Creating and serving as the mayor of the towns of Oceanside and Ephrata in Cascadia, he participated and continues to be active in the affairs of Cascadia throughout much of his time on EMC. Previously serving in positions of power, he was elected to the [[Legislature of Cascadia|House of Representatives]] in December 2022, and later served as Secretary of Recruitment under presidents TylenolEC and [[EstiQT]]. He currently represents the Metropolitan constituency in the Legislature, and also serves as the 16th [[Seattle (Aurora)|Mayor of Seattle]].

He was elected president in February of 2023 and served two terms as President, overseeing the start of the Rocky Mountain rebellion and war and the slowing of Cascadia's territorial expansion. Following his presidency he was appointed Secretary of State by president AghastBlock, and proceeded to serve in that role for nearly a year and a half until retiring and being appointed to the office of Attorney General. He later served as Speaker of the House for three terms before being defeated by ShadowCipher in January 2025 for the position. A long-time cascadian bureaucrat, he has played a formative role in the history of modern Cascadia and Cascadian Liberalism.

== Towns ==
He began in the nation of Texas after being invited to the town of Houston. After attempting to create the town of Lake Jackson, south of Houston on the Texas coast, he was forced to flee from Texas after his town was claimed by the town of Houston. Moving to the Pacific Northwest, he chose to settle on the Oregon Coast, forming the town of Oceanside on August 4th, 2023. Expanding quickly, he joined the nation of Oregon. Quickly becoming the largest town in the nation, Oceanside left to join the nation of Cascadia during the 6 Hour War between Cascadia and Oregon, taking much of the population and beginning the Collapse of the Oregon Empire.

Oceanside grew to occupy much of the Oregon coast, becoming the largest town in terms of population in the Pacific Northwest and the largest in Cascadia. After multiple months of development, it was sold to Small_Cat and ReaLIMPOPO for 1000 gold. Milgorn and Paradox_1080, a close town councilor of his, moved to create a new town in Eastern Washington as part of a region known as the Tri-Cities. Ephrata was created on January 9th, 2023, along with the towns of Columbia Valley by Moxies_hoe and Pasco by cowilo. After a few months of development, it's population has swelled to be the largest town in Cascadia. After multiple months of development, Milgorn123 began an active recruitment effort across Cascadia where he recruited over 60 players to the towns of Olympia and Oceanside, including notable members such as Seivicxx, KrackKocaine, BinomialMink, EnglishApache, and more. After this, he gained control of the town of [[Seattle]], and helped organize and complete Project Seattle, in which the metropolitan city was built and completed. He recruited multiple members into the city, in which he currently resides and leads.

== Politics ==
Milgorn123 began his political career in Oregon, where he was a minor member of the National Council. He chose to leave Oregon after the 6 Hour War between Cascadia and Oregon. He faced backlash from the members of the Oregon Empire, but quickly acclimated to Cascadia. One month after joining, he ran for election to the Cascadian House of Representatives in the November 2022, losing to other candidates. However, he successfully won a seat in the House of Representatives for the next three terms. In February, 2023, he announced his candidacy for presidency. After a campaign against Akeboun, the main opposition, he won the presidency. His presidency began with an embargo by multiple nations, lead by the nation of Sonora, which was soon resolved with the passage of the Grand Canyon Protection Act. Later, the Milgorn Administration would face a rebellion under the name of the Rocky Mountains, which was resolved with the signing of the Treaty of Banff. Other notable events include the creation of the Organization of Free Nations, a democratic alliance between Cascadia and multiple other nations.

Milgorn won re-election in March as well. During his term, Cascadia began a months-long defensive war against the Rocky Mountains, but also experienced growth as opposed to the reduction in population it had seen previousy. Milgorn chose not to run for a third term, which [[AghastBlock]] won. He continues to serve as Secretary of State under the [[AghastBlock]] Presidency, [[Setrus]] Presidency, [[WrestlingWithGod]] Presidency, and [[Bachinuni]] Presidency, in which he created over eight separate alliances with nations such as Alaska, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Armenia, British Columbia, and Laurentia.

