All territory was largely defined within weeks after the server opened; since then, remaining plots have continued to be claimed and terrain modified in preparation for future infrastructure.

The area is naturally mountainous, but has mostly been flattened by town construction, intentionally preserving only [[wikipedia:Mount_Aso|Mount Aso]], a famous mountain on Kyushu.
