This establishment came when the mayor and founder Baconmayonaise1 escaped from the corruption~~ of the ~~previous New Mexican leadership before [[Aurora: New Mexico \| New Mexico]] was sold. Before the newly forming town of Port~~ Jason ~~joined~~ Havaiki~~, Baconmayonaise1 recruited three members: Snowy_36, TheJTime, and Scrambledtots. 	~~From what seemed~~ to ~~be out of nowhere with no justification,~~ a ~~Port Jason citizen was harassed and trolled by the Havaikians who simply wouldn't stop despite the leader of the District of Jason intervening. This lead the residents of Port Jason to leave~~ the ~~Discord, instigating an independence plan involving all district member cities, which were to leave Havaiki altogether. The president of Zealandia, Baconmayonaise1, announced quote: "Havaiki~~ and Zealandia ~~could never work into one nation due to this behavior and toxicity~~ we ~~have had to face from them." After this, the Republic of Zealandia soon claimed sovereignty~~.
