The poor mayor had to repond to every message I sent him, asking how valuable certain blocks I found were. Most of them were worthless.
Finally, the mayor taught me how to TP. TP excited me a lot, as I could reach anywhere I wanted. I believe the first place I TPed was Tanzânia because the mayor said it was one of our allies. After heading to Tanzânia, I went to Mali and was able to buy items for the first time. I bought enchanted Diamond tools and returned to Hamilton. This was my first day in EarthMC.
On the second day, I was really eager to explore the world and find ruins. The first place I went was called Melanesia. Melanesia is a region in Oceania where islands such as Vanuatu, New Caledônia, and Fiji are. On EarthMC, the nation Melanesia was in Vanuatu. Melanesia was the nation I most went, as islands with abandoned towns surrounded it. I spent hours exploring the Solomon Islands and other Vanuatuan islands. Surprisingly, there were really beautiful abandonded towns there, with tons of loot. After that, I TPed to Cuba. I don't remember why. When arriving at Cuba, I met the nation's leader, FulgencioBatista. I started talking to him, asking him why he was named after a dictator. Later, Fulgêncio would be really important on my EarthMC life. At that time, Fulgencio was digging a EXTREMELY big area beneath Cuba's spawn. He said those would be the backrooms. I didn't knew I was talking to one of the most relevant players on EarthMC. Today, I honestly don't know how I even began talking to him, considering it was my second day on EarthMC. Yet, this small talk would be fundamental to the development of a future nation I would acquire. On that day, Fulgencio offered me to become the mayor of multiple Cuban towns with inactive mayors, but I rejected the offers as I really enjoyed Hamilton.
3 days after joining the server, I left Hamilton(planning to return though) so I could join Jamaica to purchase 0g plots in their town. In Jamaica's capital, Kingston, shops were abundant, but the leader(PepperoniNipplez) was extremely innactive. Thats why so many shop plots were for sale. However, I couldn't join the town as it was closed. So, I re-joined Hamilton.
I reached Fiji in my 3rd day in EarthMC. To this day, Suva, the capital of Fiji, remains exactly as it was in the 23rd of May of 2023. Incredibly though, it's still one of my favorite nations . By that time, I was certain I wanted to create my own town, and I knew where: Melanesia. In Fiji, I met with the king, Msierra(which was unfairly banned a month later). I asked him how I could create a town in the area, and he said if I wanted to get information on the area, I had to ask a player named 32Breach. 32Breach was at Suva at the time, but he owned the nation of Melanesia. A player named iRadioo(current owner of Fiji) was holding Melanesia.
In Fiji, I also bought my first, of many, embassies. I bought an embassy right next to the spawn and made my own little shop. The shop sold items I bought from Mali at slightly higher prices. Unfortunately, the embassy was removed one year later after someone seized Fiji.

ERROMANGO

To create a town, I had to find gold. So, I went mining on the ocean next to Hamilton, and, surprisingly found a lot of gold. By the end of my mining trip, I had about all of the gold I needed to create my town. When I finished getting the gold, 32Breach already owned Melanesia, and had renamed it to Vanuatu.
My first town was called Erromango. It was located in Vanuatu, on the in real life island of Erromango, which is right below Port Vila(the capital of Vanuatu). It was really hard for me to leave Hamilton, as Your_Mother_Boom had helped me a lot. But, I understood I had to own my own town to progress in the server. My plan for Erromango was simple: I would create a shopping hub where I would sell embassy shops to other players. However, this plan had a big flaw: my town wasn't a nation, so no one could spawn there. Thankfuly, there was a simple solution to this problem: I would connect my town to Vanuatu's /n spawn through a bridge. I wasn't a good builder, so I hired a guy to build the bridge(I can't remember his name). The builder built an amazing stone brick bridge going from Port Vila to Erromango. To this day, this bridge still stand, mostly intact. I hired this same builder to build a bank building in Erromango.
Erromango hardly had space for residents, so I was forced to terraform the island to give plots for the new residents I was recruiting. The most notable resident I recruited was called AntonyJu(or something like that...).
Throughout my time in Erromango, 32Breach became basically my mentor. He taught me everything, especially mining. 32Breach is arguably the best miner in EarthMC, so, through his teachings, I also became a great miner.
At this same time period, I bought embassies in Kayes and Fresno. The Kayes embassy became extremely important, as when 21eea left EarthMC and gave Kayes to Mali, Mali gave me a plot at their shopping district.
My time in Erromango lasted shortly as a week after joining I discovered the nation of New Caledonia was for sale. Having a nation would be a dream coming true. New Caledonia was one of the islands I had explored in Melanesia, and I liked it a lot. Besides, it was also extremely close to Vanuatu. So, even without gold, I told the owner I would buy the nation.

NEW CALEDONIA

I saw in chat New Caledonia was for sale when mining. At the time I had only 120 raw gold. I told the owner(it was a turkish guy that I cant remember his name) I would buy the nation, and he stayed confused, as I had no gold. But I was confident I could get enough gold on that same day. So, I assured him that I would get the gold in time.
Fortunately, I got extremely lucky on my Antarctica mining trip and was able to get an astonishing 700g on a single mining trip(the mining only lasted about 4 hours). So, on the next day, I bought New Caledonia for 700g. I couldn't find anyone to stay with Erromango, so I gave it to my inactive resident AntonyJu. Erromango would go on to live for at least 4 months, through many different people who sniped the town.
For me, it was a great accomplishment holding a K next to my name in chat. I genuinely couldn't believe I was 'so powerful'. The moment I began owning New Caledonia, I became huge allies with Vanuatu. After all, we were the only active nations in the area, on a time no australians had reached Melanesia. Thankfuly, they would only do that long after I left the nation.
I had dozens of plans for my new nation: create a shopping hub, populate the abandoned islands, become self-sufficient, expand into Australia and Papua New Guinea, have many allies, conquer nations, and claim all of New Caledonia. I accomplished each one of those goals to an extent.
The first thing I made after arriving was learning the current building style. New Caledonia had a unique building style, with tall buildings made of polished diorite and spruce wood roofs. Honestly, I thoughts those were absolutely perfect. They perfectly matched the island vibe. So, I built many of them with the intention of selling shops in New Caledonia.

