Snowpoint is a small town located in the eastern part of Antarctica, founded by agouldnet.

History

The town of Snowpoint was created on August 13, 2024 by agouldnet, but it would not have significant activity until September 19, 2024. This was when a close friend of agouldnet, BladeAndSwitch, was invited to help form a colony on EarthMC for their ROBLOX war clan called ROBLOX Bloxxers United (often shortened to RBU), with other members of the clan joining after it was announced to RBU's members on October 5, some of whom have played on EarthMC before under RBU's previous and now defunct town, Thugistan, which was located in Brazil.

Buildings

Snowpoint architecture has been described by its founders as Brutalist, consisting primarily of large, blocky cuboid shapes with varying types of stone used, typically within the same building. The majority of it is cobblestone and varying forms of deepslate, excavated from the mine system under Snowpoint. Other stone types are used as well, including diorite, andesite, granite, dripstone, and tuff. Wood sees occasional, if scarce, usage in Snowpoint structures, due to the town's location in a frigid desert.

1. Snowpoint Tower, a large observation tower made out of snow at the southeast corner.
2. A small 2-floor house connected to the Snowpoint Tower, notable for being the first structure built
3. Stairs that lead to the crafting area, autosmelter, storage area, cobblestone generator, and mines
4. Farms, of which there's 4 conventional single-layer plots
5. Nether portal next to a farm plot (doubles as garbage disposal)
6. Vertical farm with 4 layers. Used to be single layer until it was upgraded.
7. Another house, connected to the second part of Snowpoint and the vertical farm
8. Mostly unused and not fully claimed walled off area
9. Fishing pool/balcony. Closed for swimming due to AIDS.
10. The Great Wall, made out of varying stone types and has a foundation that goes down to stone to hinder undermining attempts.
11. The Great Trench, which was dug to deter wall climbers/scaffolders and give its excavator free McMMO EXP.

City Subdivisions

Due to its small size, Snowpoint does not have any notable subdivisions or areas.

Government

The town of Snowpoint is for all intents and purposes a dictatorship due to its small population and lack of a need for a formalized chain of command or government structure.

Economy

Snowpoint's economy is mostly based around grain farming and mining, but its ability to import or export goods is limited by its isolation from the rest of the world. Most of the gold obtained by its members from voting/mining is pooled towards expanding the town and eventually becoming a nation. Recently, the town has also started to produce carrots and rabbit meat/hide.

A somewhat minor but noteworthy sector of the economy is salvaging; due to the lack of natural resources on the surface, Snowpoint citizens have taken to scavenging from unclaimed structures and bringing back resources of all kinds.

Military

Snowpoint's military consists of all residents, due to the conscription policy established at its spawn teleport as "By reading this, you agree to be conscripted at any moment" as a result of its origins as a colony of a military group on another game.
