AZ-18 (Then called City 18) was founded on June 8th, 2023 by dzik32. The island was completely uninhabited by anyone until the arrival of dzik. Immediately upon creation, AZ-18 was integrated into SGSSI, as SGSSI had provided most of the building materials needed for The Citadel (most notably Starman8742 which mined a significant portion of deepslate for the build)

Plans for The Citadel started in early June 2023, almost instantly after the formation of AZ-18.