COMMERCE IN NEW CALEDONIA

After hours and hours of mining in the server, I decided I had enough. I absolutely had to find other sources of revenue, or else I would simply lose interest in the server. Happily, I was extremely into trade and commerce at the time. I loved the idea that I could have my own shop and could produce and re-sell items. So, a week after buying New Caledonia, I set up a Netherite gear shop. The idea was to buy cheap diamond gear and netherite at different locations(mainly Coats and Mali) and then create netherite gear and sell it on my /n spawn. Surprisingly, this idea worked. It made New Caledonia a little more famous, and, finally, people would begin wanting to buy shops at the /n spawn. The first shop I sold was to a guy who dealt with fireworks. He built an extremely organized shop. Unfortunately, the demand for fireworks was really low. After that, I sold a shop to a player named Echo Beast(something like that). The shop wasn't inside a building. Instead, it was on open-air. Echo sold everything, from food to stone. Next, I hired a guy to build a casino. Sadly, he scammed me and built nothing.
Even though New Caledonia was seemingly doing well financially, I knew I had to expand my businesses. Although I was constantly selling netherite gear, the profits were low. This was no surprise for me though, because I knew the only way I could bring New Caledonia into the map was by selling valuable goods at extremely low prices. At this point in time, I was having serious difficulties maintaining the nation and towns(which I'll explain in the next chapter) financially. New Caledonia's bank was always at 20g and profits were quickly spent on the nation. My solution to the problem was creating a mega-shop. I started building shopping buildings all around Northern New Caledonia. The goal was to have each shopping buildings selling a specific set of items. For example, the first shop would sell tools, the second armor, the third farming items, the fourth wood, the fith fish, the sixth EXP, and the seventh ores.
While building the shops, I came to the conclusion that I had to stop relying on other shops to get items. I had to produce my own items. This led me to make my own cactus farm, wheat farm, cow farm, sheep farm, and sugar cane farm beneath New Caledonia's spawn. Unfortunately, I never really got to use them as I would never finish the mega-shop.
While working on my shops around New Caledonia, I began to seriously sell items at my Kayes shop. I also bought a shop at Coats, which became extremely succeful. At the time, Coats was a thriving market. It was the server's netherite hub, and, fortunately, I was able to buy a shop one building away from the main Netherite shop. In this shop, I sold diamonds tools, which I enchanted myself. I began enchanting my own diamond tools in Coats. This diamond tool business would follow me for the remainder of my time in EMC. Coats profits weren't enough to maintain New Caledonia though, forcing me to keep mining.

THE GROWTH OF NEW CALEDONIA

I was well aware that the first step to turn New Caledonia into a relevant nation was to gain towns all around Oceania. I also was aware that practically no one wanted to settle in Oceania, despite its peacefulness and beauty. Oceania(when I mention Oceania, I am not referring to Australia, instead I am referring to Melanesia, Polynesia and Micronesia) was, probably, the most peaceful place in the server. The region where New Caledonia was in, Melanesia, had 4 small and active nations: New Caledonia, Fiji, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands. None of these nations had over 25 residents, though we all tried to help each other and focus on what we liked to do on EarthMC. Polynesia had the Polynesian Union, composed of Tonga, Samoa, Niue, Hawaii, and New Zealand. Micronesia was populated only by the Marshall Islands nation. So, in summary, we were all extremely small nations in peace
Because no one wanted to settle on Melanesia, I was forced to fund towns to new players. This strategy proved surprisingly good, as within a week I populated all of the Loyalty Islands(New Caledonia's satellite islands). The first person I brought to New Caledonia was Alutnarat. He would become a great friend in EMC. Alutnarat, together with his friend Onetimeplaysyt created the town of Lifou(which I funded him). I believe I met Alutnarat by hiring him to destroy a mountain to open up space for shop buildings. Lifou is the in real life name of the island. At EarthMC, someone had already settled at Lifou in the past and built a gorgeous looking wooden boat and wooden hut. That's the main reason Alutnarat settled on the island. The second person I brought was GamerKat. GamerKat settled on a 5 chunks islands where in real life Ouvéa sits. The name of his town was also Ouvéa. The third person I brough was Nitrocloud. Nitrocloud used to be a resident Alutnarat had recruited. When seeing him online for the first time, I asked him if, per chance, he wanted to create his own town on the neighboring islands. He did want to. Nitrocloud created Maré on a island that was a pirate wilderness outpost. I'm not sure if the 'pirates' were still active when Nitrocloud arrived, but their little wooden hut was really cool.
There was one town that was already in New Caledonia when I bought it. It was named Mergopolis. Mergopolis was led by famous EMC streamer IanSpace71, though I didn't knew it at the time. I thought the town was inactive(and it probably was at the time). The first time I saw IanSpace71, I went to announce him the change of leadership in the nation. I offered resources I had(I couldn't offer gold as I was extremely poor), though he declined them. Coincidentally, the time I met him happened to be on the same time he was live streaming. So, I appeared on his live. I remember him saying he saw a man in full netherite approached him, but then discovered the man was as poor as him. Then he said about the change of leadership in the country. Today, Mergopolis is the capital of the Solomon Republic.
The last town to join New Caledonia was in Papua New Guinea. It was called Ulaluya Island I believe. This town proved to me New Caledonia's expansion project was working, as Ulaluya Island joined the town without me needing to contact them. Ulaluya Island was led by two playes, which I forgot their names. The players were decently wealthy(compared the other mayors); they had netherite gear and about 200g.