== Background ==
About a year after the opening of EarthMC Terra Aurora, the Republic of Cascadia largely maintained hegemony over the western seaboard of North America, excluding territories in the real-life area of California. However, when the nation of Jefferson would be unofficially annexed and absorbed into the Republic of Cascadia, the democratic nation would surround a small city-state named San Francisco (Norcal), lead by notable player Unbated. Unbated had previously been a part of the Sequoia Federation, a mega nation between the in-game nations of Jefferson, Great Basin, Southern California, and Norcal. Many players within this meganation, including Rocksthunder (leader of Jefferson), Moxicodone (leader of Great Basin), and other towns in California had various disagreements with Unbated over infrastucture, political leadership, and more in the region. While the Sequoia Federation collapsed following the introduction of overclaim (all nations except for Jefferson and Norcal would be disbanded and absorbed into Jefferson), these schisms continued with those same players, who eventually all joined the Republic of Cascadia.
Norcal would join the Reformed Republic of Cascadia (Oregon) in a large scale global war against Cascadia, as part of the "Wagner Group" (a global coalition). The Wagner Group would, shortly after, collapse into inactivity, but Norcal would attempt to harm Cascadia by creating towns in the California/Nevada regions. Regardless of the group's collapse, Norcal continued their one-man war against Cascadia. However, when the town of San Francisco (capital and largest town of Norcal) was overclaimed by neighboring towns, including chunks next to the nation spawn of the region, Unbated would quit the server and transfer mayorship to NFISH. He would go on to create a diplomatic channel in the Cascadian discord, and then joined the North Sea Republic. Prior to then, Cascadia along with other nations in America had been weary of the NSR's influence over North America. Meanwhile, the NSR viewed themselves as a North American nation, just as Cascadia did.
Initial negotiations with Norcal would fail, after both sides failed to agree to terms to end the war (which had not officially ended). About two months later, a new channel would be created in the discord of the Republic of [[Vermont]], with NSR diplomats also involved. At the time, President Raptormm4 (from the town of Yellowstone, a notable national park in the Frontier region of Cascadia) would lead negotiations, with Secretary of State [[Milgorn123]] among about a dozen other Cascadian diplomats. Both nations disagreed strongly over various parts terms of a future treaty.

== The Incident ==
During negotiations, both sides were debating what would be considered "Cascadian core territory" (territory that the NSR would not be able to infringe upon). Cascadia viewed it's territories in the Frontier, California, and Great North (Western Canada) regions as part of it's core territory, while the NSR had a smaller frame in mind. In particular, President Raptormm4's town (Yellowstone) wasn't included in the NSR's proposed map, which he viewed as a grave insult. Raptormm4 would later submit a paragraph where he questioned why a government based in "fucking Ireland" (the North Sea Republic's capital was located in Ireland) was permitted to "order around" Cascadia's territorial claims.
The North Sea Republic diplomats took great insult to this reference, threatening to entirely depart negotiations. Raptormm4 would apologize for his reference, but argue that his claim still stood.

== Aftermath ==
While it ultimately made negotiations more difficult, both nations would sign the Treaty of San Francisco, a historic bilateral agreement that cemented terms ending the previous conflict. The North Sea Republic would disband a few months later, and to this day, San Francisco remains a city state surrounded entirely by Cascadian towns.

For much of it's time on EarthMC, it was simply a grassy field with a single road (Aurora Avenue), with horse stalls lining it. Space Needle was half-built on the side, with a rugged shoreline and slow slope up to the mountains. Seattle fell from 42 days of inactivity in March of 2022, and was re-claimed by [[Milgorn123]]. The town was held by ashemath until [[Milgorn123]] took over as mayor in June of 2023.

