			After the raid of Paris, King 32Cragno abdicate in favor of CactusInapumpkin. The weeks follows his crownation create tension between political factions. King Cactus didn't really care much about his nation and prefers to spend his time with his EMC friends. While individuals like Explodingsmelons, 32Benja or Thanamos were arguing for the future of France. Following a week after the crownation of Cactus and the repression of multiple rebels nations (including former Belgium and Luxembourg), Thanamos obtains a certain popularity by crushing down those rebellion with his friend Lamye. After the victory over the Battle of Luxembourg. King Cactus decides to ban Thanamos out of the kingdom. Thanamos calls his most loyals followers and leave France until CactusInaPumpkin abdicate in favor of Thanamos.

			After a two weeks of "Cold War" (no battles took place). Cactusinapumpkin decides to fire his government (which was leaded by 32Benja and 32Mikey) and give full power to Thanamos in exchange of the end of the Thanamos's insurection. The republic was created at the end of May 2020 and Thanamos became the first president of the French Republic after the first elections. The Senate was created and France was granted a consitution which will put the basics of the future governments.

			The goverment of 32Benja and 32Mikey decides to not participate to the elections and ask the help of foreigns nations to create the nation of Carolingia. The goverment of Thanamos was in a difficult position and lost a lot of towns to Carolingia. Former king of France Trajan came back to France and seeks for reunification which leaded to the treaty of Nantes. Soon after, Thanamos resign from his office. After an attempt of a new insurrection in Paris. Cactusinapumpkin decides to betrays Thanamos and CorbeauNoiraud. This ended the first part of the Civil war.

			Soon after taking the power over France. Trajan sides with the Cactusians and his first term was marked by the destruction of every insurection and the war with Germany. This war put the cactusians in a difficult position and soon after that, trajan withdraw from his office. While being attacked by Germany. Cactusians have to face the remains of the rebels who decided to side with britain and invade France. They managed to own the town of Lyon and the French government have loosen half of his territory.

			The remains of the first republican govt were spliten in half and decide to join Nice and Normandie. It leaded to the creation of the earldom of Harfleur and the premices of the feudal system. Thanamos gains supports from Gregg and Lamye and start recruiting a solid group of loyal supporters.

The French Civil War is a conflict that started at the first may of 2020 and is still going. It opposes the "Cactusians" side who were the loyalist of King Cactusinapumpkin and the rebel side who, depending of the time of the war support the king Cactus or reject him. This conflict is one of the longest conflict EMC has ever had since today. This conflict leads to the fall of the french superpower over the world and the creation of multiple kingdom inside France.
