Glossary of terms
Please add terms, phrases and idioms that are commonly used on the server in alphabetical order. This glossary will help newer players understand the slang used on the server and on the discord server.
Cobble Monsters / Cobble Monstering
A prominent form of griefing that uses the same mechanism as a cobblestone generator. The user uses a lava bucket, water bucket and some waste blocks to create an ugly structure that sometimes spilled onto towns. Cobble monsters were seen regularly at the end of the Old Era and in the Praxian Era on EarthMC. Ever since the 11th June 2017 Update introduced an updated rule list, cobble monstering is now illegal as it is griefing.
Cobble monstering is considered griefing. It breaks Rule 5. Please do not participate in it or encourage it.
Flickering
Flickering refers to when a town switches from one nation to another nation. Sometimes flickering was seen as deeply dishonourable if without permission in some nations. The term was coined by Tailz8003, the current leader of the Jing Dynasty, at the end of the Old Era.
Scatterstate
A scatterstate is a nation with cities scattered into all 7 continents, forming enclaves comparable to the Holy Roman Empire, and sometimes in the middle of people's territories. Geologically, it would be hard not only to rule, but to also travel around in. Scatterstates are usually formed because of fast travel ability, hastened expansion, or not caring in the slightest what towns they annex (This also causes flickering). The term was coined by Tailz8003.
Skirmishing
Skirmishing refers to when an enemy or a group of enemies visit a town with intentions of possibly harassing, raiding, griefing or murdering town inhabitants. Sometimes skirmishing is a recognised method of intimidation between warring nations. Another method of skirmishing involves luring players out from PVP-safe zones. This term was coined by nation leaders during the end of the Old Era and is still frequently used on the server.
Kek
Kek is a term used to obnoxiously say "xD" or "lol". It is often used when doing something random or annoying.
