The June 2021 Alberta general election (formally the 11th general election) was held on May 31, 2021, to elect the Premier to lead the 11th Legislative Assembly of Alberta lasting until June 30, 2021. This was the first competitive election in Albertan History where the Premier was not acclaimed. Incumbent Premier xGoat decided not to run for a term in office. The election saw Finance Minister WeirdGamerAidan face off against Calgary MLA TarsalKnight425. It was a very close election with it being tied for a majority of the election with a last minute vote switch gave the victory to WeirdGamerAidan. This was the only albertan election in which Edgewater took part. Almost all of Tarsal's support was concentrated in major urban centers such as Edgewater, Calgary, and Edmonton, and Aidan's support being mainly focused in rural towns in eastern and northern alberta. Shortly after the election, TarsalKnight245 was named Deputy Premier of Alberta by WeirdGamerAidan. The writs of election were certified by Lieutenant Governor Fortis_Ipsum on June 1, 2021.
