Nubia is a nation located in north-east [[Africa (Continent)|Africa]], west of the Gulf of Aden, as well as in Southern Arabia, north of the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea. It shares borders with [[Aegyptus]] and [[Ancient Egypt]], to its north, [[Zanzibar (Nyasa)|Zanzibar]] (previously [[Zanzibar (Nyasa)|Nyasa]]), to its south, The Congo nations to its southwest, the Nigerien Nations to its northwest and [[Somalia]]. This is the highly urbanised region around [[El Obeid]] and includes the land surrounding lake Nuba, south towards the 'Sudd Swamp', east towards the ruins of An Nahud and North towards Ed Damer. Several attempts have been made to populate the region however most have ultimately failed. After planning in mid-2020, many towns were founded there, helping ensure claims to the west and populate the region. One of Nubia's most active and large towns is now located there, named Suna.

The Nubian economy is currently quite small. There are currently no significant international shops within Nubia, however, a few small shops exist in towns to serve the local populous. Many goods are bought and sold from the government to generate revenue. The real estate industry within [[El Obeid]] and several other cities provide much of the income for the nation. In addition, Nubia's extensive infrastructure network gives it a unique advantage in the animal trade compared to other towns in the region with most deliveries coming out of Ed Damer. Sand mining operation and concrete production continue to be a profitable and stable industry within Nubia however Illegal sand mining are just as much of a threat to Nubia as it is to any other nation. Much of the funding for the expansion of Nubian towns comes from the national bank which gives the nation additional leverage over its towns. Despite its relatively stable economy, Nubia fails to attract many wealthy investors in the region and has less claims than any other nation in the top 10 most populous nations.

[[Twomoo1119]] had initially joined the server upon the request of an online friend, CasualNuker, with whom he had played on another towny server that had died. The plan was to set up a Wakandan nation with [[El Obeid]] to be a desert fortress and another town, located around modern-day Illicit, to become the capital. Getting to the site where [[El Obeid]] was located in January of 2019 was rather difficult. Lower Egypt only had several towns and Upper Egypt had none. There were no ice roads or canals crossing the Sahara either. For a relatively poor citizen who had to scavenge for their own food, the Sahara posed a rather frightening obstacle. Luckily for [[twomoo1119]], and Skyocity, another online friend who had joined him, some kind Judean bestowed upon them 32 loaves of bread. Upon reaching the Sahel, bounds of melons were discovered and the food situation was no longer a major concern. A temporary mine and underground base were constructed slightly north of modern day Wad Madani in order to afford a town.

[[El Obeid]] began to rapidly expand within its first couple of weeks, seeking as much aid as possible from France and also becoming a colony of Austria Hungary to gain more aid. After a couple of weeks, [[El Obeid]] began to pursue its own nation after it became apparent that Wakanda would not work out well. Unfortunately, nation prices rose from 512 to 1024 during this period making the task much more difficult to accomplish. During this time, [[El Obeid]] joined the [[African Union]] and also joined and left the nation of Yemen a couple of times.

Due to concerns over Somalia’s aggressively expansionist nature, Sudan backed the town of Nairobi in a slight border dispute. In order to help revive the nation and also symbolically cast off the French, the nation was renamed to Nubia. In addition, [[El Obeid]] saw increased recruiting in order to produce more potential mayors to revive the nation. In addition, a colony was founded in Antarctica, [[Molodezhnaya (Nubian Antarctic)|Molodezhnaya]] (then named Nubian Antarctic). Although it saw little success, it did become the source for the vast majority of Nubia’s ice during the creation of many of its ice roads. Due to all the recruiting, a vast amount of gold began to flow into Nubia’s banks allowing [[El Obeid]] to expand further as well as large savings to be accumulated. Hostility towards [[Ancient Egypt]] began after [[Ancient Egypt]] stole the town of Le Caire from Nubia, a town that was in Nubian territory. Upon a meeting to talk about it, [[louisdek]] killed [[twomoo1119]] during a lag spike. This resulted in Nubia declaring war on the town of Osiris and later, once making their own nation, [[Ancient Egypt]] as a whole. Upon entry into the [[Greater Roman Empire (GRE)|GRE]], Nubia attempted to settle the conflict with a simple peace treaty, however, due to [[louisdek]]’s violation of the majority of the terms in the treaty by the next morning, Nubia went back to war with [[Ancient Egypt]]. After this, there was a sharp spike in action for about a week. Howver, after that week, the conflict mostly died down with both sides remaining extremely hostile. Minor skirmishes had continued however Nubia had turned its focus elsewhere. The conflict would officially finish upon the fall of the First Nubian Empire.

