History

The history of Poitou-Charentes on EarthMC began on August 21, 2022, when the region of Poitou was created. Poitou was made up of three cities: Niort, Aiffres, and Naoned. The reason for Poitou's creation was that the three cities wanted their independence from France, which had always tried to claim block these cities.

Despite the French blockade, Poitou managed to expand and now has 889 claims in a region that is highly disputed. Today, Naoned has been integrated into Niort, and two new cities called Fort-Boyard and Albi have joined Poitou. They were followed by Mauzé, a city containing a river called "Le Mignon" close to Albi The tensions between France and Poitou have eased, but the nation maintains its independence.

Poitou's success can be attributed to its determination and resilience. The region's inhabitants never gave up on their desire for independence and continued to fight for it. With the addition of Fort-Boyard and the integration of Naoned into Niort, Poitou has become a force to be reckoned with.

Despite the challenges, Poitou has managed to maintain its independence and expand its territory. Its success on EarthMC is a testament to the power of determination and perseverance.

Due to the unique shape of the city of Niort and its tense relationship with the other cities of France, the builders of Poitou-Charentes had to adapt and create an ultra-compact fortified city. In some areas of Niort, it is impossible to see the sky because of the high density of buildings.

The city's walls were built to protect its inhabitants from any potential attacks from France or other neighboring regions. The architecture of the city is also unique, featuring narrow streets and tall buildings that allow for maximum density while maintaining a sense of security.

Aiffres, on the other hand, is an agricultural town that is still under construction. So far, it consists mainly of fields and farms. The builders are working hard to develop the town and provide its inhabitants with all the necessary amenities.

Finally, Fort-Boyard is a city inspired by the real-life Fort Boyard. In this city, a fort was constructed to protect the inhabitants from potential attacks.
