The territory under evangelization, or already evangelized, by the Holy Catholic Church on EarthMC is referred to as ecclesiastical territory. The creation, designation, and organization of such territory is managed exclusively by the Congregation for Evangelization, a religious institute under the Holy Catholic Church.
There are multiple forms of jurisdiction that fall under the term of ecclesiastical territory. These include the following:
- Parishes, usually led by a priest, which are responsible for acting on the mission of the Church at the individual and town level.
- Dioceses, led by a bishop, which are responsible for overseeing the operations of individual parishes, ensuring that all are adequately equipped, staffed, and maintained to complete their mission.
- Archdioceses, led by an archbishop, which are responsible for overseeing entire regions of ecclesiastical territory and the overall mission of evangelization by managing and maintaining the dioceses and parishes within the region. Archdioceses are further responsible for representing the Holy See diplomatically in their designated region.