Due to all the gold that began to build up in Nubia, as well as the new potential mayors that Nubia saw, Nubia began to see a sudden growth beginning around late October. Several suburbs were established around [[El Obeid]] allowing the area to become highly developed. While Nubia flourished, the central bank did not. Several projects, such as the Palace and the Red Nile expansion began to eat away at it while grants for the expansion of Nubian towns began to slowly increase. In addition, income from recruiting began to slowly decrease. During this period, Kabashi, the second-largest, and the formerly loyal town left without explanation and became very hostile towards Nubia. The Nubian Renaissance came to a close around the purchasing of [[Ethiopia (Imperial)|Ethiopia]]. All Ethiopian towns were then integrated into Nubia and the nation was moved south to lake Nyasa, in hopes that it would become a colony. Although this was great for expansion, it put a rather heavy strain on the central bank and forced a temporary cessation of grants for the expansion of towns. This resulted in a slowing of growth of many Nubian towns and thus, the end of the Nubian Renaissance. Regardless, this purchase marks the beginning of the First Nubian Empire.

Due to strained finances and weakening activity, Nubia entered a period of decreased activity from late December to mid January. During this time, Nubia sought to expand diplomatically and politically as opposed to the funding of new towns in order to keep costs low. Throughout January, Nubia had begun to lay the groundwork to recruit more active players. On the 29<sup>th</sup> of February, 2020, the nations of [[Zanzibar (Nyasa)|Nyasa]], and their subjects, [[Congo]] and Kalahari exited the First Nubian Empire. Due to the heavy ties between the communities, this greatly demoralized the rest of the population - especially Emperor [[twomoo1119]] who had become extremely pessimistic about the Empire's future and turned to an isolationist approach to attempt to hold the empire together. While this initial succession may have been a small issue, other issues facing the empire quickly began to rise to the surface.

Due to a significant decline in population in both [[El Obeid]] and [[St. Allison]], [[Mersa]] became an influential power holder in the region and Nubia relied on it for most of its recruiting and population, with the one town holding about 60% of the national population. Under VladimirVI, Nubia was re-branded as a Caliphate and many of the former elite were moved into lower ranking positions while newer members considered loyal and friends to VladimirVI quickly rose to the highest ranks in Nubia. VladimirVI quickly became extremely unpopular and [[Mersa]] left Nubia again; VladimirVI abdicated shortly after.

About 1 week later, [[twomoo1119]] began talking with the Nubian Mayors again and convinced many of them to join Ethiopia. After a few towns had joined, [[Raining_Oranges]] replaced Zovely with MagicMoose, fearing that [[twomoo1119]] would not remain loyal to the [[Yemen|Yemeni Empire]]. The majority of Nubian towns joined Ethiopia following this causing MagicMoose to abdicate less than two weeks after becoming Emperor, [[twomoo1119]] was installed in his place.

After some private discussion, [[twomoo1119]] and [[57gorky|gorkymoo119]] agreed to unite under Nubia provided that he be payed back in full for the nation and that the Ethiopian system of government would be preserved. The nation quickly stabilized and focus was turned to a potential war with [[Yemen]]. Although no declaration of war was made by either side, large amounts of toxicity, propaganda as well as occasional raiding occurred. On June 2<sup>nd</sup>, 2020, Nubia occupied western Yemen in response to a raid. Following this incident, any remaining diplomatic relations between the nations were severed. This situation occurred until June 20<sup>th</sup> when the town of [[Mersa]] attempted to make a suburb/proxy town across the red sea. [[Yemen]] sent forces into the area to prevent the foundation of the town however they were ultimately driven out by Sri Lankan mercenaries. Despite the victory, Nubia decided against making the town over the protest of a certain individual within the nation. A relative peace was achieved between the two nations on the grounds of "''Can we just end this shit?''" and "''I just wanna build with my friends.''" Since then, the leaders have been relatively neutral and hostility between nation members has decreased dramatically. Throughout this period, Nubia continued to climb in population going from 245 residents to 504 residents between May 22<sup>nd</sup> and June 22<sup>nd</sup> of 2020.

On August 13<sup>th</sup>, the towns Dharug and [[Kraftier]] rebelled from Nubia, joining [[Ethiopia (current)|Ethiopia]]. They were already strongly disliked in Nubia due to their constant arguments with popular Nubians, however at the time the Nubian government stopped Nubians from attacking them, but due to the fact they had left they discontinued this discouragement of attacks.
The same day [[Kraftier]] left, there were numerous small raids/incidents there, with at least 1 death on the side of [[Kraftier]]. Later on the same week, these would become battles, such as the [[Battle of Gizmo]] and [[Second Battle of Kraftier]].

The Nubian government launched a plan to prevent a rebel nation being made, by sneaking the Nubian towns of Gizmo and [[St. Allison]] in, and convincing [[Kobikraft]] and [[TheSuperGamer205]] to pay Nexus_Hype, Mayor of [[St. Allison]] 800g to make a nation, but instead of making one they would rejoin Nubia. Over the period of two days, this operation was carried out, and became a success, giving much pride to the members of the Nubian nation, and its Empire.

After looking for a nation for some time, [[TheSuperGamer205]] came across Kosovo, which was being sold for about 300 gold by the [[Greater Roman Empire (GRE)|GRE]], more specifically [[CorruptedGreed]] (the national leader).
