The Second Epoch (Classic): Difference between revisions

The Second Epoch began when the "toxic" nations opposed to staff elitism began forming under the banner of Hoting (later Soviet) and then Tailz later made Praxis. When Praxis began their reign of terror, the first global coalitions were formed to destroy them, resulting in a life-and-death struggle for the server. After their defeat, staff globalism (CRINGE) reigned supreme in the form of PWW, and Praxis went back to Jing. The only successful place that could be staff decoupled and somehow not be cancelled was Canada. I guess they thought the leader was Justin Trudeau......? Anyways, PWW was almost instantly put into conflict with Maracaibo because aggressively snobbish staff never really understood the concept of co-existing with players instead of pinning them as enemies. PWW newly labelled Maracaibo's faction as "Toxicism" (an ideology whose sole purpose was to destroy and cause conflict). That was pretty rich coming from PWW.

During this time Regionalism began to gain popularity. Many regionalist nations such as the Empire of Germany arose and became key players for several months. Jing achieved its first "golden age". Yeah, this whitewashed article doesn't quite explain how Tailz created a "golden age" right after griefing the entire server as Praxis. After all, the guy literally only made 1000 gold from all of that.

At the end of July 2017, both PWW and Maracaibo collapsed, leaving a huge power vacuum across the server. Quickly, the nations of Canada, Jing, Sweden, and Spain took PWW's former power. In other words, the staff just flocked to Jing and Sweden. The staff also banned GuardedCharlie for being "toxic". The staff got to enjoy a reign of repression without "toxics" to stand in their way

With the collapse of PWW, the staff didn't give a fuck because they just moved to the smaller staff-run nations. Regionalism was represented by Canada and Jing. Prestige Imperium (PI) decided to attack Canada on the third war day because that's what happens when you're not part of the staff agenda. PI was humiliated by the staff, and removed from world affairs, leading to America's decision to leave in an attempt to re-vitalize PI. Ultimately, PI collapsed at the end of November 2017. Good riddance.

The "toxics" were able to go somewhere now that the staff kept showing their true colours. The nation of NATO was reformed to CCCP and began The October War, which ended up involving over half of the server. Egypt, which had risen to power in this epoch, stood behind NATO, making the threat of a new Toxic alliance a real concern, since just banning them would expose them as the gatekeepers they truly are, and they couldn't broadcast whitewashing propaganda to divide them again. However, CCCP collapsed on November 10.

Yet as the new era dawns, people started switching from griefing, or threatening to grief, to making cringey versions of the UN. And since this was happening, server population could grow and players could build something that could last for more than 1 month before Tailz or someone else destroys it. Since everyone who was griefing was just busy going on twitter rants on cringey discords, and drawing cringey maps.