NEW CALEDONIA'S ICEWAYS

New Caledonia was filled with iceways, even before I arrived. My passion for iceways began in Erromango, as there was an iceway connecting Port Vila to my town. I remember building a shop area where the ice way arrived at Erromango. Anyway, New Caledonia had iceways connecting itself to all of Melanesia, though the iceways were abandoned and poorly managed. To improve and restore the iceways, I created the New Caledonian Ice Way Company. This company would have its own little budget and I would hire some of my few residents to work in it and help restore the ice ways(though I don't think anyone was actually hired). The most important ice way went to Fiji. It arrived right beneath the tallest mountain in Suva.
Ice ways improved New Caledonia's diplomatic relations substantially, as it connected the nation to the Polynesian Union. The main nation in the Polynesian Union, Tonga, was building an ice way aiming to connect Tonga to Australia. I believe the ice way was called the TransPacific Iceway. The Transpacfic Iceway would connect every nation in Polynesia and Micronesia, and then reach a nation in Australia. The project was led by Laggy_Red_Yoshi(now known as _RedYoshi). Laggy_Red_Yoshi would help me a lot in the future.
I volunteered to help dig the iceway until New Caledonia, and Yoshi happily accepted my help. The small and simple help I gave might appear insignificant, however, it would cause New Caledonia to become allies with the Polynesian Union.

ALLIES

New Caledonia wouldn't only forge alliance for the nation itself, though for me also. I would like to highlight how important the alliances created between New Caledonia Cuba, Vanuatu, and Tonga were. These alliance would help me for the remainder of my time in EarthMC.
One major ally I gained, which I didn't mention yet, was Roraima. At the time, the nation Roraima didn't actually exist. Instead, only the town, Boa Vista, existed. Boa Vista was led by DesiredCheese. Throughout my time in the server, DesiredCheese would be one of my major allies. I believe I met him by selling him shopping plots in New Caledonia. DesiredCheese, however, didn't have the money I was asking him for. So, he offered me to give two shopping plots at his town(which he claimed would soon become a capital city) in exchange for the plots in New Caledonia and a small quanity of gold. I gladly accepted the offer and almost immediately started thinking of what I would sell in Boa Vista. But first, DesiredCheese had to get me to his town. We were forced to go walking through the Amazon forest because I couldn't TP there. When we arrived, I received a good-looking, 3 storage green concrete building for free in Boa Vista. In there, I placed dozens of shops selling wood, food, farming stuff, blocks, books, and papers. I believe one week later the nation of Roraima was created. After its creation, I purchase two other shopping plots and started selling enchanted diamond tools.
Tropico, Saint-Domingue is the best town I have ever visited. I remember first spawning on a little market, then going outside of it and seeing dozens of colorful buildings, with trees everywhere. Without thinking, I knew I had to own a plot there. So that's what I did: I bought two plots in Tropico. One, I set up a market, which sold mostly food. The other served as a storage room. To this day, my little market still exists and is still selling items. If interested, check /n spawn Saint-Domingue and visit the building saying 'Market'.
I bought my shops directly from the king, RASPUTIN54. These plots presented me to Rasputin54, who would later become a great ally of mine.

NEW CALEDONIA'S DOWNFALL

My last project in New Caledonia was building a new area of the city resembling Tropico. This area was meant to be a residential area, which foreigners could not enter. I completed half of this area, placing colorful buildings all around it, with a floor with stone blocks, andesite, and polished andesite present all at once. Honestly, it wasn't looking as I expected, but also wasn't that bad. Unfortunately, right after I completed half of the area, I had to step down from EarthMC for personal reasons. I believe I didn't log on the server for 3-4 weeks. This caused my fragile, developing nation to collapse. Without a king, the new and inexperienced mayors lost their path on the server. So, they quit. The capital's residents all 42d and when I returned, I saw myself on a nation who had collapsed. I couldn't take this failure, it was too big for me. I saw all my hard work, all my progress vanish in a blink of an eye. On that moment, I saw no other option then try again at another place. So, I did.
With overclaim being added to the server, the mods enabled mayors to unclaim their chunks and receive 16 gold for it. This caused me to unclaim most of New Caledonia's chunks. From this alone, I profited over 700g. Then, I tried to sell the nation, but wasn't successful. I was kinda of in a hurry at the time, so I made Nitrocloud(which was one of the mayors who had quit) join the server again to hold New Caledonia. Nitrocloud logged back again, and I instructed him to join the capital. He did, and I passed the king's role to him. Until now, I believe this was the absolute WORST decision I have ever made in EarthMC. I voluntarily left the peaceful nation for which I had so many projects behind. But, I understand that I wouldn't acquire the knowledge I currently have had I not left New Caledonia. It still breaks my heart to remember what I have left behind.

After some time, the town of Neverland was created and for a while, it was the three towns. during this time neverland and Cancun expanded while Seaton stayed relatively the same. On October 2024 the town of Bov was created, which was a turning point in Texan Yucatan history. From then on, more towns were created such as Beacontown and NYC. NYC eventually left Texas for Rio_Grande.

Created on the 10th November 2024 by Trump__, it was originally called Trump_Town and was in the nation California. Bought by Texas later on for 200g, it was renamed to Big_Field and the new owner became ProjectX7D.

When Terra Aurora first opened many Cubans got in queue and got online, however the server crashed causing some Cubans to be kicked and sent back in queue, including SuperiorGIitch. Despite this, Knifery, with the support of several other Cubans made Havana. On Tuesday, the week of the server opening, SuperiorGIitch, with the help of Cuban bonds and donations, made the nation of Cuba.

