| |The September 2026 General Election is scheduled to be held on Monday September 28th 2026. It will take place against the backdrop of several key political developments, such as the merger of the United Australia Party (UAP) and National Liberalist Party (NLP) into the Liberal-National Coalition (LNC) and the motion of no confidence in the Dishonesty Government which led to the election being called a month earlier. Current Caretaker Prime Minister and former Prime Minister VIInOni, leader of the LNC, will be seeking a second non-consecutive term in office. If successful, which is widely expected, it will be his first time officially elected to the role. He will be opposed by several minor parties formed in reaction to the merger of the two largest parties in the nation, such as the Greater Goodoogan Front let by former and recently deposed Prime Minister Dishonesty and the Independent Social Reform Australia for Equality and Liberty (ISRAEL) Party led by the first Prime Minister of Australia Smothyhoo. The Australian Democratic Party led by former Leader of the Opposition Hetansh is also contesting. The Australian Labor Party led by XperimentalOdin is not contesting the September Election, with Odin having withdrawn his candidacy prior to the registry closing, whilst the Federal Progressive League of Australia (FPLA) led by ZatAttack did not register at all. | | |The September 2026 General Election was held due to a Motion of No Confidence being passed in the Dishonesty NLP Government. Shortly after, the United Australia Party and National Liberalist Party merged into the Liberal-National Coalition, and formed a coalition with the Goyim Obliteration Party, winning 12 seats. The new ISRAEL Party formed by smothyhoo, nahember and Gautomy succeeded in winning 3 seats, forming the Opposition. |
