| Sagres is a town part of Kingdom of Portugal, located into the Iberia Peninsula at the extreme west of Algarve. Founded May 11, 2026. This city was previously done on the previous version of EarthMC and to maintain the legacy it was created using the same name.

| ===Foundation===

| The town was founded between vOkloi and vJuke, booth real life portuguese. The city was supported since the beggining with the help of Cides_ and underrrr in terms of food and materials. The next following days after foundation, Sagres joined officialy to the Kingdom of Portugal.

| The city started slow, but it started to florish consistency independently. New members joined us: vRoquy, BearXVR, v4stro. The city started building various community buildings such as the town hall, communitary enchantments, governor house and residential buildings. The facade of the buildings was a mix of Portuguese style - using the white concrete - and traditional wood building. Beaches were also done, as Algarve are popular for their sun, beaches and nightlife.

| ===Andaria Tension===

| Al-Andalus, commanded by Taha_AbuObaida, part of Mauretania, an allied of Portugal, sended a settler to colonize some chucks away on the north of Sagres. vOkloi surprised with the situation have visited the Andaria in order to understand what was the motive for them to colonize Portuguese territory. The governor of Andaria affirm that they liked the long beach that part offered, the location.

| vOkloi wasn't happy with the justification and affirmed alongside the governor and other Mauretanea high ranking officials, that the full territory of unclaimed Portugal is still part of Portugal and Sagres will not tolerate any non-portuguese Settler in the area, specialy a so told allied.

| ===The War of Andaria-Sagres===

| vOkloi, commanded Andaria to move away from portuguese borders right away, but Andaria governor refused. vOkloi contacted underrr and Cides_ however booth of them refused to go on war with Sagres since they were working the on the diplomatic way to resolve this colony of Mauritanea.

| Since the response wasn't positive, vOkloi felt betrayed and ordered vRoquy to build the 1st army of Sagres and to commanded it due to his PVP skills. Sagres have spended alot of gold on new chunks, to grow as fast as possible so that Andaria could grow, but they were still far away. However that decision had been financialy speaking harsh on the bank of Sagres and Sagres wasn't prepare to go war with good equipment.

| The 1st army of Sagres, started to make stacks of TNT, diamond armors and potions to distribute to all the soldiers. vRoquy himself warned the governor to leave Portugal a last time, but they refused once more.

| Without any options and alot of gold invested into equipment, vOkloi ordered the war to beggin, toons of TNT was exploded all around the town, griefing near territory, lava was placed and making holes for enemies to not go outside of their town. The governor of Andaria felt very sad that they were making enemies, that could do anything to achieve their means, and contacted various times vOkloi to stop it during those hours, however left ignored.

| Andaria called Al-Andalus support for the war and 1st army of Sagres was outnumbered in people and the netherite equipment was way superior. Casualties and lost equipment was harsh however Sagres army didn't give up and continued until collectively decided to hold the war. Altought Sagres didn't unclaimed defeat, Mauretanea claimed victory.

| ===Free City of Sagres===

| vOkloi, vRoquy had a heated conversation with underrr and Cides_. Sagres members claiming that they have betrayed Portugal for not supporting the rebel movement that Sagres created and that the portuguese spirit is not waiting for unwanted settlers to stay in Portugal. Portuguese government in the other way, maintain firm and was very dessapoint of Sagres actions toward Andaria in the way that they wan't to resolve it was by going into war and affecting Portuguese world opinion to the rebel actions.

| Democraticly, Sagres hold a votation and the majority have decided to Sagres to become independent. So Sagres left Portugal, and have changed their name to Free City of Sagres and created their own flag, still in use today.

| The Free City of Sagres, was putting on blacklist on booth Mauretania and Portugal, due to Sagres rebellion moviment. However during this time, the city grown in terms of infrastructures, builded their first church and more residential buildings were done. The city auditorium, a place for the members of Sagres to talk about laws and strategic plans was builded.

| Various invisible soldiers from those countries were roaming very frequently on Sagres, to intimate the citizens and make death treats, specially on the Mauretania side.

| For a brief moment, Sagres joined Monaco, in order to have nation perks and benefits, but left after diplomatic conversatiosn arrised between Portugal and Sagres.

| ===Reaproximation to Portugal===

| After weeks, tensions were decreasing, and underrr strategicly visit Sagres in a way to create a proximation to Sagres again. underrr respected Sagres traditional and patriotic values however explained that going into war was prejudicial and Portugal was affected from it. vOkloi still felt betrayed as they didn't joined the war, however underrr explained the other diplomatic way of resolving the issues and have convinced vOkloi to join back, as Portugal was facing territory dificulties and defractmentation.

