General elections were held in Cascadia on September 17, 2022 to elect the Governor of Cascadia and all twelve seats in the House of Representatives for one-month terms. This was the second monthly general election in Cascadia. ViolentVampire and SayerQT were elected as the 2nd Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Cascadia. This was the second of three elections in Cascadia to not be held on the third Sunday of a month, and was the first election in Cascadia to utilize proportional representation by means of ranked choice voting.

General elections occurred on 17 September 2022 in Cascadia to elect the Governor of Cascadia and all twelve seats in the House of Representatives for one-month terms. Elections for U.S. president in also occurred on this date. These were the second elections to be held in Cascadia.
Incumbent Governor SayerQT did not stand for re-election. The gubernatorial election resulted in a victory for incumbent Treasurer ViolentVampire, receiving a record 95.2% of the vote. Voter turnout was down slightly at 46.7% of eligible voters. The House elections resulted in incumbents winning just half of the seats, with incumbents winning just around 52% of first-preference votes. This would be the last election held in Cascadia under the Crown of New Mexico, as Cascadia would separate all ties from the Crown of New Mexico on September 29, 2022. It would also be the last election held while Cascadia was a member state of the United States of America (2022), with Cascadia participating in its last U.S. presidential election.

Incumbent Governor SayerQT did not stand for re-election. The gubernatorial election resulted in a victory for Treasurer ViolentVampire, receiving a record 95.2% of the vote. Voter turnout was down slightly at 46.7% of registered voters. The house elections resulted in incumbents winning just half of the seats, with Incumbents winning just around 52% of first-preference votes. These were also the first elections for the House of Representatives held under Nonpartisan Proportional Representation, put into place by the Representation of the People Act passed earlier that month.
As of March 2025, this election remains the largest electoral landslide of any Cascadian presidential election.

Electoral system
Secret ballot
These were the first elections in Cascadia in which secret ballot via electronic form was utilized, instead of a public vote on Discord which was utilized in the inaugural August elections.

Governor
The Governor of Cascadia was elected by plurality due to only two candidates being on the ballot. In this system, voters cast a single vote for a single candidate, and whichever candidate received the most votes after the voting period ended was elected governor. The voting period lasted for roughly twenty four hours. Voters were only allowed to mark one candidate. Candidates for governor ran on a ticket with candidates for lieutenant governor, and were jointly elected.

House of Representatives
Following the enactment of the Representation of the People Act of August 2022, these were the first elections in which members of the House of Representatives were elected using proportional representation by means of the Single Transferable Vote. Members of the House of Representatives were elected by single transferable vote (STV) from 3 constituencies with four seats eached. In this system, voters completed a closed ballot on google forms, numbering candidates 1, 2, 3, etc. in order of their preference. The voting period lasts for roughly twenty four hours, however this may be a tiny bit more. Voters may mark as many or as few preferences as they wish. Each ballot is initially credited to its first-preference candidate but may be transferred on later counts to the next available preference where the first preference candidate is elected or eliminated.

Electoral boundary changes
The House Standing Committee on Apportionment, which was created by an act of the Legislature to propose changes to electoral district boundaries, convened in early September 2022 with ViolentVampire as Chair. The Committee made recommendations on changes to constituency boundaries due to monthly changes in population, influence, and activity.

The Committee's report abolished the Northwest constituency, which had centered on the city of Victoria, and merged it with the Salish constituency. The Salish constituency lost any land east of the Puget Sound, consisting of Seattle, which was transferred to a new constituency. This new constituency was an expansion of the Olympia Constituency to include more of the newly developing Seattle, and was named "Rainier". The East constituency was renamed to "Frontier", and incorporated territory on the northern outskirts of the former Northwest constituency, such as the town of Hope Island.

The changes were unanimously adopted by the House.

}}The September 2022 United States presidential election in Cascadia took place on September 17, 2022, as part of the September 2022 United States presidential election, and alongside other elections in Cascadia. Cascadian voters expressed their preference for who should be elected President and Vice President of the United States of America (2022) for a one-month term via popular vote.

Cascadian voters overwhelmingly voted for the Democratic-Republican ticket of Alaskan governor Malso_ and outgoing Cascadian governor SayerQT, against the Federalist ticket of Louisiana governor Karatoss and Coats governor Cartoon. Despite this, Karatoss would go onto win the election.

This would be the last presidential election Cascadia would participate in, before the severing of ties in October 2022. It was the first (and only) one in which Cascadia participated as a state rather than a territory.

Salish (4 seats)

The Salish constituency consisted of Vancouver Island and the City of Neah Bay. It had previously also had the cities of Renton and Seattle, however those cities were redistricted to the new Rainier constituency. The September 2022 United States presidential election in Cascadia took place on September 17, 2022, as part of the September 2022 United States presidential election, and alongside other elections in Cascadia.
