The 1st Legislature of Cascadia was a meeting of the the legislative branch of the Republic of Cascadia, composed of the Cascadia House of Representatives. It convened in Olympia, on August 17, 2022, on the first day of SayerQT’s governorship and ended on September 17, 2022. With the initial meeting of the First Legislature, the Cascadian federal government officially began operations under the new frame of government established by the 2022 Constitution.


The August 2022 election decided who would be elected to the House. The result of the first general election ended with 12 total representatives being elected to the House.

Major events

  • August 17, 2022: The First Constitution of Cascadia was ratified. The government officially began operating under this constitution.
    • SayerQT was elected as first governor (president) of Cascadia.
    • The House officially convened for the first time in Olympia.
