The ECIR (Eastern Canada Ice Rail) is an old name for the ice highway system run by ii_adzasc that currently is called MECA Rail. It was inspired off the high speed rail company Brightline in Florida. It was originally supposed to be a fully overground railway and there was supposed to be direct service from Pee Pee Island to Rennes. This was changed due to the construction of the Newfoundland Railway and griefing of the tracks in Midgard (now South Domino). At this point it was changed to be an ice highway. The lines are being built to MECA and GMFP towns but only ones that are feasible for extensions. MECA Rail will serve 6 provinces (Newfoundland & Labrador, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Manitoba), 1 territory (Nunavut) and even go into the US (North Carolina, Minnesota, North Dakota). A Bermuda station is also planned on the line to North Carolina. MECA Rail used to follow a system where each line would be a letter. Only A line and B lines were planned until the lettered lines were shortly renamed to being colors. MECA Rail is an ice highway that uses soul sand for ascending and damage-free falling for boats descending. This had to be implemented due to magma blocks not working properly to descend. Systems has been changed to be at 1 Y level in Keewatin
