Aurora:Dnieper

Dnieper is a trade nation north of Romania and east of the Russian Empire, it's peaceful history relates partly due to it gaining most of it's profits through scavenging. Despite it's small size, Dnieper has, over time, been embroiled in controversy due to it's leader Ytteryer. Ytteryer is notable for their dislike of Romania and their connection with CFRhino prior to their ban in February of 2025. Dnieper is the only known nation (other than Ob) which frequently gives trash blocks away like Stone(s), Dirt, Containers, and more, for free regularly.

The main exports of Dnieper consist of materials found in abandoned sites:

• Concrete/Terracotta
• Glass
• Potions
• Misc items (Flowers, Wood, Campfires, etc.)

Creation

Sighisoara was originally created August 13th, 2024, and was originally apart of Romania. The town advertised itself as a "Traveler Helper Tavern" giving away blocks and food to players who headed east from their spawn points in Greater Russia. The town soon expanded, creating a free item building, which had switch on, enabling players to open chests in the building. From there, the town expanded around a crater left by an old base long before the creation of Sighisoara.

The owner, Ytteryer, attempted to get plots in Romania's capital from it's leader, Dirtman, in order to begin selling items near a teleport. A supposedly rude exchange followed and Ytteryer sold/mined/fundraised gold out of spite to make the precursor to Dnieper, Transnistria. As Sighisoara expanded, houses were constructed and the famous monolith was constructed in the middle of the old crater. During this time, Ytteryer refused to sell his nation to Romania or puppet nations purely for the sake of the message. Still, to this day, Dnieper stands as a refusal to bow to greater powers.

The Femboy Alliance

Function

The Femboy Alliance (TFA) was an ally pact made with AstolfoLover88 and his nation, Mozambique, the pact was then expanded to the towns, Femboy Hooters, Femboyville, and MrFroggy Frog. The naming convention, and furthermore it's members, are obviously in some way related to the LGBT concept of a Femboy, who is a male who crossdresses but keeps their original gender (which different from a Crossdresser, MtF Trans People, and 16th Century Monarchs). Ytteryer would use the pact to commision cheap maparts from Mozambique, usually themed around Femboys. At one point, during this time, Transnistria frequently advertised it's "Gayest Store in EMC" which contained a wide variety of Femboy and LGBTQ+ themed maparts. These maparts where later moved to the Monolith, which can be teleported to usually with /n spawn Dnieper, along with more mapart Ytteryer has commissioned from Iceland since then.

CFRhino, Former Queen of Scandenavia, was also for a short time invited to the Alliance, but was banned before she accepted.

Members Bannings

Astolfolover88, known by John_kler during the time, was banned, along with two of his hands for anti-Semitism and 2.4 violations. CFRhino was also banned for 2.4 violations, and was also someone who was invited to the TFA, leading to jokes that TFA in someway contributed to their banning, rumors of which, are unconfirmed.

2.1 and Eventual Rename

2.1 Rename Ticket

Transnistria was eventually changed to 2.1ChangeName due to the fact that it wasn't actually in Transnistria, the nation was later renamed to Dnieper and Sighisoara was renamed to Chamomile, which are the current names for both. Dnieper held off from joining The Scandenavian Empire and The Confederacy of Nations before it's rename and joined after the fact. Ytteryer's connection to the EMC discord during this point was purely for shitposting, as the rename took about a month for the mods to fulfil, leading to jokes and pleas for help. By the ticket's closing, about 4 mods were on the ticket.

Advertising

Before this, and even before Transnistria was a nation, Sighisoara advertised it's location by locating players on maps and dropping them items renamed using anvils to advertise it's XYZ coordinates. First, renamed amethyst shards, then renamed cooked salmon, copies of these items are now stored in the Dnieper Museum, located in the Inn. After Dnieper's rename, Iceland was commissioned to produce the "Join Chamomile mapart" which was an impact font meme with a Femboy, on a bed, with the caption "/t join Dnieper", which was from then on used for nation advertising. The "Join Chamomile mapart" is extremely widespread due to it's frequent circulation in modern advertising campaigns, and wide spread placements in chests in the Wilderness. The mapart can be bought in the Monolith which can be teleported to usually with /n spawn Dnieper.

Flag Change

Dnieper had 3 main flags,

1. The flag of Sighisoara, relating heavily with the Romanian flag, with a white diamond and black flower placed on top.
2. The flag of Transnistria, taking from the previous flag, but with it's white diamond, expanded into a white diagonal half.
3. The flag of Dnieper, having a black diagonal half instead, a white flower, and red corner on the black half, frequently described as the flag of scavengers.

CFRhino Controversy

As mentioned previously, the rename of Dnieper opened it's ability to join the Scandinavian Empire, which was under considerations long before it's official joining. During this time, the leader of Scandenavia, CFRhino, was accused of Racism, Transphobia, Xenophobia, and Pedophilia, but was not banned. Ytteryer wrote the CFRhino response document, which criticized users Kosmickaktus, Explosivefirework, and Guatomy for their hypocrisy in the claims of discrimination and reasoned that their inability to engage faithfully led to CFR's other actions being held invalid by the moderation team. Arguing ensued, and upon finding out of Dnieper's part in The Scandinavian Empire, Sapmi and Fennoscandia both declared war on Dnieper, an action which was heavily criticized by Ytteryer for being uses, as Dnieper "(has only) 2 residents, and the only thing it's known for is trade" outlining it's peaceful past.

Dnieper attemped to open up to The Blockbuster Insider, an EMC newspaper in order to issue an ultimatum, jokingly, that Dnieper would accept peace if both nations joined The Femboy Alliance, which was then joking accepted by Sapmi, and outright refused by Fennoscandia. Peace talks and fell apart as Fennoscandia refused to share their terms in the agreement, and Dniepers' "Small nation" title and placement within the bounds of Romania made it irrelevant to actually attack. Despite this, both nations have still not ended the war and to this day both nations are still in a war with Dnieper.

Ytteryer famously started his CFR response document with an admittance to his sexuality, in relation to his connection to CFR which became a copypasta ("My name is Ytteryer and I'm 20 years old..."). To this day Ytteryer embraces his outing to the community, and makes jokes about fact.

CFRhino was banned along with the release of the 3rd CFRhino document, containing her interactions with an African Leader. Ytteryer has since made up with Kosmic, and his dislike of Ytteryer faded to mild suspicion to his previous defense of CFR. Dnieper still maintains relations with The Confederacy of Nations, Zambeza, the rename of Mozambique, and multiple towns.
