This is the Germanic-Hispanic-Japanese Alliance, not kcod's 1st Axis Powers

History

There is a problem with parsing the infobox The Axis Alliance was a treaty of combined defense for Germany, Japan, and Spain. If any one nation was attacked all would enter war. The treaty came about during the Kerala War and continues to today (although Spain's part in it currently is unknown to me) and defined German and Japanese foreign relations.

Events of Use (Probably more)

Kerala War

Formed during this War, Spain eventually did withdraw from fighting and it was a Spanish-led push for peace that ended the War, that being said Japan and Germany were close allies.

Shortly after the Kerala War Spain actually expressed the idea that Japan had been intruding into Japanese land and that if Germany did not keep backing Japan up Spain would attack Japan (I am assuming that Spain effectively ended its participation in the alliance by this point)

2 Days War

When Germany attacked Joel's Belgium one reason given was to support Japan, who Joel had previously attacked before his ban.

Events of Non-Use

There have been certain events, such as the Caspian-Japanese Crisis, and the Sino-Japanese War which the other Axis powers did not give material or military support Japan, even though they may have given verbal approval. Whether this is Germany disagreeing with Japan or if these are too small for the Axis forces to support is unknown, but the Axis have not always been a firm block.
