2026 Georgian Grand Prix

The 2026 Georgian Grand Prix was a Formula One Ice Boat Race hosted in Tbilisi on the 4th of October 2026, hosting the second round of the 2026 Formula One World Championship. The race was the first Formula One event to be hosted on EarthMC since Aurora following the Zurich Grand Prix which was moved to the Boat Race World Championship server due to excessive lag. Despite this, the race was still notably laggy with the majority of runners experiencing excessive boatkicking and slingshotting despite Ticks Per Second running relatively low. The race also ran a distance of just 31 laps despite a planned 34 laps of racing due to a major SWRC error which also meant race classification had to be manually recorded after the race finish.

The race itself was won by 56Faxeo for the FordAudi team having lapped all of the drivers bar second with Vertza Racing Team's F1rret unlapping himself at the final corner of the final lap to take the second spot on the podium. Dinoco Oil's MKMango took a first podium finish on the countback despite not actually appearing on the podium due to the FIA not having classification for the race finish. 32Jeelow experienced excessive lag during the race, falling him back into tenth position despite starting the race in pole position with second-place runner in Zurich, Talvi, finishing seventh and thus promoting Faxeo to the World Drivers Championship lead with 37 points to Jeelow's 29. Scottish driver Ameberyl finished the race in fourth, promoting the Vertza Racing Team to the lead in the World Constructors Championship by 8 points to FordAudi and thus giving the Italian team their first time in the lead of the Constructors Championship since the 2025s Season under the BMW identity.

Background

The Georgian Grand Prix was the first fully completed Formula One certified track on the Nostra server, created under the Georgian capital Tbilisi and created by Hill24671 and Tendonkeys. The track has a deepslate brick theme with red and white edges and contains walls which hug the track allowing for multiple walltap opportunities.

Track Layout

The track is located underground and is a mix of packed and blue ice with the pitlane featured on the outside on the right of the main straight. The track enters instantly into turn one which is a short and direct acute turn into a short straight. Turn two wraps the track 135 degrees into a long blue-ice straight which is capped by a tight chicane at turns three and four which wrap with a micro-blockstop on the inside of turn four which leads into the second tight chicane of turns five and six, turn six being a 135 degree bend into a blue ice straight with this ending at turn seven which evens the track out again, leading into the hairpin of turn eight. This hairpin leads into the bend of turn nine which leads into the blue ice section on the run to turn ten which is a wall tap or blockstop hairpin which ends the blue ice section into the turn eleven right bend. This gives way to the turn twelve left corner which in turn ends into the turn thirteen hairpin blockstop after a long blue-ice straight. The hairpin ends the blue ice section with turn fourteen a bend to the right into a short straight which starts the final sector of a sharp right bend into a 135 degree right turn before the track finishes with a left and right at turns sixteen and seventeen onto the main straight with the pitlane located far from the racing line on the right hand side of the track.

Entrants

The Georgian Grand Prix saw the return of F1rret to his main seat at the Vertza Racing Team after sitting out the opening round to reserve driver and 2025 BMW main driver, HockeyMan_31 due to his computer dying. Two-time World Champion, GabeTM was replaced for a second round by French Renault reserve driver, Gbaguette, marking the Frenchman's second race in Formula One after scoring a fourteenth in his debut race in Zurich. EarthMC rookie StanTheMan also confirmed his withdrawal from the event on Friday due to being unable to access his computer in time for the Sunday race after finishing ninth in his first race. He was replaced by 2025-26 Indochina Reserve driver Memexcx who signed for the Al-Quack team as a reserve before the season start. Stan changed his driver nationality to Spanish from English alongside Seggy who adopted the Amazon flag in place of the United States.

Qualifying

Qualifying was held between 20:00 GMT on Friday the 2nd of October and queued before midnight on Sunday the 4th of October 2026. All drivers were permitted a timed lap using the SRWC timing system with each lap administered by an EMC FIA board member with Fedrer timing every lap. Additionally, drivers were allowed a second shot for qualifying in which their most recent time is used for their classification. All drivers bar Semicolon did a qualifying lap with six drivers given qualifying after midnight due to a lack of board members.

Qualifying Report

Qualifying commenced at 18:29 GMT on Saturday the 3rd of October with 10Piksel setting a 48.470 for the Genoa Ferrari team. This was quickly beaten by a second with Sepl setting a 47.390 for FordAudi and Tendonkeys going another second quicker at a 46.490 at a track he helped construct. Championship runner-up, Talvi, went to provisional pole position on their second attempt, despite messing up their lap and setting a 45.560. Reserve teammate, gbaguette, beat the Frenchwoman's time with a 45.270 in their second qualifying session to provisionally top the times. Vellange made a second qualifying appearance in their main seat with the Scuderia Sicilia team despite not contesting the Sunday race at Zurich in Round One. She set a 00:47.130 to go fourth quickest at the time.

