Sorong is the Capital of Japanese New Guinea Run By The_Pock. It was founded on the 11th of February 2018. It's Mayor is The_Pock who also runs all other Japanese Claims.

The Town ran into some difficulties during its founding. Part of the Island was already controlled by Tokyo. Due to it's location near Australia, and Japan's hostilities with the nation, the town has always attempted to keep a neutral stance as the mayor dislikes the idea of Sorong being a battle ground between regional powers.

Backstory

Sorong was a large and influential city on EarthMC Classic, causing the 6-7 month long Sorongese Independence War. Not much was written down, outside of the fact that it was the former capital of the Island Union, and that it was founded by The_Pock (aTerraAustralis)
