Republicanism is a representative form of government organization. It is a political ideology centered on citizenship in a state organized as a republic. Historically, it ranges from the rule of a representative minority or oligarchy to popular sovereignty. (definition is from Wikipedia)

Beliefs and Practices

Republicanism (also known as conservatism) is in simpler terms, the power to the people. (also known as Popular Sovereignty) The members of a place or organization vote for things such as: Leaders, laws, rights, certain decisions that are very important. That kind of stuff. Republics are very similar to Democracies. Except for a Democracies main ideology isn't popular sovereignty and free markets.

Republicanism is also often mixed with other government systems like a Democracy for example. Many real life countries use this system but surprisingly, not many nations on EMC use this political system.
