== About ==

=== History ===
In late March, GroundXero was inspired by the race track at Lixus and began to envision a global grand prix with tracks around the world.  After discussion with [[Neowyld]], the track's owner (who was a fan of the idea and had the same hope), GroundXero began planning just how such a thing might happen.  He began construction on his own race track in mid-April, balancing this with his role in Jefferson as head developer.

The track was completed at the end of April, and a few private races were hosted.  With approval from Neowyld and positive reviews from all racers, GroundXero officially launched the World Boat Racing Federation as quickly as possible after his term as head developer ended on May 1.  A Discord server was launched on May 2, and the first public race was held on May 9.

As free public races were held, the first tournament was also underway.  The first tournament event happened on May 20 and 21, and victory was claimed by B_Brothers.

In the mid summer of 2020, GroundXero (Now known as ZanyAvian) decided to take an indefinite break from EMC. This led to the inactivity of the WBRF as it was left with Neowyld who was far too busy to coordinate the league. 

=== Goals ===
The World Boat Racing Federation exists to create racing opportunities across the world available to all players.  To accomplish this goal, WBRF sponsors races and works with players to help create the best race tracks possible.  As all of this is very expensive, WBRF is always on the lookout for sponsors to help fund races and track building.  Sponsors are advertised at races based on the amount given. === Golden Apple Raceway ===
Location: Lixus, Casablanca

Directions from n spawn: Enter the casino, make a right, go to the back, walk down the stairs into the ice highway entrance, then enter the red elevators down to the starting line. 

The oldest track visited by the WBRF, Golden Apple Raceway is built for speed.  Starting beneath and stopping in Lixus's landmark casino, the track also cuts through the ruins of the nearby Casa City, which has otherwise been left intact.  Don't let the simple turns at the start fool you, though.  Just when you start to think that speed is all that matters, Golden Apple Raceway will hit hard with one of its more technical turns, including the infamous hairpin.

=== Klamath Falls Raceway ===

Directions from n spawn: Head straight forward and you'll see a building marked "WBRF".  Inside is a map of the town, and the railway entry is marked on the map.  The map is also shown below with a path marked.

During a race, n spawn will lead straight to the start gate.

Open practice: Head through the start gate to the initial split in the track.  The front of the split has a dispenser and instructions to dispense a boat.

Built in a treetop town, Klamath Falls Raceway is a technical course that puts a strong emphasis on skilled racing.  Only a few long straights mean that a good line through the corners is imperative.  This track wraps around town over and over, giving spectators fabulous views of racers as they whiz around iconic turns like the helix.

The World Boat Racing Federation is always on the lookout for new sponsors!  Sponsors help run ice races without having to spend as much time mining for gold (since WBRF does not make money by its own operations).
