Cairns was founded on March 27, 2018 by JERealize. It is located on the shores of Queensland on the Australian landmass, roughly located on the real-life city of Cairns, Queensland, Australia. It joined the nation of Australia on March 27, 2018.
The town was founded on the ruins of an old town, but was cleaned up with an extensive revitalization project. A vertical farm and port can be found south of the town, along with a road connecting to a plot of land claimed by Mergopolis.
As of March 31, 2018, seven chunks have been claimed by mainland Cairns.
