1st Quebec minister election and the formation of a party
The Republican Party of Quebec was formed on February 28th 2020, in the midst of the first Quebec minister election. The party was formed by two of the candidates, prominent Quebec businessman and politician enanemes_, and mayor Morgini_. The original idea for a formation of a party came from enanemes_, whilst debating a competitor for his original role as minister of industry. Shortly afterwards, the two candidates would have talks to form Quebec's first minister party of which they named the "Republican Party of Quebec". Morgini_ would become the leader of the party, and enanemes_ would become the deputy leader.
The party played a crucial role in the election, unifying moderate and centre-right and left candidates against the more extreme candidates in the field. One such "extreme" candidate was a player by the name of SubwayGoblin, a local business owner, of whom was competing against enanemes_ for the position of minister of industry. enanemes_ was already the minister of industry before the election, being appointed by Quebec's king, Hodin. During debates, SubwayGoblin often referred to his candidacy being a joke whilst also trying to bait people into voting for him with free spiderman-2 dvds or free gold.
Minister positions in the new government, called the "Kings Council", were very straight forward. There were only 5 positions which included Minister of the Armed forces, Recruitment and Community, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Industry. Candidates for these positions in the Republican Party included:
