'''Port Jason''', also known by its motto '''The Round the Clock City''', is the most populated city and capital of the oceanic country of [[Aurora:Zealandia|Zealandia]]. Port Jason was first founded and settled in on March 31st, 2024, as a city under the nation of Aotearoa and later Havaiki. As of July 2024, the population of Port Jason is 70. The mayor of Port Jason is Baconmayonaise1, who is also one of the founding members of it and the king of the entire country of Zealandia.

As mentioned, the establishment of Port Jason occurred on March 31st, 2024. This establishment came when the mayor and founder Baconmayonaise1 escaped from the corruption of the previous New Mexican leadership before [[Aurora: New Mexico | New Mexico]] was sold. Before the newly forming town of Port Jason joined Havaiki, Baconmayonaise1 recruited three members: Snowy_36, TheJTime, and Scrambledtots. These three plus Bacon became known as the founding members of Port Jason. Along with Bacon and the three other founders, a player by the name of Orbious was also key to the establishment of Port Jason. Orbious was also key to the establishment of Port Jason's sister city, Sailport. After only three days after the founding of the city, Port Jason left the nation of Aotearoa to join [[Aurora:Havaiki||Havaiki]]. When it was in Havaiki, Port Jason quickly gained popularity due to its rapid growth and active members compared to other Havaikian settlements.

In its early days, Port Jason received a donation of 1800 gold from an anonymous individual referred to by mayor Baconmayonaise1 as 'Jason'. This donation helped the town reach a milestone of 100 chunks, making it the most populated city in Havaiki and the island of New Zealand in general. This individual was therefore became the namesake behind both Port Jason and the District of Jason

From what seemed to be out of nowhere with no justification, a Port Jason citizen was harassed and trolled by the Havaikians who simply wouldn't stop despite the leader of the District of Jason intervening. This lead the residents of Port Jason to leave the Discord, instigating an independence plan involving all district member cities, which were to leave Havaiki altogether. The president of Zealandia, Baconmayonaise1, announced quote: "Havaiki and Zealandia could never work into one nation due to this behavior and toxicity we have had to face from them." After this, the Republic of Zealandia soon claimed sovereignty.

Port Jason was established on the 31st of March, along with its sister city Sailsport which was established by [[Jacquemon]]s friend Orbious. [[Jacquemon]] soon joined the Nation of "Aeotoera" a close Nation that allowed them to access international shops, but besides that provided no use to the towns. Port Jason's Mayor Jacquemon soon recruited ScrambledTots and Snowy_36 on the first day of its establishment, who both proved to be some of the most influential residents in the town and the future Nation of [[Zealandia]].
As stated, after the events of harassment from Havaikians, Zealandia quickly became independent. This independence was created from the former leader of the District of Jason deciding to hold a vote to determine if independence from Havaiki was desired, in which the vote was unanimously in favor of independence. Consequently, an independence plan was enacted, and 2000 gold was raised in 4 days thanks to donors such as Orbious, Khaled, and Baconmayonaise1, among others. Shortly after its founding, Zealandia faced an "invasion" by Havaiki, resulting in significant casualties for Zealandia. An estimated 1 Havaikians were lost, compared to roughly 0 members of Port Jason.

Soon after Port Jason was established, [[Jacquemon]] had noticed that New Zealand was quite more active then he thought, when he saw a resident of Havaiki online, FieryMatter. Since the Nation of Havaiki was closed and required towns to be invited, [[Jacquemon]] soon sent a message to FieryMatter, requesting admission this is where Port Jason recieved an invitation to join the Nation of Havaiki. Port Jason quickly grew to be one of the biggest towns in Havaiki, and was 2nd in population by the time of it's first monthly anniversary firework event, this is where Dracnoian invited many friends from Vermont, Cascadia, and all around the world, [[Jacquemon]] was quite happy that so many had shown up and gave a speech alongside his Co Mayor, Scrambledtots.  
Because of the invasion of Port Jason from Havaiki due to the independence vote results, Zealandia retaliated, starting with an attack and invasion on Havaiki forces at the Havaikian military base ''Atua''. An estimated 15 players were involved in this first battle, with the battle in general heating up the conflict. This independence war would continue until June 16, 2024, where both sides signed a peace treaty. This officially marked the end of the war, and marked independence for Port Jason and Zealandia as a whole.

Today, Port Jason is still thriving, with it often being compared to New York in terms of infrastructure and manufacturing. The predominant religion in Port Jason today is Catholic, heavily influenced by Pope Leo, a former member of New Mexico. The town is now considered the economic capital of New Zealand, with it being available for members to visit at /n spawn Zealandia.

Port Jason had finally overtaken Havaiki City which was seen by [[Jacquemon]] as a huge accomplishment, and soon after Port Jason hosted a skyscraper race, which saw 3 builders competing for the highest skyscraper and to complete theirs first, the height competition got so bad that, mayor Jacquemon introduced a height restriction law to ensure all citizens of Port Jason could see the top of each skyscraper without premium.

The Port Jasoners were often considered "Younger Havaikians" due to the faction most popular with younger EarthMC players in Havaiki, whilst the other two factions had relatively older players. Port Jason's Mayor and leader of the Port Jason faction, [[Jacquemon]] would soon get into a feud and argument with a Havaikian by the name of _LegendaryOtter unbeknownst to Jacquemon, this Havaikian was just trolling and messing with [[Jacquemon]], but it was taken seriously by the mayor. He soon gathered all reliable members of the faction to raise gold for this new Nation "Zealandia"
