The Canadian Rockies
The Canadian Rockies is a nation located in Western Canada that was previously established on July 31, 2020. However, it merged with the in game nation of British Columbia on March 10, 2021. But after some discussions and voting, the nation was recreated 2 months later on June 24th, 2021, with the capital being Edgewater. The nation now sits in the Pacific Northwest as a province of British Columbia (Now named The Salish Federation).
History
The Republic of Cascadia
The Canadian Rockies first started out on July 31, 2020, as a province of the Republic of Cascadia. During their time there, the nation grew to about 120 citizens and at #12 for the largest nations in the world for population. The Canadian Rockies were apart of the Republic for a few weeks, until it was kicked out on August 15th, 2020 for wanting to leave the meganation. The tiny nation then sat in the tense Pacific Northwest as an independent nation for 3 weeks, until they joined British Columbia on September 1, 2020.
August Independence
After its departure from Cascadia, the nation was quickly spied on and warred upon by the Al-Lizard Terrorist organization, led by rebels of the Canadian Rockies and a few Cascadians who despised the nation. However, the Rockies quickly caught on to the ongoing situation, and knew about the group since its establishment. This would go on for 2 months, with the terrorist group failing at every attempt. They were exposed in late September.
The Union of British Columbia
The Canadian Rockies then joined British Columbia on September 1, 2020. There it joined a few alliances that are the British Commonwealth, Canadian Empire, and the newly found Pacific Pact. It also saw its peak as a nation at 187 citizens in the month of January 2021. However, the nation slowed its growth and began dropping rapidly in population and inactivity, which led to its end on March 10, 2021. The nation merged with the in game nation of British Columbia, which reached a new high in population in the month of April 2021. That population was 287 under K1's rule, the most citizens ever recorded to be held in the core by any Chancellor. The downfall of the population in the core led to many discussions and votes into bringing the Canadian Rockies back. Then finally, on June 24th, 2021, the nation was recreated with the capital being Edgewater. It automatically joined the Union of British Columbia from a 7-0 vote by the province.