===First Conflict===
Before the opening of TA, a group was discovered trying to make the Golden Circle (in the gulf coast). After must persuasion from other leaders, Cuba was able to deter them. Or so they thought. Half of their group ended up leaving but the other half ended up making Caribbean. However the conflict was short lived and they realized they had some similarities and no reason to dislike each other besides the border despute. In the end, both nations merged into the West Indies. They never merge governments.

===Major Conflict===
As a result of Yucatan scamming people, and ZRD of Yucatan calling Cuba a scam nation, SuperiorGIitch kicked Cancun. They became a rebel group and joined the nation of America. This would be one of several catalysts to spark a major regional war. Weeks later, the war began with Louisiana declaring war thirty minutes after SuperiorGIitch said "louisiana has been on average losing 3 towns a week", "a nation in decline" in EMC global chat. After that America including Yucatan declared war in support of Louisiana. After that Gran Colombia declared war over the false notion that Cuba had violated the Treaty of Swan Islands. After that the CSA voted to declare war on Cuba too. Other nations including India and Indochina declared war too. Despite the numbers, Cuba saw great success.

Jartavious and BamBamTheEggman fled [[The Republic of the Rio Grande|Rio Grande]] to Cuba to escape Rio Grande's persecution of Jahists, a religious group following Jah_The_Lord. The island of Cuba was recently vacated as the previous Cuban nation had fell a few months prior. Eventually, BamBam sold Cuba to that0neweirdo, demolished all buildings in Havana, and left for the [[The United States|United States]] where he promptly got banned.

That0neweirdo had an uneventful reign, slowly building and expanding Cuba. In the end, that0neweirdo's reign was ended like BamBam's, with a ban. Ownership of Cuba was briefly transfered to mrg00se, who then was scammed by lunlun for 300g.

Upon gaining control of Cuba, it soon became a colony of Niger (where lunlun had originally been from). Lun primarily used Cuba as a base to commit various terrorist acts, as opportunities for actual expansion were limited. Notably lunlun made the first discord server for Cuba and posted links to it in his personal discord. Though lunlun himself was never banned, he did sell off Cuba once his friend Unbated was unbanned.

Ju2 funded and led a series of attempts to acquire land from neighbouring West Caribbea. In that time, a player known as FishyCalls joined Cuba from the discord invite link that lunlun sent on his personal discord. Cuba under Ju2 gained independence from Germany, and promptly lost it again in a war against West Caribbea and Germany. After losing a second war and gaining independence from Germany, Ju2 handed Cuba over to FishyCalls who eventually sold the nation to Antlex.

Since the rise of Antlex, Cuba has gone through massive development, later aided by the Prime Ministers, which as the time of writing makes it the 10th largest nation in EMC.

===Brief History===

====Early Days and Creation====
Nueva Gerona was created December 17th, 2019 on Isla de la Juventud. By Feburuary 5th, 2020, Antlex made the nation of West Caribbea. After claiming the rather small island, Antlex began to claim up north on mainland Cuba. Around this time, Del Ross was created, initially named Vytsky City. The name referring to the mayor's old town on their banned account called Vyatskyburg. Vytsky City joined West Caribbea. At this time Cuba was a separate nation and owned by FishyCalls. Sometime in April the town of Del Ross seceded leading to the worst war in Cuba's history. Three major griefs were made on Antlex' town and nation, but by the third grief, the Del Ross gang was IP-banned. In late May, Del Ross finally fell, and Antlex claimed the rest of west Cuba.

====True Cuba ====
MarxTheFox, a former Prime Minister of Cuba, owned the town of PP, in modern day Santa Clara. He planned on creating a nation but it never came to fruition. Leon4Realz7, owned the nation of Pilon, in modern day Bayamo. At this time West Caribbea only claimed western Cuba, some islands including Inagua Island, and significant land in Central America. FishyCalls, the owner of Cuba, encouraged diplomacy helping create formal borders for these nations. The nation of Cuba bordered West Caribbea, and PP claimed land stretching from Cuba to the Ice Road that goes to Bayamo. Pilon claimed the rest of Southern Cuba except for land that was given to Haiti. Antlex bought the nation of Cuba, renaming West Caribbea to Cuba, and his town from Nueva Gerona to Havana. The original Havana was renamed to East Havana and given to Antlex' friend, _Tikki. Eventually PP collapsed and Cuba claimed the entire region that PP claimed. Similarly Pilon collapsed and Haiti claimed the region that Pilon claimed. This left Cuba and Haiti bordering each other on the Bayamo ice road.

====Control of the entire Caribbean====
After much thought Haiti, and East Caribbea merged with Cuba creating a dual emperor nation between Antlex and Benny. Puschel, the Haitian Prime Minister was now the 2nd Cuban Prince, after Tikki. After this Cuba bought New Granada from Poland and gave it to Scrabs. Later Cuba negotiated with Venezuela to claim a massive region in north South America. Cuba owned much of Central America before the merge, but after the merge, the size and power of Cuba cemented its ownership of Central America.

====Florida====
32Fruit bought Everglades before the Merge, and continuously expanded it, and renamed it to Miami. Later after the merge, the massive town, and now a nation, joined Cuba as a province. Giving Cuba increasing control of Florida. Eventually a war broke out between Cuba and Orlando, Cuba won the war and successfully bought Orlando from Louisiana. During this time a prominent but controversial figure in Cuba, called Cyber, got scammed for Orlando, and quit EMC.

A common strategy that has had mild controversy which was used in the first third and sixth election, is for the less popular of the two losing candidates to drop out and leave a custom message endorsing the second place candidate in #prime-minister-voting. Doing so usually resulted in the candidate who dropped out becoming the deputy prime minister of the candidate they endorsed. Often times it caused the endorsed candidate to take first and win the election. Sometime between the 7th and 8th administration, Antlex wrote a new rule that candidates can only drop out before voting begins, thus resolving this controversy.

