Suomi Era (October 22, 2023 – May 7, 2024)

• Joining EarthMC:
  • Joined EarthMC on October 22, 2023, spawning in South Asia before relocating to the Kiistala town near Sodankylä in Europe.
  • After a brief hiatus, he returned on October 29, 2023, only to find Kiistala in ruins and moved to another Suomi town.
• Political Entry:
  • On February 11, 2024, Smarket, a key regional leader, announced the formation of the Sámi Federation (a union between Suomi and Lapland).
  • Appointed as a Lower Councillor in the federation, marking his first political role on the server.
• Rebellion and Independence:
  • The federation dissolved after Suomi was ceded to Finland.
  • Amid growing unrest, Smarket and Salbru initiated a rebellion against Finland’s leadership.
  • On May 7, 2024, the town of Mellakoski, where Mr_Immortal_X resided, declared independence, leading him to leave Suomi permanently.

  • On May 28, 2024, Smarket resigned as Suomi’s leader and appointed Mr_Immortal_X as the interim mayor of Rovaniemi.

  • Signed a peace treaty with catboyHoratio to secure Rovaniemi’s borders.
  • Oversaw the construction of a central metro station, facilitating connectivity with European towns.
  • Reunited Rovaniemi with the former nation of Scandia, demonstrating his commitment to fostering unity.

Treaty and Conflict

In May 2024, tensions rose when Msyyn attempted to incite conflict between Sodankylä’s mayor, CatboyHoratio, and the Scandian Federation. The root of the conflict lay in Sodankylä and Kolari leaving their original affiliations with Kola (Lapland) and Suomi and joining the unification efforts in Åland.

• Statement by Msyyn: In a public declaration, Msyyn condemned the decision:

  "In a shocking and disappointing move, the towns of Sodankylä and Kolari, once proud parts of Kola (Lapland) and Suomi, have turned their backs on their origins and joined Åland during the ongoing unification of the North. Sodankylä's mayor, CatboyHoratio, made this decision right after people in Sodankylä were given a chance to apply for important roles in the nation. It's not clear why CatboyHoratio decided to make this move, but it has left many wondering."
