The Orthodox Church stands as the one, true Church of Christ within EarthMC — the guardian of Apostolic Tradition and the fullness of Christian truth. Rooted in the ancient traditions of the Orthodox faith, the Church provides spiritual leadership, doctrinal purity, and guidance to the Orthodox Christian community on the server.

Aiming to embody the timeless and unchanging nature of Holy Orthodoxy, we offer players a place to participate in an authentic expression of Christian life and worship, representations of the divine mysteries and Holy Tradition.

The Orthodox Church upholds a hierarchical structure, observes sacred traditions through the representation of the divine mysteries, and provides a space where players can explore and express their faith in a respectful and meaningful way.

Mission

Canon Law

The Sacred Canon Law of the Orthodox Church is a series of books that establish the laws, functions, procedures, customs, and behavioural guidelines all faithful members should follow on EarthMC.

This document serves as the backbone of the Church as it guides its day-to-day operations. To understand the nature and purpose of the Church, it is recommended that one reads the document.

Historia Ecclesiae Gentis EarthMC

The Orthodox Church has stood as the canonical voice of Apostolic Christianity on the server for over 3 years, preserving the traditions of the Church Fathers through generations of Patriarchs, Bishops, and faithful clergy. With a growing fellowship of over 40 committed Orthodox Christians, the Church has re-emerged in 2025 as the one true and unified Orthodox communion on EarthMC.

Though it has weathered challenges and transitions, the Orthodox Church remains a pillar of spiritual life, upholding reverence, tradition, and community in the ever-changing landscape of EarthMC. While often misunderstood as simply a roleplay or political project, the Orthodox Church is first and foremost a living spiritual body—where right belief, right worship, and fellowship in Christ unite believers across nations. Through its liturgy, hierarchy, and witness, the Church continues to shine as a beacon of order and faith.

The Episcopal Restoration (May 2025)

Following a period of dormancy and the loss of functioning governance, the Church was solemnly reconstituted in May 2025 through the Episcopal Restoration. This act reaffirmed the canonical succession of the Orthodox Church on EarthMC and re-established its synodal and spiritual governance.

The restoration was declared by the Episcopate with the sanction of King Tacitvs, who holds the title of Patriarch Emeritus and Autokrator, and was confirmed by the election of His All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Feohtan, as head of the restored Church.

A new server was consecrated as the lawful seat of the Orthodox Church, now serving as the centre of spiritual life, clerical formation, and canonical administration.
