}}The '''Great Australian War''', also known as the 4th Pilbaro-Australian war, was a global conflict involving over 50 in-game nations, fought primarily in Australia and North America. On one side of the war was Australia, including a few of its allies. On the other was a coalition formed between NA, Pilbara and their constituent sub-nations. The coalition was heavily backed by the OFN which joined the war after invoking their mutual defence clause on the 13th of October, as Pilbara and NA were part of the military alliance.

= Background =

=== Lead-up ===
After the 3rd Pilbaro-Australian war in June 2024, relations began to improve between the two nations. Although a rivalry still clearly existed, this period was one of peace and development for the entire continent. On the 24th of July 2024, the nation of NA was created by Gautomy and joined Australia as a province. About a month later, NA declared independence and left Australia on good terms, signing a non-aggression pact on the 29th of August. However, relations between the two nations began to deteriorate immediately. In the opinion of Gautomy, this was because of Australia’s alleged aggressive behaviour towards NA. On the other hand, the Australians claimed that Gautomy was trying to frame Australia as aggressive in order to start conflict. In the month of September, NA and Pilbara strengthened ties and had improved relations. On the 17th, Pilbara created the town of “Pooperpeddy” next to the Australian Capital, CooberPedy. This was seen as an act of war by Australia, and led to a rapid increase in hostility between Pilbara and Australia. Already, those living on the continent feared imminent war.

=== The Adelaide Declaration ===
On the 1st of October, Australia created the town of Paradisi 5 chunks from Ayr, which was in NA at the time, previously in Australia. NA viewed this as a hostile act, while Australia insisted that the town had no aggressive purpose, and that creating towns was not against the NAP previously signed by the two nations. Australia then proceeded to buy Ayr and the Pilbaran town of Ponta_do_sol. Gautomy was angered at this, and also labelled the purchases as hostile. Australia once again pointed out that the treaty had not been broken, and contained nothing about buying towns. Furthermore, Gautomy accused Australia of breaking the treaty by trying to sway a mayor in NA to their side. Firehawk722, who was a mayor in Australia, messaged a mayor in NA, suggesting that he should defect. The Australian government, extremely frustrated at this point, said that Firehawk722 did not represent Australia and was merely a mayor who could not be controlled.

Tensions increased dramatically after it was revealed that Gautomy himself had messaged some Australian mayors to join NA, even bribing them to do so. As well as this, Gautomy was paying members of the OFN Alliance 10g for each Australian they killed. On the 4th, Pilbara and NA formed a coalition and sent a joint ultimatum to Australia, known as the Adelaide declaration, demanding that Australia return the purchased towns and apologise for aggressive behaviour, threatening to declare war after 48 hours. While Australia wanted to avoid war at all costs, the towns were believed to have been purchased rightfully, and the government thought that if they gave NA and Pilbara what they wanted, it could lead to more potential ultimatums or demands.

Australia thus ignored the ultimatum, and the NA-Pilbara Coalition (NPC) declared war on Australia on the 7th of October. In response, Australia released an official announcement claiming that the towns were rightfully purchased, and that it was Pilbara and NA who had acted hostile towards Australia in weeks preceding the declaration of war, with examples such as the creation of Pooperpeddy and Gautomy’s bribing of mayors.

War had finally begun.

==Location==
Vermont's capital is located in the IRL U.S state of Vermont and spreads across many US and Canadian provinces. Their capital spreads far across holding 940 chunks of land and is the second most populated town on the EMC.
==History==
Vermont declared independence from their nation of Laurentia led by Princeling7 and Kellyisanicelady on February 29th of 2024. Their capital city of Vermont was founded on Dec 5th 2023 and quickly amassed a large player base soon surpassing Shinkyo as the most populated town on EarthMC with 144 residents as of May 4th 2024. Vermont's capital was narrowly passed in residents by Washington DC in late May of 2024, even though it is now the second most populated town, it still holds an impressive 125 residents. Only 1 less than the most populated town on the server. Back on March 18th of 2024, the nation of Vermont was deleted due to a series of struggle within the nation and was recreated the same day regaining its position on the server and re-stabilizing the nation.

Vermont declared independence on Feb 29th of 2024 and created a constitution to dictate the government of the young nation. The nation grew fast and the democracy soon secured many alliances with foreign nations cementing the security of their nation.

===Executive Branch===
The executive branch consists of a directly elected President who acts as the head of state and an Executive Cabinet selected by the President at the beginning of their term.
===Legislative Branch===
The legislative branch is governed by the General Assembly. The General Assembly consists of twelve Representatives, directly elected by the citizens of Vermont monthly.
===Judicial Branch===
The judicial branch consists of the Vermont Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is led by the Chief Justice, appointed by the President and confirmed by the General Assembly.
==Alliances and NAPs==
Vermont holds non-aggression pacts with the United Provinces of South Alaska, Venice, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Aragon, Greece, Aland, the Huaxia Union, and India. The also have a mutual defense alliance and border agreement with their previous nation of Laurentia, have signed a mutual defense alliance known as the Freedom Compact, and are a member state of the OFN.
==Buildings==
Vermont has many amazing buildings including the CityPlace in the center of the town, a towering building which serves as a community center for the nations residents. They also have a museum in to showcase the immense history of their nation. In their capital of Vermont there are many styles of buildings showcased from modern capital buildings to cozy treehouses.
===CityPlace===
The CityPlace was built by Princeling7 and is the center hub of Vermont. The facility houses an extensive shop, information center, restaurants, and leisure areas. It is one of the oldest buildings in Vermont.
==Design and Construction of Vermont's Brand New Capitol building==
At GMT8+, 03/01/2024 4:46 PM Dom_Innovation Joined Vermont and showed interest to propel Vermont into Industrialization. This would lead him to spearhead the design of Vermont's Brand New Capitol Building. Work on the design started immediately after he joined Vermont and it was finished 3 days later at 03/01/2024.
Work on the Capitol officially began on 03/21/2024 after acquiring land and finalizing the design. The Capitol Building is futureproofed to become the New Location of a new Nation Shop.