Shortly after Milgorn123 took control of the city of Seattle, he began Project Seattle, which intended to construct the downtown portions of Seattle by building multiple large skyscrapers that would replicate IRL buildings, such as Space Needle, Columbia Center, Met Tower, and more. The project included over 30 players, including designers and builders in-game, along with laborers. Project Seattle began with construction in a creative world, which replicated Seattle in game using a litematica file. After the construction of a variety of buildings in Creative, with over twelve designers contributing, work began in game with 60 chunks of the Cascade Mountain Range being mined out in order to make space for development. Over the course of the next month and a half, various buildings would be constructed, primarily by the players [[Milgorn123]], [[DaCorgoKing]], [[moggs]], and others. The city was unveiled on the 1st Cascadian National Day, with a firework show being held near Space Needle to celebrate the occasion. Work still continued on four more buildings, which marked the completion of downtown Seattle.

After leaving Oceanside, [[Milgorn123|Milgorn]] moved to the Tri-Cities with [[Moxies_hoe]] and [[cowilo]], each of which created their own neighboring towns. Quickly rising to the largest town in the region, development continued steadily before recruitment.

== History ==
The mayor of Ephrata, Milgorn123, first created the town of Oceanside on the Oregon coast. However, after residing in it for almost six months, he sought out for a new experience using the lessons learnt from the past. During a conversation, he was invited by Moxies_hoe to help her and cowilo create a metropolitan area known as the Tri-Cities. He accepted, preparing for departure and selling Oceanside to [[Small_Cat]] and [[Realimpopo]] for over 1000G. Ephrata was formed on January 9th, 2023, with the first roads connecting to nearby Columbia Valley (now Yakima) being built. Paradox_1080, a close friend of Milgorn, joined shortly after, as construction on the Cascade Strip began. Within the week, zoning was planned and construction began for the commercial, residential, and main street of the town. After the beginnings of the residential district were created, Milgorn recruited multiple notable residents, including Setrus. Setrus would go on to become a notable member of the nation, creating the nation's capitol, the nearby city of Othello, and more. Recruitment would continue, with residents such as ScandiSpear, q2_0, uszn, Voidus_X, and and more being recruited. Recently, over 20 homes were created before a new push for recruitment.

== Layout ==
Ephrata is a part of the Tri-Cities Metropolitan Area in Central Cascadia. It takes the entire northern portion of the region, with Yakima (earlier named Columbia Valley) being the oldest town in the south, Othello formed by Setrus and later sold to Paradox_1080 to Ephrata's east, and the former towns of Couleeville and Pasco bordering the town of Ephrata post-collapse. The town forms the largest by area and population in the metropolitan area, along with one of the most developed after Yakima.

The town itself uses a style similar to the southwestern united states and real life Tri-Cities in Washington State. Many general ideas such as the use of red terracotta to replace grass (common in desert towns in real life), the existence of a Cascade Strip similar to the IRL Las Vegas Strip, and more are similar to the general layout of American desert towns. However, the main street of Ephrata is based off of the real life layout of Tri-Cities based on the descriptions of Cascadian's who had been to the town in real life. Using terracotta buidlings, the street is a large stucco strip mall for the most part, with realistic buildings and areas such as the Fingernail Stage existing in the region.

The community of Ephrata is fairly active, forming a closely-knit group. The town first consisted of only Milgorn123 and Paradox_1080, close friends from Oceanside. After mostly sole development by Milgorn, recruitment began. Setrus, Voidus_X, AllStarPro90, Dragonlilskib, and ScandiSpear were all recruited in the initial push. Voidus_X would continue on to develop multiple plots as an active member of the nation, and AllStarPro90 had already been an active PVPer and member of the community before getting banned for X-Raying months layer. Dragonlilskib was an active member of the community before being banned from Cascadia, while ScandiSpear remains a major part of the Ephrata community and the potential successor to become the next mayor of the town. Setrus would continue to server as the Secretary of Defense for two terms, create two major towns (including Othello near Ephrata), build dozens of buildings, and create the Capitol of Cascadia in Olympia. Other notable players include Madsnowz who created a number of homes in the region, Penguin_Lite, iShockYou, Pelecinid, Bumble_Lee, and more. Overall, the town remains to be quite active in general.
