Overview
Ostende covers the eastern city centre of Mossau and was the largest borough by population until Mid-2021. It contains the Mossau Hammer And Sickle Statue, currently the oldest still standing structure of the town, built on 8th December 2019. It's also known for being a major ice road/railroad junction due to there being many junction stations for both traction types. Ostende borders Gutow to the North, Leadenhall to the Northwest, Obermossow to the West, Niedermossow to the South and the Wilderness to the East.
Architecture
Ostende is a largely flat borough, the only building being Lenhart's Spruce Cubes and the Bärstadt Airways Tower. Like most districts in Mossau's historical centre, Ostende doesn't have a distinct architecture style.
Traffic
Until the closing of the two major railway lines, Ostende was one of the districts the Mossau–Shrek Railway ran across, calling at Mossau Nord within Ostende. Below Ostende the Mossau–New Snork ice road joins the Mossau–Neverwinter ice road, two important routes in Casey. Ostende has one ice road station: Mossau Ost on the Mossau–New Snork Iceway
