=== '''-=Early History (Dec 17th-Jan 7th)=-''' ===
Kaktovik, Alaska [founded December 17th 2022] is a rapidly growing town North of Fairbanks, Alaska focused on providing a safe learning space for new EMC players. Kaktovik was founded by Knowlton & Kayleemar after being forced out of Indochina due to constant "hunters". Kaktoviks development was slow at first and Indochinese "hunters" continued to follow which disrupted the growth of the town for some time. Eventually discoveries of gold were found and growth has become rapid. Roughly January 1st, Kaktovik opened its doors and welcomed new players with open arms. Though Kaktovik has grown in size far past what it was in the start it's goal of helping teach the ways of EMC has not changed at all. Kaktovik is currently one of the largest towns associated with the Imperial Alaska Nation and has begun trading with several other nations all over the world.

=== -=Present History (Jan 14th-Present)=- ===
On January 14th, nearly a month after Kaktovik was originally created Northern_Alaska was formed. A Nation where Kaktovik is the Capitol while still participating in Imperial Alaska's more regional government. With the abilities that come with a nation trade is much easier and focus can now be put towards expansion of the now city.

=== -=Districts=- ===
Kaktovik is made up of several districts which can be seen by different building styles throughout the town.

==== Shopping District ====
Kaktovik's shopping district is mainly along the water and consists of small local shops from many town members. The main street coming out from Kaktovik's tunnel, expanding West is where the town focuses on primary shops.

==== Rural District ====
The rural district is like the other districts, constantly expanding towards the East side of town. Kaktovik's many farms and lower class housing can be found in this area.

==== Mountain District ====
Our Mountain District is a more slow expansion due to the mass amounts of terraforming in order to keep our very realistic and "homey" town feel. This district mostly consists of our middle class housing offering a fantastic view of downtown Kaktovik and the ocean to the North.

=== -=Town Hall=- ===
Kaktovik has taken a unique approach to the town's capitol building. As Kaktovik is primarily focused on helping new players, the town hall offers many boards with basic commands, town rules, etc. to help further new players knowledge on how they should be playing on EMC.

=== -=The Kaktovik Tunnel=- ===
One of the first developments to Kaktovik was The Kaktovik Tunnel, established to bring ease of travel through the harsh northern mountain range of Alaska. Due to being so far north, farm animals or non-existent and without this construction Kaktovik would be even more remote than it already is.

=== -=Alaskan Ice Highway=- ===
Started Jan 5th, 2022 the Alaskan Ice Highway has begun construction as a way to connect the nation's capitol town Fairbanks with it's surrounding towns. Future development wishes to connect all of Alaska and possibly other ice highways furthering tourism across the North-West US & Canada.

== Government ==

=== -=Kaktovik's Monarchy=- ===
As a town focused on helping new players learn EMC in a safe area, Kaktovik is primarily based as a Monarchy with Knowlton as the Mayor and Kayleemar as the only Councilor in order to maintain rule. It is done not in a way to discourage players from bringing new ideas to the board but to ensure all players are treated the same and the town's priority focus remains at all times.

=== -=Aggression=- ===
Kaktovik is a 100% peaceful town willing to provide anyone on EMC a safe enjoyable place to shop, meet or live. If any town member is found guilty of starting a fight Kaktovik holds accountability to that town member, resulting in a banishment of the town. If a banishment is given, it will have to be appealed by either Kayleemar or Knowlton.
