Nova:Ísland
Island (stylized Ísland in game and pronounced as Ees-land) is a nation that existed in Iceland from the July 7th 2020 to April 2021. At various times, the nation was either Iceland's opponent or its puppet.
History
In its very early stages (first couple of days in existence), Island came under conflict with Irish colonies in Iceland, many of which would soon later declare independence under the nation of Ioslainn. No blood was shed during these initial conflicts, though plenty of debate occurred. The nations are at relative peace now, with talks of forming a dual-government. However, there are still conflicts and debates over claimed territories, which may sour the two's future relations.
The capital and most populous town in Island is Reykjavík, which almost shares a name with an inactive town in the northeast of the island.
In the spring of 2020, the nation was acquired and then annexed entirely by Iceland.
Government
The Islensku government has two constituent branches; the executive and popular branches. The executive branch is in charge of nation and town leadership as well as managing foreign affairs such as wars, alliances, and enemies. The popular branch is tasked with home affairs, such as infrastructure, town conflicts, claims, populace, and major projects. Issues involving the popular branch are settled in the Alþingishúsið, or Althing House, which is situated just outside of the nation spawn.