====Election 6====
The sixth Cuban election was for sure the most controversial election due to it being an extremely close election. Initially Puschel took the lead, with Superior not far behind. Eighteen hours into the election Marx drops out due to very low voter count and endorses Puschel. His voters never voted again in this election. Puschel takes back the lead on the morning of the day the election ends, but hours before the election ended Superior took lead. With a two point lead and three minutes until voting ends, Superior was feeling confident, until that is, his Deputy Prime Minister, voted for Puschel, placing the election at a tie. Rollin's explained "I wanna see what happens in a tie", Superior responded with "no no its a coin flip" and "please rollins dont do this". Rollins expressed doubt to the claim if the election came to a tie it would come down to a coin flip. Understandably Superior was upset that his two days of campaigning had gone to waste because his Deputy Prime Minister "backstabbed" him.<blockquote>In all honesty I am really upset with your actions I was really excited to serve another term with you</blockquote>- Superior to Rollins, seven minutes after the election ending

Afterwards it began to be decided what should be done. Nobody felt happy with the idea the election would be decided with a coin flip or wheel spin, so several solutions were proposed:

*The senate or judge votes for the next prime minister
*Have a revote occur
*Extend voting
*Chess game or PVP

Puschel advocated for a revote while Superior advocated for extending voting for a day, this is for obvious reasons. Assuming Rollins corrected his impulsive choice, a revote would level the playing field while extending voting wouldn't. Superior argued a revote would annoy voters, because it would require many more pings, as well as, the proposed voting would last for twenty four hours, which due to the time it would start and end at would place Superior, and American (the continent not country) voters would be placed at a disadvantage with less voting time. In the end a voting extension occurred, and Superior pulled ahead garnering a two vote lead before voting ended. Puschel accidently gave Citizen role to an old player who voted for Superior
==Post-Antlex History [WIP]==
Friday, the 21st of May, 2021, Antlex resigned from Emperor, and quit EMC. This came after several months of a lot of inactivity from Antlex, roughly beginning in Feburary.

====Meritocracy ====
Following antlex' resignation, the Cuba government abandoned democracy. The voters were inactive players who could not vote with the full context of EMC's complexities. The Cuban government switched to a meritocracy, whereby one can advance their position by SET: Skill, Experience, Trust.

[[Superiorglitch|SuperiorGIitch]] resigned from advisor position on June 23rd, 2021, due to controversies in Foreign Affairs. Mostly due to SuperiorGIitch having leaked a conversation between him and Cencius in which Cencius calls him 3 slurs after Superior asked for proof regarding a border claim. Superior was promoted back to Royal Advisor some time after rejoining the Cuban discord. SuperiorGIitch resigned again from royal advisor position on November 17th, 2021, due to extreme toxicity and xenophobia.
====Pruning====
Under new rule, things began to change. Emperor Benny, with no land left to claim in Hispaniola made the idea to buy Guantamano and claim southern Cuba. This set the new precedence that towns could be bought and merged allowing for new borders unlike under Antlex. Superior later got permission from Benny to purchase Baracoa, nearly doubling the size of his town.

====New Bayamo====
While Superior claimed his new territory in accordance with his border agreement with Benny, Benny was a bit slow. This allowed Argues to make the town of Bayamo in Benny's claims. We saw it happen and immediately tried to negotiate. We offered to pay for his relocation. Then he said had to go, while he was 'gone' he claimed over 3 dozen chunks escalating the problem massively. Superior then claimed the rest of the area that Benny had failed to claim only as a temporary measure so that Argues could claim no more.

Jartavious and BamBamTheEggman fled [[The Republic of the Rio Grande|Rio Grande]] to Cuba to escape Rio Grande's persecution of Jahists, a religious group following Jah_The_Lord. The island of Cuba was recently vacated as the previous Cuban nation had fell a few months prior. Eventually, BamBam sold Cuba to that0neweirdo, demolished all buildings in Havana, and left for the [[The United States|United States]] where he promptly got banned.

That0neweirdo had an uneventful reign, slowly building and expanding Cuba. In the end, that0neweirdo's reign was ended like BamBam's, with a ban. Ownership of Cuba was briefly transfered to mrg00se, who then was scammed by lunlun for 300g.

Upon gaining control of Cuba, it soon became a colony of Niger (where lunlun had originally been from). Lun primarily used Cuba as a base to commit various terrorist acts, as opportunities for actual expansion were limited. Notably lunlun made the first discord server for Cuba and posted links to it in his personal discord. Though lunlun himself was never banned, he did sell off Cuba once his friend Unbated was unbanned.

Ju2 funded and led a series of attempts to acquire land from neighbouring West Caribbea. In that time, a player known as FishyCalls joined Cuba from the discord invite link that lunlun sent on his personal discord. Cuba under Ju2 gained independence from Germany, and promptly lost it again in a war against West Caribbea and Germany. After losing a second war and gaining independence from Germany, Ju2 handed Cuba over to FishyCalls who eventually sold the nation to Antlex.

Since the rise of Antlex, Cuba has gone through massive development, later aided by the Prime Ministers, which as the time of writing makes it the 10th largest nation in EMC.

===Brief History===

====Early Days and Creation====
Nueva Gerona was created December 17th, 2019 on Isla de la Juventud. By Feburuary 5th, 2020, Antlex made the nation of West Caribbea. After claiming the rather small island, Antlex began to claim up north on mainland Cuba. Around this time, Del Ross was created, initially named Vytsky City. The name referring to the mayor's old town on their banned account called Vyatskyburg. Vytsky City joined West Caribbea. At this time Cuba was a separate nation and owned by FishyCalls. Sometime in April the town of Del Ross seceded leading to the worst war in Cuba's history. Three major griefs were made on Antlex' town and nation, but by the third grief, the Del Ross gang was IP-banned. In late May, Del Ross finally fell, and Antlex claimed the rest of west Cuba.

