The 1050 Generation exploit<ref>The exploit doesn't have an official name yet. 1050 Generation comes from the way the exploit is used.</ref> is an exploit first discovered by the public on December 10th, 2021 in a video titled YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS METHOD! HOW TO FIND 250+ GOLD PER HOUR ON THE EarthMC? uploaded by Limkid to YouTube.
The exploit comes from the fact that the terrain of Terra Nova repeats every 1050 blocks. This includes ores, meaning that, if you found a vein of a certain ore, if you went 1050 in the X or Y axis, you would find that ore again, with some variations.
Functionality
Terra Nova's world generation system is flawed, as proven by the exploit. All terrain features, like trees, caves and ores, are repeated every 1050 blocks. It's largely interpreted that this happens in order to improve server performance, although this has never been confirmed.
The 1050 generation exploit uses the world generation to its advantage, as if you get lucky and find a large vein of a valuable resource, you can use the exploit to find more of it easily.
Consequences
Limkid, Kumtiox, L3th and later Lorriaz were banned because of violationg rule 1.3, regarding technical errors and server exploits, although L3th was also revealed to be an alt.
Controversy
Many players saw the bans as an unfair happening, as they stated that the exploit was a fault on EMC's end, not the player's. However, rule 1.3 seems to have been violated by the use of the exploit. Template:Quote (Matthi3000 )
