Cairns was founded on March 27, 2018 by JERealize. It is located roughly nearby the real-life city of Cairns, Queensland, Australia. It joined the nation of Australia on March 27, 2018.
The town was founded on the ruins of an old town, but was cleaned up with an extensive revitalization project. A vertical farm and port can be found south of the town, along with a road connecting to a plot of land claimed by Mergopolis.
On March 29, 2018, an unknown player was spotted raiding the vertical farm as well as the local Cairns farm, leaving nothing but melon plants. JERealize reported this to the Australian authorites and received some help replanting the crops.
As of March 31, 2018, seven chunks have been claimed by mainland Cairns.