====True Cuba ====
MarxTheFox, a former Prime Minister of Cuba, owned the town of PP, in modern day Santa Clara. He planned on creating a nation but it never came to fruition. Leon4Realz7, owned the nation of Pilon, in modern day Bayamo. At this time West Caribbea only claimed western Cuba, some islands including Inagua Island, and significant land in Central America. FishyCalls, the owner of Cuba, encouraged diplomacy helping create formal borders for these nations. The nation of Cuba bordered West Caribbea, and PP claimed land stretching from Cuba to the Ice Road that goes to Bayamo. Pilon claimed the rest of Southern Cuba except for land that was given to Haiti. Antlex bought the nation of Cuba, renaming West Caribbea to Cuba, and his town from Nueva Gerona to Havana. The original Havana was renamed to East Havana and given to Antlex' friend, _Tikki. Eventually PP collapsed and Cuba claimed the entire region that PP claimed. Similarly Pilon collapsed and Haiti claimed the region that Pilon claimed. This left Cuba and Haiti bordering each other on the Bayamo ice road.

====Control of the entire Caribbean====
After much thought Haiti, and East Caribbea merged with Cuba creating a dual emperor nation between Antlex and Benny. Puschel, the Haitian Prime Minister was now the 2nd Cuban Prince, after Tikki. After this Cuba bought New Granada from Poland and gave it to Scrabs. Later Cuba negotiated with Venezuela to claim a massive region in north South America. Cuba owned much of Central America before the merge, but after the merge, the size and power of Cuba cemented its ownership of Central America.

====Florida====
32Fruit bought Everglades before the Merge, and continuously expanded it, and renamed it to Miami. Later after the merge, the massive town, and now a nation, joined Cuba as a province. Giving Cuba increasing control of Florida. Eventually a war broke out between Cuba and Orlando, Cuba won the war and successfully bought Orlando from Louisiana. During this time a prominent but controversial figure in Cuba, called Cyber, got scammed for Orlando, and quit EMC.

A common strategy that has had mild controversy which was used in the first third and sixth election, is for the less popular of the two losing candidates to drop out and leave a custom message endorsing the second place candidate in #prime-minister-voting. Doing so usually resulted in the candidate who dropped out becoming the deputy prime minister of the candidate they endorsed. Often times it caused the endorsed candidate to take first and win the election. Sometime between the 7th and 8th administration, Antlex wrote a new rule that candidates can only drop out before voting begins, thus resolving this controversy.

Those endorsement messages include, in order of oldest to newest, are:<blockquote>If you voted for me. I highly encourage you to vote for narancia. ====Election 6====
The sixth Cuban election was for sure the most controversial election due to it being an extremely close election. Initially Puschel took the lead, with Superior not far behind. Eighteen hours into the election Marx drops out due to very low voter count and endorses Puschel. His voters never voted again in this election. Puschel takes back the lead on the morning of the day the election ends, but hours before the election ended Superior took lead. With a two point lead and three minutes until voting ends, Superior was feeling confident, until that is, his Deputy Prime Minister, voted for Puschel, placing the election at a tie. Rollin's explained "I wanna see what happens in a tie", Superior responded with "no no its a coin flip" and "please rollins dont do this". Rollins expressed doubt to the claim if the election came to a tie it would come down to a coin flip. Understandably Superior was upset that his two days of campaigning had gone to waste because his Deputy Prime Minister "backstabbed" him.<blockquote>In all honesty I am really upset with your actions I was really excited to serve another term with you</blockquote>- Superior to Rollins, seven minutes after the election ending

Afterwards it began to be decided what should be done. Nobody felt happy with the idea the election would be decided with a coin flip or wheel spin, so several solutions were proposed:

*The senate or judge votes for the next prime minister
*Have a revote occur
*Extend voting
*Chess game or PVP

Puschel advocated for a revote while Superior advocated for extending voting for a day, this is for obvious reasons. Assuming Rollins corrected his impulsive choice, a revote would level the playing field while extending voting wouldn't. Superior argued a revote would annoy voters, because it would require many more pings, as well as, the proposed voting would last for twenty four hours, which due to the time it would start and end at would place Superior, and American (the continent not country) voters would be placed at a disadvantage with less voting time. In the end a voting extension occurred, and Superior pulled ahead garnering a two vote lead before voting ended. Puschel accidently gave Citizen role to an old player who voted for Superior
==Post-Antlex History [WIP]==
Friday, the 21st of May, 2021, Antlex resigned from Emperor, and quit EMC. This came after several months of a lot of inactivity from Antlex, roughly beginning in Feburary.

====Meritocracy ====
Following antlex' resignation, the Cuba government abandoned democracy. The voters were inactive players who could not vote with the full context of EMC's complexities. The Cuban government switched to a meritocracy, whereby one can advance their position by SET: Skill, Experience, Trust.

[[Superiorglitch|SuperiorGIitch]] resigned from advisor position on June 23rd, 2021, due to controversies in Foreign Affairs. Mostly due to SuperiorGIitch having leaked a conversation between him and Cencius in which Cencius calls him 3 slurs after Superior asked for proof regarding a border claim. Superior was promoted back to Royal Advisor some time after rejoining the Cuban discord. SuperiorGIitch resigned again from royal advisor position on November 17th, 2021, due to extreme toxicity and xenophobia.
====Pruning====
Under new rule, things began to change. Emperor Benny, with no land left to claim in Hispaniola made the idea to buy Guantamano and claim southern Cuba. This set the new precedence that towns could be bought and merged allowing for new borders unlike under Antlex. Superior later got permission from Benny to purchase Baracoa, nearly doubling the size of his town.

