With a lack of agreeance by the members, the nation of Jefferson, leadership from [[Québec]], leadership from [[Cuba]], aswell as other prominent members such as sab2003 decided to work together to make such an ambitious nation.

=== First Town: Against All Odds ===
With many of Indochina's early players flooding into the server, they all rushed for [[Singapore (Aurora)|Singapore]] to get the gold to one concentrated place. Scorpionzzx was the first to reach the location, as many more arrived, giving the de facto leader of the time, Morgini, their gold to create the first town. Their efforts were a success, as Morgini created the town of Singapore in just 18 minutes, smashing the servers record from the past 2 servers.

Nearly 11 hours after the server opened, after grinding from all of their members, Indochina beat both [[Venice (Aurora)|Venice]] and [[Germany (Aurora)|Germany]] in the grind to create the first nation. This record set by Indochina once again blew former [[Britain|Britain's]] record out of the water, even with double the gold cost to create a nation. To celebrate this, the members of Indochina who had gathered the required wither skulls to create a wither, killed the first wither on Terra Aurora's history and created the first beacon.

In the days after, many more towns were created spanning from Myanmar to [[Jakarta]]. Many that planned to create their own towns stayed in Singapore to help grind the capital to become the largest city in the nation. Members of the nation grinded out gear early on and established the most popular shop pre-opening to the public.

Because of early cooperation between Australian members, many of which were former allies of the previous Trimortum powers, the 2 nations created a pact called the [[Sydney Accords]]. This helped benefit both sides, as not only was the gold payed back but it allowed members of both nations to teleport to the region. On May 7th, 2022, the nation had already created a small shop at its nation spawn, selling various early-game items.

The nation spawn then continuted to improve. A decent blaze exp farm was created, and the shop now sells popular items such as Mending. A free sugar cane farm is also available, and only requires players to AFK for a bit to obtain sugar cane.

On May 20th, 2022, the town of Brussels left the nation to create the nation of Belgium. Quickly after that, it was decided to create a Benelux meganation, consisting of existing Netherlands, and the newly made Belgium.

One day later, the nation of Kaiserreich declared war on the nation citing claim-blocking as thier ''casus belli''. Quickly, towns across the Netherlands began expanding quickly to block the approach of newly made Kaiserreich towns that were getting closer.

The nationality of town Saint-Malo started being disputed in early June 2022 by Franco-Germany, who claimed the territory of the Dutch town as thiers, along with towns in the Rhineland and Luxembourg.

One day later, the nation of Kaiserreich declared war on the nation citing claim-blocking as thier ''casus belli''. Quickly, towns across the Netherlands began expanding quickly to block the approach of newly made Kaiserreich towns that were getting closer.

The nationality of town Saint-Malo started being disputed in early June 2022 by Franco-Germany, who claimed the territory of the Dutch town as thiers, along with towns in the Rhineland and Luxembourg.

== History ==
The nation was created on May 6th, 2022, with as capital Amsterdam. The towns of Brussels, The Hague, Den Haag, Antwerp, Flanders, Essen, [[Luxembourg]], Calais, Mainz and Köln then joined the nation on the same day.

Originally, the nation was meant to be called Benelux, but after a vote among the nations' members on May 5th, 2022, the name Netherlands was chosen instead.

On May 7th, 2022, the nation had already created a small shop at its nation spawn, selling various early-game items.

The nation spawn then continuted to improve. A decent blaze exp farm was created, and the shop now sells popular items such as Mending. A free sugar cane farm is also available, and only requires players to AFK for a bit to obtain sugar cane.

On May 20th, 2022, the town of Brussels left the nation to create the nation of Belgium. Quickly after that, it was decided to create a Benelux meganation, consisting of existing Netherlands, and the newly made Belgium.

One day later, the nation of Kaiserreich declared war on the nation citing claim-blocking as thier ''casus belli''. Quickly, towns across the Netherlands began expanding quickly to block the approach of newly made Kaiserreich towns that were getting closer.

The nationality of town Saint-Malo started being disputed in early June 2022 by Franco-Germany, who claimed the territory of the Dutch town as thiers, along with towns in the Rhineland and Luxembourg.

On July 2nd, 2022, the nation spawn was moved and the new Dutch Shopping District opened. It comes with various shops, surrounding a canal, inspired of real life Amsterdam.

The next day, the nation of Transvaal joined Netherlands, with its citizens officialy becoming Dutch citizens, having equal stature in the dutch parliament and government.

On July 8th, 2022, the government was reformed : Ministers are now elected by citizens, and the Prime Minister is chosen by the Koning (King). Elections are held every two months. The four ministers are Infrastructure, Domestic Affairs, Finance, and Foreign Affairs. The first election took place on July 12th, 2022.

On June 26th, 2022, the EMC Protestant church was launched by the Netherlands.

On June 28th, 2022, a colony in the Cape of Good Hope, [[Cape]], was founded by MadGeckos.

The next day, the nation of [[Livonia (Aurora)|Livonia]], bought by StLouis_, joined the Netherlands as a viceroyalty. This also caused the french exclave of Saint-Malo to be lost after being sold.

On August 16th, 2022, the conflict with Deutsches_Reich, formerly Kaiserreich, was ended by the Netherlands becoming peaceful. Due to inactivity in the German side, the conflict remained dead and stale.

On March 2023, a colony in the East Indies, [[DutchEastIndies]], was founded by StLouis_.

==Government==

The government is a Monarchy/Military Junta. It is composed of a King, and a Council chosen by the King.
Until January 22nd, 2023, the government was a parliamentary system, where members of the chamber could vote on propositions issued by another member. The system was abolished after attemps of overthrowing the ruling government by use of the parliament, which led in a coup led by a military junta backed by the monarchy.

Indochina was one of many topics that members of former Trimortum (TN) debated on going too. With a lack of agreeance by the members, the nation of Jefferson, leadership from [[Québec]], leadership from [[Cuba]], aswell as other prominent members such as sab2003 decided to work together to make such an ambitious nation.

=== First Town: Against All Odds ===
With many of Indochina's early players flooding into the server, they all rushed for [[Singapore (Aurora)|Singapore]] to get the gold to one concentrated place. Scorpionzzx was the first to reach the location, as many more arrived, giving the de facto leader of the time, Morgini, their gold to create the first town. Their efforts were a success, as Morgini created the town of Singapore in just 18 minutes, smashing the servers record from the past 2 servers.

Nearly 11 hours after the server opened, after grinding from all of their members, Indochina beat both [[Venice (Aurora)|Venice]] and [[Germany (Aurora)|Germany]] in the grind to create the first nation. This record set by Indochina once again blew former [[Britain|Britain's]] record out of the water, even with double the gold cost to create a nation. To celebrate this, the members of Indochina who had gathered the required wither skulls to create a wither, killed the first wither on Terra Aurora's history and created the first beacon.

In the days after, many more towns were created spanning from Myanmar to [[Jakarta]]. Many that planned to create their own towns stayed in Singapore to help grind the capital to become the largest city in the nation. Members of the nation grinded out gear early on and established the most popular shop pre-opening to the public.

Because of early cooperation between Australian members, many of which were former allies of the previous Trimortum powers, the 2 nations created a pact called the [[Sydney Accords]]. This cooperation traces back to before the formation of Singapore, where members of [[Australia (Aurora)|Australia]] donated their gold to help create the first town, Singapore. This helped benefit both sides, as not only was the gold payed back but it allowed members of both nations to teleport to the region. This was a significant early advantage as it allowed members of both nations to get to where they needed to be early game, allowing them to get to their desired towns first.
