BetaPlain originally lived in his town [[Newburn]], before he was offered to be the national leader of Oregon by Estonian Mapping. BetaPlain founded Portland (now Bend) on 24th December 2019 in the ruins of [[Bend]].

However, the name Portland didn't make sense as he had founded his town in the real-life location of Bend, not Portland. BetaPlain expanded his town North until he came to the realization to sell his town and start again. BetaPlain renamed Portland to Bend and sold it to Chrysoprasus who has since run the town.
