Nordic Potatoism
Nordic Potatoism is a whimsical religious movement focused on the worship of the Holy Potato, who, according to mythology, created the world out of boredom. Originating from the broader concept of potatoism, this belief system has its roots in Nordic countries, particularly Lapland, although it may have migrated from the Americas.
Beliefs and Commandments Nordic Potatoists follow five commandments:
Monotheism: Worship only the Holy Potato.
Tolerance: Respect other religions unless they don't reciprocate.
Sacred Potatoes: Avoid eating potatoes, considered angels of the Holy Potato.
Conversion: To join, one must simply inform another Potatoist
Ethical Conduct: Do not steal from fellow Potatoists.
Followers
While Nordic Potatoism has few followers, it has gained traction among enthusiasts who adopt the ideology in the world. Currently the religion holds 2 official churches in Inari and the fallen town of Keskimaa.
