Chita

Template:Town Advanced Chita (Russian: Чита) is a city located in the region of Transbaikal, founded by the former citizens of Svobodopol.

History

Svobodopol settlement

The history of Chita begins back in 2019 when town mayor Nevedov has joined the server for the first time. Having a goal of establishing Chita city, a group of settlers has started their journey from the Sahara desert. Unluckily, hunger struck upon the group, forcing them to make a camp in the Altai mountains. They cultivated the land and started erecting their first builds. Several days later they have decided to establish their town there, dreaming of founding Chita someday.

They named their new settlement Svobodopol, the City of the Free. Eventually, more and more settlers came, and together they made Svobodopol a flourishing oasis of the Altai mountains. At the time it was the largest Russian town with a population of 48. Once there was an expedition to Chita, during which some of the road signs were placed and a large sign "ЧИТА" was formed with cobblestone.

Prefounding

Unfortunately, the great famine caused Svobopol to perish. Mayor Nevedov had to survive within taiga for 2 years, constantly moving to the East, to the point, where Chita was to be established. It turned out that some sort of settlement has already been established there, but it was already abandoned for months. On April 14th, 2021, a camp was established, that will later grow into a large, prosperous city of Chita.
