Madagascan Navy (Terra Aurora)

The Madagascan Navy, officially the Royal Malagasy Navy, is the national armed force of Madagascar.

It encompasses the Navy, the Marines and the Fleet Air Arm, the latter two being the Madagascan equivalent of the Army and Air Force.

The ceremonial head of the Madagascan Navy is the Monarch, while the Fleet Admiral is the operational head of the Navy. The Fleet Admiral has absolute authority over all naval matters, including those of the Marines and FAA.

The Madagascan Admiralty is responsible for the actual running of the Navy, Marines and Fleet Air Arm, the offices for which can be found in Antananarivo, Madagascar's Capital City. Each of the three branches under the Admiralty are led by three separate Admirals, who answer directly to the Fleet Admiral. The Admiralty also includes the Minister of Defence, an individual who was elected by the Madagascan Parliament to represent the Government's, and by extension the Civilian Population's, interests in naval affairs as well as playing an active role in the running of Madagascar's Navy, the Marines and the FAA.