====New Bayamo====
While Superior claimed his new territory in accordance with his border agreement with Benny, Benny was a bit slow. This allowed Argues to make the town of Bayamo in Benny's claims. We saw it happen and immediately tried to negotiate. We offered to pay for his relocation. Then he said had to go, while he was 'gone' he claimed over 3 dozen chunks escalating the problem massively. Superior then claimed the rest of the area that Benny had failed to claim only as a temporary measure so that Argues could claim no more.

When Terra Aurora first opened many Cubans got in queue and got online, however the server crashed causing some Cubans to be kicked and sent back in queue, including SuperiorGIitch. Despite this, Knifery, with the support of several other Cubans made Havana. On Tuesday, the week of the server opening, SuperiorGIitch, with the help of Cuban bonds and donations, made the nation of Cuba.

===First Conflict===
Before the opening of TA, a group was discovered trying to make the Golden Circle (in the gulf coast). After must persuasion from other leaders, Cuba was able to deter them. Or so they thought. Half of their group ended up leaving but the other half ended up making Caribbean. However the conflict was short lived and they realized they had some similarities and no reason to dislike each other besides the border despute. In the end, both nations merged into the West Indies. They never merge governments.

===Major Conflict===
As a result of Yucatan scamming people, and ZRD of Yucatan calling Cuba a scam nation, SuperiorGIitch kicked Cancun. They became a rebel group and joined the nation of America. This would be one of several catalysts to spark a major regional war. Weeks later, the war began with Louisiana declaring war thirty minutes after SuperiorGIitch said "louisiana has been on average losing 3 towns a week", "a nation in decline" in EMC global chat. After that America including Yucatan declared war in support of Louisiana. After that Gran Colombia declared war over the false notion that Cuba had violated the Treaty of Swan Islands. After that the CSA voted to declare war on Cuba too. Other nations including India and Indochina declared war too. Despite the numbers, Cuba saw great success.

Sometime in April the town of Del Ross seceded leading to the worst war in Cuba's history. Three major griefs were made on Antlex' town and nation, but by the third grief, the Del Ross gang was IP-banned. In late May, Del Ross finally fell, and Antlex claimed the rest of west Cuba.

FishyCalls, the owner of Cuba, encouraged diplomacy helping create formal borders for these nations. A common strategy that has had mild controversy which was used in the first third and sixth election, is for the less popular of the two losing candidates to drop out and leave a custom message endorsing the second place candidate in #prime-minister-voting. Doing so usually resulted in the candidate who dropped out becoming the deputy prime minister of the candidate they endorsed. Often times it caused the endorsed candidate to take first and win the election. Sometime between the 7th and 8th administration, Antlex wrote a new rule that candidates can only drop out before voting begins, thus resolving this controversy.

====Election 6====
The sixth Cuban election was for sure the most controversial election due to it being an extremely close election. Initially Puschel took the lead, with Superior not far behind. Eighteen hours into the election Marx drops out due to very low voter count and endorses Puschel. His voters never voted again in this election. Puschel takes back the lead on the morning of the day the election ends, but hours before the election ended Superior took lead. With a two point lead and three minutes until voting ends, Superior was feeling confident, until that is, his Deputy Prime Minister, voted for Puschel, placing the election at a tie. Rollin's explained "I wanna see what happens in a tie", Superior responded with "no no its a coin flip" and "please rollins dont do this". Rollins expressed doubt to the claim if the election came to a tie it would come down to a coin flip. Understandably Superior was upset that his two days of campaigning had gone to waste because his Deputy Prime Minister "backstabbed" him.<blockquote>In all honesty I am really upset with your actions I was really excited to serve another term with you</blockquote>- Superior to Rollins, seven minutes after the election ending

Afterwards it began to be decided what should be done. Nobody felt happy with the idea the election would be decided with a coin flip or wheel spin, so several solutions were proposed:

*The senate or judge votes for the next prime minister
*Have a revote occur
*Extend voting
*Chess game or PVP

Puschel advocated for a revote while Superior advocated for extending voting for a day, this is for obvious reasons. Assuming Rollins corrected his impulsive choice, a revote would level the playing field while extending voting wouldn't. Superior argued a revote would annoy voters, because it would require many more pings, as well as, the proposed voting would last for twenty four hours, which due to the time it would start and end at would place Superior, and American (the continent not country) voters would be placed at a disadvantage with less voting time. In the end a voting extension occurred, and Superior pulled ahead garnering a two vote lead before voting ended. Puschel accidently gave Citizen role to an old player who voted for Superior
==Post-Antlex History [WIP]==
Friday, the 21st of May, 2021, Antlex resigned from Emperor, and quit EMC. This came after several months of a lot of inactivity from Antlex, roughly beginning in Feburary.

====Meritocracy ====
Following antlex' resignation, the Cuba government abandoned democracy. The voters were inactive players who could not vote with the full context of EMC's complexities. The Cuban government switched to a meritocracy, whereby one can advance their position by SET: Skill, Experience, Trust.

Mostly due to SuperiorGIitch having leaked a conversation between him and Cencius in which Cencius calls him 3 slurs after Superior asked for proof regarding a border claim. Superior was promoted back to Royal Advisor some time after rejoining the Cuban discord. SuperiorGIitch resigned again from royal advisor position on November 17th, 2021, due to extreme toxicity and xenophobia.

Under new rule, things began to change. Emperor Benny, with no land left to claim in Hispaniola made the idea to buy Guantamano and claim southern Cuba. This set the new precedence that towns could be bought and merged allowing for new borders unlike under Antlex. Superior later got permission from Benny to purchase Baracoa, nearly doubling the size of his town.

