Land of the Deepslate Tree.

Spruce Swamp is a settlement on the edge of a swampy landscape. It has plans to expand Eastwards, to create residential and shopping areas from land to lake. Potential industries involve: fishing and villager trading.

History

Prior to founding, the area was a spruce forest with no notable landmarks or features.

Foundation Era [27th February - 14th March]

Constructed between the 27th February and 1st March, Spruce Swamp was built around a tree that reached deepslate thus being given the title 'Land of the Deepslate Tree'. When founded with 7 chunks, Rocktapper1 gave tours of his settlement to Manicouagan Residents and on 3rd March, a redstone sugar cane machine was constructed to provide supplies to the shop. The settlement was constructed with a style of diorite houses, spruce and oak log supports and deepslate roofs.

Throughout early March, the Spruce Swamp Archive, Baked Potato Farm, Redstone River and residential areas were constructed.

Regeneration Era [15th March - 5th June]

From 15th to 19th March, some buildings were demolished; the sugar cane machine and public dog farm were regenerated into new spaces. The home spawn as improved with more vegetation and the town's chunks expanded from 14 to 21. As a result of Fuze169 and Rocktapper1 helping MasterEWild with redstone, both players constructed a underground metro connecting the town to Fort Aurelian.

On Wednesday 19th, Fuze169 built a bone meal farm in their plot and was pushed to the edge of the town to be killed. Shortly after, Rocktapper1 gave a visitor a tour of the town and when they entered the metro a hunter killed them both. These are the first 3 deaths known in Spruce Swamp's history.

On the 4th April, Rocktapper1 recruited 1 resident who built a shop selling diamonds, diamond ore and other items. The town was expanded from 21 to 31 chunks.

After 2 months of being inactive, Rocktapper1 returned to find Nunavik changed its name to Manicouagan and the town at only 1 resident.

Expansion Era [6th June - Present]

Upon the expansion to 38 chunks and the application for funded expansion, Spruce Swamp was preparing to redesign, remake and move from a unnotable village into a booming town. The plan was: Fuze169 demolishes all buildings on the 6th and both work on terraforming on the 7th. The Eastward expansion begun.

Acts as additional storage and main building for settlement.

Observatory

Used to observe the surrounding landscape and provide shelter for breeding dogs. Its roof has a light to act as a lighthouse.
