}}Federal elections were held in the [[Salish Confederation|Salish Federation]] on July 30, 2020, to elect the government of the 5th Parliament of the Salish Federation. Incumbent [[Chancellor of the Salish Confederation|Chancellor]] xGoat was barred from immediate re-election to the office during the 5th Parliament. Minister JesTer of Edmonton initially saw a rival in Wenatchee Mayor _Kaito_Kid, however _Kaito_Kid acquiesced to JesTer's wish to form government. JesTer unanimously became Chancellor as a result, and would later receive a term extension. This would mark the start of the Jester era of Salish politics, and the start of democratic backsliding that would only end following the defeat of the Jesterite regime in June 2021.