====New Bayamo====
While Superior claimed his new territory in accordance with his border agreement with Benny, Benny was a bit slow. This allowed Argues to make the town of Bayamo in Benny's claims. We saw it happen and immediately tried to negotiate. We offered to pay for his relocation. Then he said had to go, while he was 'gone' he claimed over 3 dozen chunks escalating the problem massively. Superior then claimed the rest of the area that Benny had failed to claim only as a temporary measure so that Argues could claim no more.

On Tuesday, the week of the server opening, SuperiorGIitch, with the help of Cuban bonds and donations, made the nation of Cuba.

Before the opening of TA, a group was discovered trying to make the Golden Circle (in the gulf coast). After must persuasion from other leaders, Cuba was able to deter them. Or so they thought. Half of their group ended up leaving but the other half ended up making Caribbean. However the conflict was short lived and they realized they had some similarities and no reason to dislike each other besides the border despute. In the end, both nations merged into the West Indies. They never merge governments.

As a result of Yucatan scamming people, and ZRD of Yucatan calling Cuba a scam nation, SuperiorGIitch kicked Cancun. They became a rebel group and joined the nation of America. This would be one of several catalysts to spark a major regional war. Weeks later, the war began with Louisiana declaring war thirty minutes after SuperiorGIitch said "louisiana has been on average losing 3 towns a week", "a nation in decline" in EMC global chat. After that America including Yucatan declared war in support of Louisiana. After that Gran Colombia declared war over the false notion that Cuba had violated the Treaty of Swan Islands. After that the CSA voted to declare war on Cuba too. Other nations including India and Indochina declared war too. Despite the numbers, Cuba saw great success.

===Election Controversies===
A common strategy that has had mild controversy which was used in the first third and sixth election, is for the less popular of the two losing candidates to drop out and leave a custom message endorsing the second place candidate in #prime-minister-voting. Doing so usually resulted in the candidate who dropped out becoming the deputy prime minister of the candidate they endorsed. Often times it caused the endorsed candidate to take first and win the election. Sometime between the 7th and 8th administration, Antlex wrote a new rule that candidates can only drop out before voting begins, thus resolving this controversy.

Those endorsement messages include, in order of oldest to newest, are:<blockquote>If you voted for me. I highly encourage you to vote for narancia. Narancia is very competent and I will be his dept PM. ====Election 6====
The sixth Cuban election was for sure the most controversial election due to it being an extremely close election. Initially Puschel took the lead, with Superior not far behind. Eighteen hours into the election Marx drops out due to very low voter count and endorses Puschel. His voters never voted again in this election. Puschel takes back the lead on the morning of the day the election ends, but hours before the election ended Superior took lead. With a two point lead and three minutes until voting ends, Superior was feeling confident, until that is, his Deputy Prime Minister, voted for Puschel, placing the election at a tie. Rollin's explained "I wanna see what happens in a tie", Superior responded with "no no its a coin flip" and "please rollins dont do this". Rollins expressed doubt to the claim if the election came to a tie it would come down to a coin flip. Understandably Superior was upset that his two days of campaigning had gone to waste because his Deputy Prime Minister "backstabbed" him.<blockquote>In all honesty I am really upset with your actions I was really excited to serve another term with you</blockquote>- Superior to Rollins, seven minutes after the election ending

Afterwards it began to be decided what should be done. Nobody felt happy with the idea the election would be decided with a coin flip or wheel spin, so several solutions were proposed:

*The senate or judge votes for the next prime minister
*Have a revote occur
*Extend voting
*Chess game or PVP

Puschel advocated for a revote while Superior advocated for extending voting for a day, this is for obvious reasons. Assuming Rollins corrected his impulsive choice, a revote would level the playing field while extending voting wouldn't. Superior argued a revote would annoy voters, because it would require many more pings, as well as, the proposed voting would last for twenty four hours, which due to the time it would start and end at would place Superior, and American (the continent not country) voters would be placed at a disadvantage with less voting time. In the end a voting extension occurred, and Superior pulled ahead garnering a two vote lead before voting ended. Puschel accidently gave Citizen role to an old player who voted for Superior
==Post-Antlex History [WIP]==
Friday, the 21st of May, 2021, Antlex resigned from Emperor, and quit EMC. This came after several months of a lot of inactivity from Antlex, roughly beginning in Feburary.

====Meritocracy ====
Following antlex' resignation, the Cuba government abandoned democracy. The voters were inactive players who could not vote with the full context of EMC's complexities. The Cuban government switched to a meritocracy, whereby one can advance their position by SET: Skill, Experience, Trust.

[[Superiorglitch|SuperiorGIitch]] resigned from advisor position on June 23rd, 2021, due to controversies in Foreign Affairs. Mostly due to SuperiorGIitch having leaked a conversation between him and Cencius in which Cencius calls him 3 slurs after Superior asked for proof regarding a border claim. Superior was promoted back to Royal Advisor some time after rejoining the Cuban discord. SuperiorGIitch resigned again from royal advisor position on November 17th, 2021, due to extreme toxicity and xenophobia.
====Pruning====
Under new rule, things began to change. Emperor Benny, with no land left to claim in Hispaniola made the idea to buy Guantamano and claim southern Cuba. This set the new precedence that towns could be bought and merged allowing for new borders unlike under Antlex. Superior later got permission from Benny to purchase Baracoa, nearly doubling the size of his town.

====New Bayamo====
While Superior claimed his new territory in accordance with his border agreement with Benny, Benny was a bit slow. This allowed Argues to make the town of Bayamo in Benny's claims. We saw it happen and immediately tried to negotiate. We offered to pay for his relocation. Then he said had to go, while he was 'gone' he claimed over 3 dozen chunks escalating the problem massively. Superior then claimed the rest of the area that Benny had failed to claim only as a temporary measure so that Argues could claim no more.

Gramassis acquired the nation of Lesser Antilles and renamed it Cuba on 5th of August 2024. As time stands Gramassis is still the leader.
