Attack on Malvinas

The Attack on Malvinas was a terrorist attack by the californian user WhyNotGonzz against the province of Malvinas (Argentina) owned by Kilomberox on the early morning of Sunday, September 6, 2020. The attack did not result in any human cassualties but around 10 animals from the farm were killed during the event. Most of the items saved in Malvinas were robbed (+800G worth).

Attack

Before the attack

WhyNotGonzz (NicoGNV) was an argentinian user with no permanent residence; he was a nomadic. He was in the nation just to help others with their towns, and this was the case of Malvinas, who invited him to help on the terrain flattening.

After doing the flattening, he never came back to help Malvinas (he moved to Mexico to found Imperio Azteca and help his argentinian friend Lil_FrenchToast) but his permissions on the town's claims were never removed. The attack itself seems really incoherent, unnecessary and exaggerated, as the problems that Kilomberox and WhyNotGonzz had in the past seemed to be solved few days before the incident.

On the night before the attack, Kilomberox was building a new spawn for Argentina, after having the permission to do so given by the nation councillor JonnyGrunge. Meanwhile, he asked Gonzz for building material (concrete) but the perpetrator roundly denied, so he stayed three hours online since Kilomberox left the server.

The attack

On September 6, 2020, Kilomberox (the only Malvinas resident online at that moment) left the server at 0:57 AM (UTC time), while WhyNotGonzz stayed online until 4:30 AM. The exact time of the attack is not clear, however it seems to have been a 20-minute attack around 3:00 AM.

WhyNotGonzz arrived at Malvinas in an unspecified vehicle (as he was not seen by the army radar), probably using the subway from Buenos Aires to Malvinas. He attacked most of the structures by griefing with a pickaxe (there is no possibility to explode bombs in the area). The following structures were damaged during the attack:

• Warehouse [severely damaged]

• Farm [severely damaged]

Malvinas Este

• 1 street griefed [slightly damaged]
• Old hall [slightly damaged]

After investigations (12 hours after the events), the perpetrator was immediately identified as WhyNotGonzz but without clear proof. This accusation caused a mixed sensation of laughter and madness on CR12, the king of Chile, who never showed concern for the attack. The childish and insufficient reaction of the king to this massive grief of a 3 month work made Kilomberox very angry and dissapointed, so he quickly decided to leave all La Plata-related discord servers and began an imperialist movement to conquer all Argentina and Chile in revenge.

Afterwards, the server moderator RoseBrugs checked the grief and warned WhyNotGonzz for it, confirming the hasty accusations made by Kilomberox.

To the day, the reasons of the attack are unclear. However, the strongest hypothesis points to a revenge made by WhyNotGonzz due to his fights with Kilomberox in the past, as most of the items robbed were Kilomberox's and not others'. It's also thought that the attack was planned by CR12 in order to stop Kilomberox's power from growing and encourage him indirectly to leave the nation.

Consequences

• The grief is mostly rollbacked by RoseBrugs.
• Most of the items saved in Malvinas are stolen (probably burned) with the only resting deposit being inside a bunker.
• The governors Kilomberox, DontUwU leave the nation and plan on selling their towns to move to Antarctica.
• dies_Saturni quits EarthMC.
• Kilomberox develops hostility relations towards WhyNotGonzz, despite him being defended by California and La Plata.
• The subway station of Malvinas closes its connections to Argentina and Chile.
• In late September 2020, Kilomberox is self-exiled to Brazil, where he will serve as the Transport Minister after leaving the server in early November.