A full risk lap by Faxeo scored the Brit a dominant provisional pole, his 44.210 over a second quicker than gbaguette in the Renault for his first qualifying session of the season having backstarted at the Zurich Grand Prix without a set time. The Dinoco Oil pairing of Seggy and Mkmango scored successive second positions with Mkmango's 44.850 beating S3ggy's 45.200 and demoted his Amazonian teammate to provisional third. Next to cross the line was Ameberyl for the Vertza Racing Team with the Scot setting a 45.280 on her first shot to go to fifth, having started the previous round in fourth. A surprisingly quick lap on Hill24671's second shot promoted him to third, ahead of Seggy, with a 45.010 at the track which he built; an effective home race for the Dutch driver.

Jeelow scored a wonder lap to end Faxeo's domination, a 44.150 putting him just 6 tenths ahead of the FordAudi driver for a second pole position of the 2026 season and a third in a row following his pole at the 2025-26 season finale in Patagonia. Ameberyl went for a second shot however fell back around 2 tenths to end her qualifying with a 45.460. Aksel was last of the Saturday qualifiers going 45.560 to slot in behind the Scot with qualifying extended by an hour to allow Fedrer to return to timing.

Fauxbethvv was first of the Sunday runners, going 56.980 at 00:17 GMT for her first qualifying of the season. Pwnings was next to run setting a 44.890 on her second shot to put her into provisional fourth with Kyle qualifying immediately after with a 47.680 to go into thirteenth. Memexcx, in substitution for StanTheMan, set a 50.990 to go 16th, followed by multi-time race winner FatihAr who went just one position ahead of the Al-Quack driver with a 47.820. F1rret was given qualifying later on the Sunday with a 44.560 placing him in third position behind Faxeo for his first qualifying session of the season.

Race

The race was held at 20:00 GMT on Sunday 4th October 2026. The race ran across a span of 34 laps with 2 mandatory pit stops however, due to an issue with the SWRC system, the race only ran 31 laps. The race was officiated by Fedrer and PieTheHead with a stream ran by PieTheHead on the F1 Discord.

Although the race was not moved as seen previously, there were still notable lag issues with different racers experiencing varying levels of lag separate from the Ticks Per Second issue seen previously.

Race Report

The race lead was contested from the line with Faxeo entering tandem with Jeelow. Faxeo made the move stick at turn 7 after getting a better exit of a wall tap, kicking Jeelow from his boat and giving the Brit a large lead. F1rret made contact with Faxeo on the opening lap, allowing the teammates of MKMango and Seggy from seventh through, the latter of which was kicked from his boat after colliding with Mango, dropping him down the order and causing multiple other drivers to collide with him. This allowed F1rret to continue in fourth with teammate ameberyl directly behind after starting the race in ninth and in tandem with Hill24671. Sepl also got a great start with the Russian jumping from seventh to eighth behind pwnings. Mid-lap contact in the tight straight between turns 8 and 9 dropped pwnings and F1rret multiple places with the Australian Murweh GP driver entering the pits at the end of the first lap promoting her teammate up a position.

Early pit stops for much of the grid brought the front runners into traffic as early as lap 2 allowing Jeelow an opportunity to repass for the lead on around lap 5 with Faxeo dropping to p3 after getting boatkicked by a backmarker and falling position behind Ameberyl with this rectified with another boatkick but this time for the Scot who collided with pwnings who was a lap down due to her early stop, allowing Faxeo back into second.

Jeelow went for his first stop around lap 9 after encountering backmarkers. Heavy lag issues for the Dane pushed him back massively with Faxeo almost lapping him by lap 12 with the race leader coming into the pit and conceding his lead to AkselV who had passed the two Vertza Racing teammates in previous laps with ameberyl taking an early stop. Faxeo was able to repass for the lead into turn 2 of lap 14 with a late move to the inside of the corner after the Danish driver made contact with traffic.

A pit stop around lap 15 for F1rret brought the English driver out into the path of ameberyl causing contact and for the Scot to lose a place to MKMango who she had been fighting with. This fight drew the two drivers into contention up to seventh with pwnings, AkselV and Talvi also involved whereas F1rret found clean air and built a gap behind where he was able to pit and maintain second position in the final laps of the race. Late race contact for AkselV dropped him from having led the race to sixth position after being passed by his Australian teammate.

In the closing stages of the race, issues with backmarkers brought Faxeo into a fight with F1rret who he lapped during the pit cycle and Jeelow who had been lapped twice after suffering from heavy lag. A collision with backmarkers allowed F1rret to unlap himself on the final corner of the final lap to classify as the only non-lapped driver with Jeelow also able to undouble lap himself at the line. MKMango was able to maintain position over ameberyl, finishing in a first podium position after just 7 races with the Floridian having contested but not classified in additional races in the 2025-26 season. The Murweh GP pair of pwnings and AkselV completed the race in fifth and sixth respectively with Zurich podium sitter Talvi only able to finish in seventh after a difficult weekend, the race which she started in eleventh. Hill took a consecutive eighth finish to bring his points total to 8 with Seggy finishing the grand prix in ninth having done both of his pits early. Behind, 32Jeelow was last of the drivers who were only lapped once, finishing in tenth place to bring home 2 points for the weekend after recieving the additional pole position point.