| A secret plan was present to vOkloi of how Portugal going to resolve this situation, and how Sagres will play a role on it. The plan was considered genious by Okloi, and without democratic vote Sagres joined back Portugal. The people was Sagres were very questionable why join back to Portugal was they were our enemies, however after explaining to each citizen the plan, they agreed.

| ===Portugal funds and the Secret plan===

| Portugal have gave a very considerable ammount of funds to Sagres, in order to grow the town into steps in order to follow the plan. At night time, Sagres would expand their territory by alot of chuncks until it meets the border of Andaria. After Andaria noticed the extreme growth of the Sagres, the governor asked for funds from Al-Andalus, so they could growth as well.

| Andaria at South, was incapable of growing, and at North, the already stablished town of Sines was there. So it started to grow to East. Sagres did the same strategy.

| At some point Andaria, have decided to go one chunk down, making the straight border between Sagres irregular. vOkloi in a very diplomatic way went to talk to Andaria, and warned that it was a breach of server rules the way that they decided to go down, was it didn't made at sense following their actual borders and that they alot of space to growth in their interior. Andaria and Al-Andalus have decided to unclaim that chunck. Al-Andalus claimed that it was a "short victory", however Sagres didn't even published anything to said that they won anything.

| At one friday night, underrr putted on place one of the last steps of the plan. The creation of Beja and Cuba, with permanent residents.

| Beja was placed a little above Altura (a portuguese town), so that Al-Andalus couldnt expand into Portugal - has they had plans for it, and Cuba was placed on East of Altura. Altura was surrounded into all directions, except West, and it was the sea.

| Andaria and Al-Andalus have realized that two towns were born and that they were growing fast. The plan of Andaria to growth into the East was finished from that point. Sagres continue to growth as time wen't on but Andaria have stopped.

| ===Acquisition of Andaria, formal treaty with Mauretanea and peacefull times===

| Andaria accepted the defeat, and Portugal acquired Andaria and a treaty was signed between Mauretanea, so that Mauretanea couldnt growth more into Portugal and Spain, however they can maintain their already claimed territories there. Other Mauretanea towns were acquired in South of Spain and South of Gibraltar by the Kingdom of Spain.

| Andaria, now called Odemira, were losing alot of their permanent residents as they wanted to maintain the relations with Mauretanea, however the governor of Sagres, tried to avoid it, however without success. The members were migrating to Al-Andalus and the population of Odemira was declining fast.

| Sagres proceed to remove the wall between the two towns, and have created a memorial in the border between Odemira and Sagres to celebrate the new partnership that was created. Sagres wen't further and created the first national road (N1), that connected Sagres to Odemira, in order to stablished long lasting bonds. N1, fully funded by Sagres, growth even further and connected also Sines, Altura and Beja - setting up records for the longest road in Portugal.

| Sagres stablished a diplomatic relation with Al-Andalus, being the first town in the South of Portugal to do so, and have increase the efforts of maintaing a good relation with them and all the portuguese neighbors. vOkloi even suggested to Al-Andalus a possible bridge connection between the South of portugal and Mauretanea, however Beja and Altura didn't agreed.

| ===Bank of Sagres===

| The Bank of Sagres is the first governmental bank of Sagres, and was founded days after the Mauretanea borders treaty in June 2026. The bank purpouse was the need to define what is public funds and personal funds, and there wasn't a clear line on that. The bank was the solution found, so the bankers set up an ammount of their own personal money voluntarly and pro-bono of Sagres to invest in projects locally and outside, government iniciatives and loans.

| The funds are distributed into various assets, and a large ammount is in gold ore, so that public records cannot provide accurate values. The total ammount is undisclosed in order to protect personal and collective intrests. The founding members were vJuke and vOkloi, and later BearXVR joined as well.

| ===Present day===

| Sagres, is seen now in Portugal, as a stable town with strong members and revolutary government ideas, as the governor took those inspirations from Swiss institucions. The undisputed love of Portugal and the way Sagres is always ready to protect and help any citizen of any Portuguese town, have made Sagres a strong reference internally. New expats are joining with regularity into Sagres and well received, and the governor always make sure to meet them personally, as well as new towns that join Portugal are always gifted from Sagres.
