View source for Block and Entity Limits

In order to maintain server performance, there are limits on how many blocks/entities of a certain type can exist in a chunk. If a block limit is exceeded, the server will send the player a message that the limit is full and prevent the placement of the block. If an entity limit is exceeded, the server will despawn an applicable entity to maintain the limit amount.

Monsters are limited to 20 existing per chunk. The following is a list of entities considered monsters:

* Zombie
* Skeleton
* Slime
* Creeper
* Stray
* Witch
